Ich mag normalerweise keinen Pinot Noir, aber der ist ein durchaus angenehmer Traum. Nicht zu wild, dennoch leidenschaftlich. Gut zu Käse oder auf der Terrasse im 5ten Stock bei Dani&Thomas in LU.

Great bang for the buck! Tobacco and forest floor on the nose, minerals and oak on the palate. Sandy tannins, elegant and light mouth wine. Great for Pinot Noir lovers. 6/10 would buy again.

Really elegant wine and understand why it is called PN and not Spatburgunder as it is closer to a Burgendy wine than typical SB. Light cherry notes on the palette and subtle oak.

I have to admit that I still fight with German red wine but this one was indeed very tasty. Pale red in the glass with a nice bouquet of wild berry and oak. On the palate the wine is impetuous with a lot of tannins but with a good character. This isn’t an easy one but I liked it very much. Maybe my door to Germany

Un pinot qui nous vient de la Pfalz. Un peu de bois, pas mal de fruit, il est rustique au nez et aussi en bouche. Très bon sans être exceptionnel.

Mycket doft, främst mörkare röda bär och fat. Betoning på detsamma i smaken, men även med noter åt vinbär och vanilj. Låg syra, bra balans. Drickvänlig, ganska typisk pinot.

Nice wine high acidity and rich fruity flavour. You can feel the oak. Paired with sweet potatoes and grilled meat.

Gillar!!! Doft av jordgubbar och körsbär. Var först väldigt torr med hög syra, men med luft och mat blev det både lite mjukare och syran blev mer resonlig. Man känner av ekfaten, men det har även inslag av lingon, bär, örter och ceder. Tror nog det kan vara min först PN från Pfalz men hittills är jag såld! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

lighter body than I usually preferr....but surprising richness and wonderful flavors. Acidity is high..making this a great food or cheese wine....low alcohol is a nice change from the new world styles. I would buy again....

"The joy of discovery!" Glassy, this German red blend tasted to me a great deal like a blaufrankische, with a body slightly bigger than most Pinot Noir and a beautiful dark fruit and forest funk profile. Fun wine.

My first cab blend from Germany. It's quite good. Toasted blackberry nose, forest floor, well integrated spicy and dark fruit notes.

Blackberries and not ripe plums. It opens up and rounds perfectly after some time. Really really light spicy finish with some oak. Elegant , not extra heavy but really enjoyable

Surprisingly good wine, considering 7 years age. Very nothernly grown Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Dornfelder developed to spicy, dried fruit flavored, medium tanic wine. Balanced, no sighns of green fruits.

Slightly oaky, but well integrated. Well I'm its drinking window. Rather soft and fruity, less acidity than expected. Good food match.

Great QPR for 13€! Too juicy and simple, yet somehow charming and fair mineral Pinot. Bursting with red wild berries and cherry, supported by earthy and slightly medicinal notes. Fresh, lively acidity and M soft tannins.

Light juicy German Pinot Noir. Fresh cherry, raspberry, cranberry, dried herbs, smoked plum.

Kein einfacher PN, Neues, sperriges Holz, aber dennoch der erdige Duft und die Frucht des Pinot. Auf lange Lagerzeit angelegt, interessant, in ein paar Jahren nochmal probieren.

Gehört eigentlich nicht zu meinen bevorzugten Rebsorten, aber dieser Wein hat mich wirklich überzeugt. Liegt wahrscheinlich auch an derReife im Eichenfass. Werde ich wieder kaufen.

🇩🇪, Ein grundsolider Burgunder aus der Pfalz. Feine rote Beerenfrüchte, dazu eine angenehme Würze. Gut eingebundene Säure, passt leicht gekühlt auch gut zu Muschel Gerichten oder Pasta.

Friedrich Becker is one of the best Pfalz producers. This Pinot Noir is their entry level red and it drinks appropriately. Lots of chalky minerality and tart raspberry on the nose. The palate follows with under ripe red fruits, redcurrant and cranberry, with some earthy soil undertones. Juicy acidity with light body and tannin. Decent German Pinot. 87 points

Base Pinot of this renowned house. Beautiful lively acidity, light fine tannin, very juicy. Little fruit. Earthy note, barnyard, leather, medicinal notes, some red fruit.

We were in Frankfurt for our son’s baseball tournament. We had wanted to get the wine region near buy, but didn’t have time. So we visited a local wine merchant and picked up this 🇩🇪 Pfalz PN. It took some time to open up. Translucent ruby with hints of garnet in the glass. Mushroom and earthy nose. Cherry, red currant, earthy, and oak with some hints of tobacco on the plate. A medium bodied PN.

3,6 ⭐ The BECKER Pinot Noir Tradition 2018 did not entirely convince me. It’s a family owned vinyard with a sympatic modern website. Rimelig tysk Pinot Noir. Noe reduktiv, fruktig, lette tanniner og god syre som passer fint til fet mat som andeconfit. Litt for høy alkohol (13.5%!) gjør den noe ubalansert.

