Paired with a variety of tapas, good company and conversation. Big tobacco and leather notes due to the tannins, and that's pretty much all I paid attention to at dinner. Cheers!

Very drinkable wine alone or with food. Fruity, balanced, great buy. Monastrell is usually blended. Unusual to find 100% Monastrell. As another reviewer mentioned it has a pervasive bitterness that does not detract but does have an astringent effect on your mouth.

Vino de capa alta. Nariz escasa. Concentrado con fruta roja no madura. Persistencia golosa. Alcohol no detectable. Buen descubrimiento.

I love a nice Mourvèdre/monastrell. Big, bold and flavorful while having a nice balanced body, a perfect everyday drinker, and this one is no exception. Simple aromas of berry give way to a nice supple texture and sadly a short finish, but at this price this a great midweek go-to.

Tremenda Monastrell, ya lo dice el título de este vino alicantino de Enrique Mendoza. Muy frutal y una madera elegantísima, un acierto seguro. Juan Gil en Jumilla y Enrique Mendoza en Alicante, grandes trabajando esta variedad en la cuenca mediterránea. Del gusto de Robert Parker que le da 92 puntazos merecidísimos. Vino capa media, brilloso, limpio. En nariz lo percibo algo especiado, noto fresa y manzana roja madura. En boca lo noto algo astringente, un poco seco, con notas de vainilla, tabaco, anís, manzana roja, cereza negra y ciruela pasa. Es un vino redondo, con cuerpo. De final de medio a largo. Un buen vino, muy recomendable, debe estar en tu cava!!

En olfato, Pimiento, cebolla, cereza, camote, ciruela, en gusto, chocolate amargo, ciruela, acidez media, retrogusto medio a largo, vino redondo, cuerpo medio, vino con buena estructura, buen vino con muy buen RCP.

Mucha cereza. Notas a tabaco y chocolate. Frutal, incluso goloso. Cuerpo medio. Buena acidez y alcohol. Muy rico.

Lokal pokal i Allicante. Frisk og fin hvitvin. Konsumert med en god runde sushi og asiatisk «tapas». Helt prima.

3.8 Я б сказал вино на любой вкус. Сильное и терпкое из только открытой бутылки и гармоничное насыщенное потом. Из ряда испанских со вкусом "подвяленных" ягод, но в меру сахара, больше баланса и интересных оттенков.

Great wine. Full bodied, bold and spicy. I need to revisit it soon and give it the proper descriptive review it fully deserves!

2010 Vintage As it opens, the nose goes from alcohol (this wine is pretty hot at 14.5%) to lush blackberries and nuts and tons of oak. Medium + to High acid, Med- tannin that grips a bit but not much. The wine feels medium bodied and rich. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla, a little woodsy taste. Overall it's a good wine that reminds me of blackcherry jello - in a good way. Easy to drink with enough depth to savor, but light enough to quaff.

Ocean nose with a mineral tight berry-forward flavor . With tightly coiled spice and a dry salt water flavor-feeling . I might unwind this a bit first if I had a whole bottle but I was just having a glass outside on the patio street dining at Boqueria , on West 40th street in Manhattan - in Times Square ( fyi their Pulpo tapas and their Nutella churros went nice with this red wine on a hot night .) Toward the end of the glass a hint of chocolate and motor oil ? Hot night wine ! Summer stuff .

É um vinho espanhol proveniente da região de Alicante, feito com a uva Monastrell (também conhecida como Mourvèdre). É um vinho encorpado, com aromas intensos de frutas negras maduras, como ameixa, amora e cereja, além de notas de especiarias, ervas e toques minerais. Na boca, apresenta taninos firmes, bom corpo e um final longo e equilibrado. É ideal para acompanhar carnes grelhadas, pratos condimentados e queijos envelhecidos.

Tem um custo X benefício bem interessante. 👁 tem uma tonalidade vermelho sangue, levemente atijolado, brilhante. 👃🏻 cerejas e morangos secos, toque vegetal que lembra um pouco o pimentão, cedro e uma leve baunilha 👅 Em boca ele tem um curioso toque adocicado, tem taninos bem marcados e expressivos porém domados, acidez alta e final longo. Un vino spagnolo rosso rubino , un po' aspro ma con note di frutti rossi , sapore di terra e con un tasso alcolico abbastanza alto.

Enjoyable with tapas and friends over dinner.

This is a lovely wine, very light but packed full of fruit flavours.

デュッセルドルフのタパスにて。 ちょっと粗いかな。 雑味が気になったけど、お気軽なタパスらしい味。

多分ピーロートのスペインセット。 最初酵母の香りが立つ感じがした。 スペインぽいがスペインにしてはタンニン強め？果汁感はスペインの他のワインほどはない。 しっかりとしているので食事と合わせて楽しめる。

I'm still a beginner with spanish reds, thought this was similar to tempranillo in terms of earthy flavors. served room temp into a freshly washed hot glass at restaurant, too warm :( 3.25

Very drinkable for a Monastrell red, which I normally find to be too dry for my tastes. Strong flavours of blackberry and oak. A hint of tobacco? Big waves on the glass. A cheap bottle (6 euros in Spanish supermarcado) A good 3 stars.

Leider etwas übereicht. Viel Kirsche, Schokolade, Vanille und Schokolade. Etwas Röstaromen. Viel Kröper jedoch wenig Tanine. Mittlere bis hohe Säure.

Violets, raspberry, unripe strawberry, white pepper. Medium acidity, low sugar, medium tannic finish.

Truly I give it a 3.25. It’s a very Spanish wine with its spice and earthiness.

Gets more when it breaths. Lot of sweet spices and red forest fruits.
