Delicious amarone. Bold, black fruit, prune, fig, baking spices, oak / cedar. Very tasty. Went well with dinner and some dessert. Christmas dinner in Italy.

Just stunning. Supple, sensual, spicy, seductive and yes sultry. Tobacco, dark cherries, milk chocolate, some Xmas spice, pepper. It is just slightly on the sweet side compared with many Amarones. After 90 minutes or so the acidity kicks in out of nowhere, but then tames down soon afterwards. I let it breathe decanted roughly 2 hours. It may need more.

Vintage 2015 We enjoyed this vintage months ago, but this one was way better, less acid and way smoother. Still as youthfull as last time 4.2 +10 years easily. Colour: deep garnet everywhere. On the nose: not as intens as the Hermitage, smoky, hazelnuts, sweet red fruits, stoved strawberry’s, raspberry’s, anice, vanilla. On the palate: balanced well, medium/low tannins, medium integrated acid, sweet red fruits, small hint of alcohol, stoved strawberry. Finish: medium/long, earthy, nice s

Un Amarone che sa il fatto suo. Per la bocca una delizia. Noi abbiamo assaggiato un 2017 che dimostra ancora la sua gioventù. È già pronto ma lasciato invecchiare diventa strepitoso. Proprio buono!

2016. Produttore storico Speri. Residuo zuccherino basso, colore vivo e molto giovane , al naso frutto in secondo piano, primari floreali e speziato: pepe, noce moscata, cannella; affina in tonneau e botti grandi con assemblaggi. Al palato secco, bocca asciutta, tannino quasi allappa, bella struttura, torna più in bocca la ciliegia e marasca, beva piacevole e fresca. Snello. Nuovo modo di fare gli amaroni: meno piacioni e zuccherini, che non appesantiscono troppo la beva nonostante i 15 gradi. 9

Schlicht umwerfend. Aus der kleinen Flasche zum Hauptgang genossen. Elegant, cremig, mit diskreter Säure und feiner Tanninstruktur. Wirkt leicht oxidiert aber immer noch frisch. Gewürze, rote Beeren, Backpflaumen, Liebstöckel und Trüffe. Simply stunning. Enjoyed from the small bottle with the main course. Elegant, creamy, with a discrete acidity and fine tannin structure. Looks slightly oxidized but still fresh. Spices, red berries, prunes, lovage and truffles.

Needs an hour to open. Initially a little dull, but with time opens to give a tonne of ripe, opulent red fruit. Red cherry and blueberries. Hint of liquorice and fresh tobacco. Very nice.

Soft in the first second and then it becomes very spicy and slightly bitter. A very long aftertaste. Heavy tannines and quite thick in the mouth. Not a wine for everybody, but we really liked it. Lavender, leather, cherry, vanilla, some cinnamon and tobacco.

Masi Amerone was really flowery. This one is rather woody and oaky. When we just opened it, I also felt smoky and tabacco taste. It might came from its pronounced bitterness. That bitterness might came from its high alchohol, which is 15%. After an hour, I was able to feel its red currant feature. Smells are quite sour. Bought it for $61.6 including tax at Pasadena total wine and more. Viva America!!!

Vendemmia 2019. Abbiamo provato la prima bottiglia di tre. Un rosso granato acerbo ci lascia presagire che è ancora un giovinetto che può maturare molto. Il profumo è complesso, ci sono sentori di mirto e frutti rossi e si sente molto l'impronta alcolica, ma in bocca emergono note di legno e bacche nere. Un Amarone degno di tal nome.

Vino servido a una temperatura muy fría, como si fuera un Beaujolais Nouveaux asi los vinos pierden mucho de su personalidad. De todas maneras hacia el final de la cena ya pudimos apreciar las caracteristicas basicas del Amarone. Salud amigos

It is blackish and cloudy. Aromas with dried plums, withered flowers, mulberry, botanical, cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg. Volume of tje aromas are high and gorgeous. High alc. A dry wine with a plump and gentle sweetness. Lovely wine. Goes well with gorgonzola and sautéed sheep.

Dark unfiltered purple with jam and blackberries on the nose. Big bodied wonderful astringent tannins, cranberry vanilla coffee berries earth on palate.

Classic amarone. Big bold black fruits, prune, fig, raisin. Some oak and baking spices. Medium + acid, high alcohol (but well balanced so wasn’t obvious). Silky tannins.

Amarone Indeed. Not quite usual in the flavour palette. Bold and medium high acidity. Notes of spices, almond (like amaretto), oak, dried fruit and on the red fruit side but not very strong in cherry. Mild raisin. In total a very nice 🍷with medium-long finish
