What a fun grape! Light oak, hay, open field, little gaming's. Soft on the palate, quick burst of acidity with the purple fruit on the palate.

I bought this as a low-cost, mid-week sipper, but this last bottle was darn tasty. We finished it on day two and it had really opened up. I shouldn't be surprised, thought, as Aglianico needs either age or a lot of air. 100% Aglianico.

Floral nose. Red cherries and earth. Dry with medium tannins. Short finish. Nothing memorable but easy drinking and paired well with lasagna.

3.75 Leather and raspberries at first. Smooth, non complex palate with a light smoky balsamic raspberry profile. Simple and easily drinkable, but no wow factor.

One of the weirdest wines I tried this year. Aromas of swedish bitter + fruit residue. I hate bitter so I couldn't drink it. But the aromas are impressive for a wine. 3.7

“Remember that episode of the Golden Girls when Blanche ….” This is how I start most conversations with Rosanne. We haven’t spoken in 2 weeks after the 24 hour Golden Girls marathon. Right before the marathon we drank this wine and Rosanne thought this tasted a lot like a Chianti. And guess where Sofia grew up??? If you guessed Italy then consider us friends.

A touch of dark-fruit sweetness in the front, but with huge flavor, acidity, and deep spicy notes, not to mention substantial tannins, following. Good, but very big. L. did not like at all. Good the second day.

Vibrant red ruby colour. Produced with 100% Aglianico from D'Angelo. Medium bodied, very aromatíc, floral and herbal with tones of dried fruit (prune mostly) in the nose and palate. Sweet with cherry tones, good acidity, despite a bit unbalanced, and tanic enough, however the fruit could be nicer. Very good wine for the price, good value at all, with potential aging at around 8 years.

QPR alert at 8$! A nice, entry-level IGT Aglianico. I gave this 1 hour to open, which improved it .2 stars for me. Deep brick red with a garnet hue and random, thick legs. Nose of dark fruit, mushroom, tobacco, and dusty basement. Opening of red fruit and black fruit favoring raspberry and black plum with green peppercorn, tobacco leaf, smoke, and forest floor. Medium bodied and medium acidity with a thin tannin structure in a long, slow finish. Peace and cheers!

Corpo leve, aroma terroso. Mineral e seco no paladar. Depois que abre aparecem frutas vermelhas (cereja) e taninos domados. Boa acidez, gastronômico!

Primeira experiência com a uva aglianico! Vinho gostoso, redondo, leve, acidez presente, notas de frutas vermelhas como framboesa e cranberry, um pouco de madeira, fumaça e especiaria como canela.

Vinho de coloração vermelho claro, frutas vermelhas frescas, floral, especiarias, mineralidade. Em boca corpo leve/médio, frutas vermelhas, boa acidez e bastante gastronômico. 88 pts.

3.3, primeira vez que bebo essa uva, esperava mais. No início pareceu desequilibrado, mas foi evoluindo na taça. No nariz frutas vermelhas, terra molhada, couro. Na boca um vinho bem mineral, acidez elevada, seco, taninos fortes, intensidade alta. QPR- Bom!!!

Quase um ano depois uma nova garrafa aberta. Esse italiano elaborado à partir da Aglianico, uva italiana cultivada nesse caso na região da Basilicata entrega um visual granada intenso com halo dourado e aromas de chocolate, ameixa e leve madeira sinais de rápida passagem de 5 meses por carvalho em barricas de segundo uso. Recebeu 91 pontos de James Suckling. Um exemplar de ótimo custo benefício.

Cepa nada convencional, mas de vinhos interessantes e difíceis de avaliar. No olfato é mineral e traz tb cereja. Tem acidez acentuada, é seco, bem tânico, c/ final de frutas vermelhas mas pouco persistente.

今日は好きなアリアニコ。 カーサ・ディ・ニコロ・ダンジェロ サクラヴィーテ 香りは、冷やし気味なのにも関わらずグッと黒果実の濃い香り。味わいもズッシリでは？と予想されます。 肩すかしな程のスッキリした味わい。 まるでサンジョベーゼのような強めの酸味？アリアニコってこんな感じだったっけ？ タンニンはありながら、ちょいとざらついていて、多少熟れすぎの果実の独特な香り。 しかし、時間が経つにつれ、樽香、塩味、タンニンもキュッと締まってきて、香水のような色が濃い花の甘い香り。どんどん開くわ開くわ。 だからといって、イタリア南部のダイナミックでどっしりというのではなく、華やかで、しかもなんか可愛らしい感じ。

Dark red with tawny hints. Nose: little oxidated, earthy, ripe jammy plums, hints of mushroom. Taste: high acidity and tannins, little fruit, hints of cherries, plums. Medium - finish. It paired perfectly with pepperoni pizza! Great qpr also.

L’assaggio è di buon corpo e di buon equilibrio, scorrevole e armonico. Buona anche la lunghezza.Ideale anche a tutto pasto, è ottimo per accompagnare il pollo al vino.
