A magnificent blend. You can tell this is Heidi Barrett just by the first taste. Big burst of black cherry and plum coupled with fresh raspberry underlying tones of licorice and a bit of cocoa. Where the Barretteness comes in is the leather Cigar, and graphite. It’s a three year old that runs like an old pro. I bought 3 bottles. The other 2 are going to mellow for a couple of years. I can’t wait

Complex flavors

Absolute cracker of a wine. This one really jumps out at you from the first mouthful. Very soft, sweet and full of dark cherry notes and taste.

Boom! Loved this so much. So beautifully balanced. Nice fruit, tannin and terrific finish. Reminded me of Napa reds I loved from 94-97. 🔥❤️

Another excellent Heidi Barrett blend. Big, bold, needs decant and time to find its full potential. I bought a bottle on the spot to see where this beauty will end up!

Smokey, blackberry vanilla nose. Very complex. Oak, smoke, hint of blackberry jam notes. Tannins and alcohol warmth kick in at the end and have a long fade out.

Served blind by @[1|2881508|CPH] I guessed North American Bordeaux Blend! ✅✅ But I didn’t detect the black sheep Syrah they added 😂 Really enjoyed this one! Vibrant!💪🤘 Yummy dark fruit. Borderline jammy, but not crossing the line! 👮‍♂️ Oak noticeable but not too much. White pepper spice👌 Awesome bottle to finish a fun-themed evening! Thanks Colin 👏👏

Amazing wine. Fruit forward. Notes of blackberry, blueberry and smoke. Rich and full bodied but silky and ever so pleasant tannins - dark cherry and chocolate palate. Long and memorable finish.

Great blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, merlot, cab franc, syrah and petit verdot. Fruit forward and great finish. Notes of blueberry and black currant. Unreal with years to grow.

Heidi Barrett at it again with this awesome red! Bold notes of black cherry, cigar box, fig, cranberry, and licorice. Long finish, firm tannins currently- expect them to go to elegant with some age, bold but elegant feel. Definitely a label to get your friends to be like Huh? Until they find out who it is behind it. Definitely dig this wine, can't wait to see it aged a lot more. Worth the price!

1st tasting at the Wine in Winter event last night. This was excellent. This label is not the label on the bottle though. We were all impressed with the depth of this red blend. Dark fruit, , chocolate, violet on the finish taste.

A more reasonable Heidi Barrett label that is both robust and refined. Interesting how the hologram label changes as you tilt it. Full flavor; medium complexity. I think it has 5 varietals. Soft, floral finish. Cheers!!

2016 - awesome nose of graphite, powerful black fruit, pencil shavings and cherry on this Cab heavy, Heidi Barrett blend. Grainy tannins show up front in the mouth, baked plum, leather and bakers chocolate. Raspberry and earth carry the med-long, inky finish. 4.4* for me, VN94

95 pts. Quite young on the palate. Bright red fruit with nice floral lift towards the finish. No hard edges here. Just a pleasant and opulently textured wine. The freshness really sets this apart, deftly balancing the ripely fruited palate and oak influence.

Wonderfully aromatic, earthy nose of dark fruit, cigar box, dark chocolate, leather, underbrush, and eucalyptus, soothing mouthfeel, flawlessly balanced palate of blackberry sauce and ripe black cherry with notes of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, licorice, and black pepper, grippy tannins, lengthy finish. Paired well with seared pork loin, whipped potatoes, and roasted vegetables.

I’m interested to see where this goes in the future. Heidi Barrett’s second label Merlot (Amuse Bouche the first), this has great mouthfeel, intensity level, and just an enjoyable experience with a finish that lasts 20-30 seconds. Definitely enough acid/tannin to age gracefully, I personally think it’s ready now. There’s definitely a crushed floral component here that’s got me guessing too, adding mystery value. If you want to try a Napa Merlot, this would be one of my first recommendations.

Very good red wine, with nice nose, the right age and oak, round and silky on the palate. 96 Parker Points are justified.

Glad to know this wine. Really a high quality napa CS. Lots of black currant with smooth mouthfeel. Oaky but not overwhelming. Low acidity was only minus for me. Excellent.

Bold. Oak nose with blackberry up front followed by leather, and some vanilla and licorice at the end with oak all the way through. Smells and tastes like The USS Constitution - fantastic with red meat.

Apart from the kickass 3D label, Rich dark mocha, quite boozy on the nose as well dark plum cinnamon and chocolate on the nose. more darker on the palate with a nice spiced chocolate finish that is quite long

Raspberry. Red fruit. Not too much oak. Juicy fruit forward with a tobacco finish.

Dark fruit with mild oak. Touches of vanilla, chocolate and earthy leather on the finish.

Very interesting hologram like label. 2014 bordeaux blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot of various napa vineyards. Very bold and intense wine. Chocolate, tar with a medium to long finish. Still drinking young and will get better with another 5-10 years or more bottle age.

Deep Purple Ruby coloured, big bold body, silky smooth tannins, dry with quite elevated acidity. Nose of oak blackcurrant bell pepper, notes of oak blackberry cherry chocolate leather plum smoke tobacco cured meat with a nice big cigar box end. This wine needs to be decanted at least 1 hour, the evolution is great, it is 10 years old and probably needs another 10 to fully develop, great wine but, definitely needs fatty food, I had it with mushroom risotto and lasagne, perfect!!

アミューズ・ブーシュのヴァン・ペルデュ。cs.69%、メルロ.10%、シラー.10%、pv.8%、cf.3% 新樽率55%、熟成はバリック22ヶ月。 香りだけだと、ブルゴーニュ！？と思えるくらい華やかな香り。赤果実、草木の香りを感じた。スパイス、シナモンのようなニュアンスもある。飲んでみるとタンニンがしっかりとあり、しっかりとした味わい。ややスモーキーで樽のニュアンスが自然に出ている。アルコール感も強くボリューム満点だ。かなり美味しい。

Easy to drink

A very nice red blend from Napa Valley. Dry on the palate and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Showing black fruits with cedar, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, chocolate and mocha. Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. Drinking nicely now and will be better in a few years. Needs time to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too. Good by itself or with food. A great sipping wine. Easy to drink but not a lot of flavor. Not worth the price

My initial reaction was bold and acidic. We didn’t let this breathe at all and feel like it will open up a bit as it sits. This was a champions run wine pick and looks like I forgot to rate it when I first tried it then.
