Buenísimo y muy especial
The nose takes you away with violets a little smoke forest floor herbs tarragon thyme and raspberry. The palate is way long with tantalising red fruits raspberries red cherry subtle herb and a gentle pomegranate acid finish. The tannins are perfectly integrated
97+RP/ A fruity and floral Mencía blend with local varieties (Caiño, Sousón, Garnacha..)from 70yo vineyards is matured for 12-14m in French oak barrels with aromas of black fruits, wild herbs 🌿, balsamic, spices, liquorice and floral notes.
Pombeiras is the coolest climate single site. 70-year-old vines planted on granite and quartz. Fermented in large 20-year-old 'Cuba' French oak with 10% stems, all whole bunches, for 60 days, then aged 10 months in 5-year-old 500l French barrels. Pombeiras means 'pigeons'. 800 bottles produced in 2021. 80% Mencia / 20% Local varieties (Caiño, Sousón, Merenzao, Brancellao). Spicy. Earthy. Dark fruit. Bit of florals. Nice texture coming through on the finish. Light and elegant.

Aqui a safra é 2021 e está mais floral e perfumado do que nunca! Na boca é complexo, sedoso, equilibrado e harmônico. Excelente custo benefício. SC: 96/100
Veldig god vin
Leather on the nose, and carries into the first few drinks. Then a granite/ pond water nose shows up and a bit of tart red fruit

Guímaro Finca Pombeiras 2022 is striking for its precision and understated elegance. The nose is layered yet restrained, led by blackberries and black cherries, with fine accents of pepper and fresh herbs adding lift and complexity. On the palate, it shows medium body with polished tannins and a bright, refreshing acidity that drives focus and balance through the finish.

93+ Blend of Mencía (70%) with a mix of Brancellao, Merenzao, Garnacha, Mouratón, Negreda and Sousón fermented with stems and with 12m aging in 225 and 500L FO barrels. Med+ intensity cherry color. Med+ intensity on the nose. Aromas of rye bread, yoghurt, butter, red apple, suede leather, fresh meat, black currant, black cherry. On the palate dry, med-high acidity, alcohol well integrated, med+ fine tannins, med+ body, long finish, med-high flavor intensity, toffee, sloe and salty taste. Sav
Garnet in color. The nose reveals rustic notes in the first attack, followed by red fruit, raspberry, minerals, forest floor, floral, and lipstick over time. Light tannins, high acidity, 13% ABV. The palate is elegant and rich. The finish is long.
Barcelona Wine Week. Just brief impressions. A wine that I’ve been trying to taste for a while. Potent and spicy. Lots of wild red fruit with tannins that show a little green side (and in a good way). I would keep it for a couple of years, but totally my style.

Dark ruby. Full bodied with high tannins. Aromas of blackberries, cherries, tobacco , leather, vanilla, plums. Long finish. Nice one
This medium bodied and smooth Galician blend from Ribeira sacra really have to breath, it’s quite savoury and herbaceous first, then the black cherries and balsamic come through, along with some vanilla, liquorice and leather. It’s earthy, has great acidity, smoooooth tannins and very decent long spicy finish. Grapes are mencia, brancellao, merenzao, garnacha, mouraton, negreda and souson.
Pours deep red, but is surprisingly medium bodied. Floral summer fruits, raspberry and blackcurrant, with smoky chocolate finish
Full bodied, a lot of spice, chocolate and fruits, very rounded, i prefer the capeliños though
Entra bien a temperatura inferior a los 19° cuero frutos rojos
Mooie wijn, donker, licht fruitig beetje leer in de neus, klein beetje noten, fijne tannines, klein zuurtje, mooie leerschool 🍷