Guillaume by Friedrich Becker, strong and voluminous red wine with a wood touch and a mineral, earthy and leathery impression. A bit too much: the acidity. the grapes for this easy-drinking, elegant red wine were harvested by hand and fermented in open oak vats according to the good old tradition. Then matured for 18 months in the barrel. It has a fine tannin structure and aromas of berries, cherries, leather and chocolate, so they discribe their product. It’s so called the basic red.

大トロにも赤身にも合う。どちらの脂も綺麗に流してくれる。嫌な果実味もなし。逆に鮨以外にどう合わせるのか…笑。

Lots of primary fruit. Cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry. Juicy, high acidity. Forest floor earthiness. Some oak derived notes: vanilla, clove, Tobacco leaf, licorice. Nice balance, very drinkable. Lovely German easy Pinot noir

Rauchige Arome in der Nase. Geschmacklich überhaupt nicht rauchige oder scharf, sondern schön würzig. Sehr guter trockener Rotwein mit einem außergewöhnlichen Geschmackserlebnis.

Nice amount of acidity, low on tannins. Cherry, raisin, plum, red apple with a dash of cinnamon and vanilla. Recommended as a house wine.

2016 Friedich Becker Bordeux Blend Hue of deep ruby Aromas of earth, leather, wet gravel, petroleum, cassicum, licorice, white pepper, blackberry, cassis, vanilla, tobacco. Body: med-med+ Acidity: med-med+ Tannin: silky and low Finish: mod Funky, earthy, rich, juicy, easy-drinking with tone of blackberry. Quite merlot dominant with oak concentration. Outstanding tones of tobacco, vanilla, and chocolate. Finish of greeny spices like mint, cassicum and licorice. 86 pts.

Cherry and red fruit. Light acidity, has an old world look and feel but has that German touch. Worth a try

Er benötigt immer noch extrem viel Luft, um sich zu entfalten. Anfangs sehr säurelastig, später deutlich runder. Dennoch hat er deutlich Bessere im Portfolio.

Dark ruby colour, this wine offers fruity and iron aromas in the bouquet. The palate delivers dark cherry, spices and nicely balanced tannins with a hint of spiciness developing in the long finish.

Pfalz meets Bordeaux. Becker's version is probably more interesting than similarly priced Bordeaux, though. Just make sure to open well before drinking - volatile aromas, reminiscent of a shoe store and nail varnish, dominate (a bit Pinotage like). Soon berries, bell pepper, oak, and bay leaf unfold. Tannins are integrated enough, acidity quite high and racing. This deep ruby is of distinct style and should br checked by those who look for adventure in a glass.

2015. Kräftig und voluminös, geprägter Holzeinsatz mit Vanille. Dezente Fruchtigkeit, die Tanine sind noch etwas rau und die Säure nicht perfekt eingebunden. Trotzdem ein gutes PLV.

Gutswein, maar wel van een VDP producent. Cabernet, Merlot, Schwarzriesling, Dornfelder. Robijnrood met paarse schijn. Mooie aromatische neus. Kriek, framboos, aardbei, braam, pruim, viooltjes, rozenblaadjes. Fruitige aanzet. Medium en ronde tannines, medium+ zuren (rabarber, kers). Heeft hout gehad, maar daar heb ik weinig van teruggevonden. Lange afdronk met redelijk wat kruidigheid en licht bittertje. 13,5%. Licht gekoeld drinken. Kan de stijl moeilijk plaatsen (zit tussen Loire CF en Beaujo)

Concentrate like

Medelfyllig pinot, känns sval men blir bättre dag två. Näsa: röda bär, mullbär, körsbär och övermogna hallon. Lite rökig/jordig Mun: samma röda bär men med lite krita nästan.

Swirl Cabernet etc tasting….. Greeen smell and taste. Thin-ish palate. A pass for me.

A bit crude & raw, bone-dry red cuvée ('Cabernet Sauvignon' , 'Merlot', 'Dornfelder', 'Schwarzriesling' = 'Pinot Meunier') directly from the German/French border, from Schweigen, Pfalz by well-known VDP winemaker Friedrich Becker. Dense tannins, very high anthocyans load, rich structure, med(++) bodied wine, with cassis, bunch of other dark forest berries, aronia, leather, wood. Still lively, purplish colour. Blue and red berries with hints of laurel and some chocolate and leather. Quite high acidity, but ok with food.

Dark purple red color. Riped cherry, mushroom, tar on the nose. Plum, prune, licorice showing bold, dense and dry palate. Interesting blend and definitlely unique palate but there were too much animal scent for me to like it. 3.3

For me this is an unfortunate no-go, I started feeling the headache coming right away. Way too acid, way too earthy, too much wine mould in taste.

A～A'　G　一応ドイツの作り手なんですが、畑は国境をまたいでアルザス側にもあるらしいという変わり種。品種もカベルネが中心のブレンドらしく、アルザスだろうとドイツだろうとこれまた変わり種。ワイン自体はていねいに造られている感じがして、口当たりが柔らかくてミディアム強くらいのボディ、はっきりわかる青さは全くなし。どことなく緑ハーブ的な清涼感はあって、14度強のアルコールを考えると、引っかかりなく爽やかなめらか。いい飲み頃。コップで飲んでも美味しそうなので、バーベキューなんかにもいいかも。3000円弱くらいらしいですが、十分満足できる品質だと思います。
