The joys of mountain fruit are clearly evident So many layers Packs a punch. Probably drinking a little early but Still great
This came recommended at dinner and it was a huge hit. Very similar structure to a Howell Mountain cab. Fruity and juicy with a smooth balanced finish. Amazing!
Vanilla, tobacco, oak , smooth, subtle with a long even finish, it doesn’t hit you with heavy jammy flavors but a rather soft continuous lasting impression. 2016 vintage
This is now on the list to visit. Everything is balanced, just a wonderful wine. blackberry oak blueberry leather cherry

Fabulous fruity bold smooth. Buy again
Had this at a Capital Grille in Denver and was blown away. We've been looking for it here in Ontario, and the LCBO had one bottle in their inventory... Everything about this wine will leave you wanting more. Great with red meat and was better with each glass. Perfect.
Outstanding. Cheery & BlackBerry with a smooth, dry finish. One of my favorites!
Amazing. Top notch quality
Parents came into town for the weekend to celebrate my belated birthday. Was a great weekend capped off with this incredible cab that paired beautifully with the bone-in ribeye at Steak 48. Hopefully I’m lucky enough to have again someday!
Very good. Very dry and chalky. Needs to be with food. Excellent compliment to a ribeye.
Amazing wine, full body, wonderful dark fruit, plum, black raspberry, one of my all time favorites
Thick hearty wine. Exactly what you want from veeder wine. Full body, good fruit forward, perfect dryness. Earthy cab with oak finish.
This is fantastic!! Such a elegant, balanced cabernet. You get amazing dark fruit- cassis, plum with hints of pencil shavings, vanilla and beautiful earthy notes. This is a blockbuster wine. Every sip is a joy.
Good wine for the price.
This wine spoke to me. It yet beckons… Tried at New Hampshire wine week VIP tasting room. Limited notes due to trying many wines.
Awesome. Lots of oak aging which I prefer, silky smooth all the way to the finish line. 4.5 for me.
Vanilla and roses embedded deep cherry heavy bodied a palate of mild spices well balanced. bought for 70
Fabulous Love it Great nose
Just fantastic! Be brave enough to spend the money. It is worth it!
Never fails to impress
Good and Smooth overall
Excellent, well balanced cab. Not a fruit bomb, good balance. Food friendly.
Blackerry, and cherries and dark chocolate. Silky finish. Holy fuck. Amazing. Impressed.

Very smooth Cab! Love the Mt Veeder region.
Plum, raspberry, oak, caramel
Had a 2015 bottle recommended by the sommelier at Flagstaff in Boulder, was incredible with a filet. Full bodied, rich, everything you want in a cab with dinner.
Incredible wine. Voluptuous, dark chocolate covered berries. Very balanced, light tannins. Needs a somm glass to give the wine the most respect in terms of drinkability!

A pleasant surprise wonderful texture & smooth finish
Full bodied, not too dry
👌🏼 dark fruit, dry bold, leather
Great bold wine
Very amazing wine! Paired really well with my steak! oak dark fruit leather
Outstanding. You can taste the struggle of the grape.
Very smooth with a great finish
Unbelievably smooth.
mountain taste
Dry. Bold.
Good fruit forward cab. Medium plus complexity. Fruit forward (but not overly done), oak, silky mouthfeel, reasonable complexity, medium plus finish. Nice wine that competes well at this price point.
Beautiful Cab. Blackberry, blueberry and plum. Some earthy notes with a very unique tannic structure. Nicely balanced it is ready to drink now but will improve over 8-10 years. Great food wine.
Fantastic. Opulent. Blackberry Smokey cinnamon juice
Interestingly Napa cab - more of a Bordeaux style tannic bite and less fruit forward. Very smooth. Ordered at Steak Social.

Tried at Wine Spectator Grand Tour. Bold and beautiful at the right price point for the region
Delicious fruit flavor but very strong tannin
What an amazing wine, my husband and I had this at Eddie V’s in Tysons, the manger recommended this with our steaks and wow what a pairing. Notes were berry and some baking spices and a nice warmth but not too dry. blackberry oak vanilla dark fruit blueberry smoke baking spice
A Bordeaux style blend of 92% cabernet sauvignon, 4% cabernet franc, 2% merlot, 1% malbec and 1% petit verdot. Cassis and blueberries are joined on the nose by hints of dried sage, bay leaf and oak. It is full-bodied on the palate with flavours of cedar, plum, chocolate and leather. Sweetish, with silky tannins and mouthwatering ripe fruits on the long finish
A; bright dried cherry, vanilla, tobacco, caramel P; Full, ced, round tannin, blackberry cola, vanilla, tobacco
Enjoyable Napa cab! Hits the notes you look for from this grape in this region. I’m not a mountain cab man generally, as it misses the fruit I crave but this is a thoroughly enjoyable wine. Blackberry, oak, pepper, tobacco. Enjoyed in a wine and food tasting with the wife and in-laws. Paired with wagyu steak, potatoes and spring vegetables.
J carvers Earthly, delicious but not velvety and lacks depth
3/29/25 at The Spire Collection Dinner at The Reserve On the nose: plum, vanilla, cherry On the palate: heavy tannins, lots of oak, leather and a dark fruit finish
Mt Brave is always a solid choice for a beautiful cab from a mountain AVA. This wine is excellent with loads of dark berry fruits and spice but certainly needs some years to soften. I don’t necessarily recommend drinking this young, but if you have to, decant for 2-4 hours or try the Malbec which is certainly more approachable in its youth. I have not had the Merlot. Overall, a rockstar wine in the incredible Spire Collection lineup from JFW.
This is a very light well balanced cab.

Solid, smell was weak, not at light
Don't like these tannins, they totally dominate the wine and throw it off balance. It's hard to give good notes because it's so tannic, honestly. The nose tends toward cherry fruit and leather.
Dry fruit loved it
