Starting to dip into German 1er Cru Pinot Noirs and so far I haven't been disappointed. Started off on rather low temperature with graphite, rubber and sour cherry aromas, but as it came to room temp, intriguing aromas of forest floor and wild strawberry developed. Carries as much acid as a Hippie at a Grateful Dead concert and leaves an impression on your tongue for a solid minute at least. Surely something to cherish.

Licht robijnrood Deze Duitse wijn heeft een fantastische geur: aardbei, framboos, kers, eikenhout, aards, tabak. Complexiteit. Hier wordt je gelukkig van. Mooie lange afdronk met alle smaken die je verwacht bij een goede spätburgunder. Duidelijk aanwezige zuren. De vorige keer dat ik deze fles beoordeelde had de fles overduidelijk een fout. Deze heeft het ruimschoots goed gemaakt. Aanrader!

My god, so much love this style of wine and this is one of the best examples. Truly has it all. Earthy smell, matches/flint, white pepper. Perfect balanced acidity. Thanks Mr Huber!

Made from20-40 year old vines planted on the Bienenberg, Schlossberg and selected from the barrels that not made it into the GG. Clearly more weight than the already incredibly Malterdinger but excelling in finesse. It reminds me of a lean Vosne-Romanee. Light shining Rubin red color. Juniper berries and forest floor in the nose. On the palette very mild with tastes of raspberry, vanilla and flowery notes. Presents itself very elegant with little tannins/ acid and a ‚hidden‘ sweetness that offers great character. One of the best Pinot Noir for a non Pinot lover -;)

ドイツ、バーデン、Huberさんのシャルドネ、ピノブラン。 香りは、まだ若いブルゴーニュ南の方の樽を効かせたシャルドネの雰囲気。搾りたてパイナップルジュースにほのかなセージと火打ち石。樽のヴァニラはまだ浮いているが嫌味では無い。 まだ若いが高レベルでとてもバランスの良い飲み心地。アルコール感が殆ど感じられず、搾りたての新鮮なパイナップルやオレンジを飲んでいる様。樽のカスタードクリームの様なフレーバーがとても上手く馴染んでいる。余韻も長くたっぷり30秒はある。飲むのが勿体ない。 明らかにまだ若いが現時点で素晴らしいワイン。ブルゴーニュの偉大なワインと同じ様に長期熟成が可能と思われる。

Very nice Spätburgunder from Baden with a garnet red colour in the glass and notes of red cherry, redcurrant and raspberry in the medium+ intense nose. Medium body with a good balance between fruit and wood structure, exciting acidity. Medium+ length.

One can hardly believe it is a pinot noir. Tons of fruit, heavy vanilla from the 16 months of oak, barely any spice.

Killer quality! Weighing in at 36€, this Spätburgunder will wow even those of the “Burgundy Cult”. 👃 A vivid array of rose petals and violets with a following of cherries, raspberries and sage. Overall very sensual, perfumed and pure. 👅 Smooth upon entry, dialing into a race between strawberries, raspberries, vanilla and dried herbs while revealing some gentle oak. The finish is long, bone dry and taut. A juicy, cool and overall very Burgundian wine in its approach. Highly recommended.

#SaarRieslingSommer2015 This wine is a blend of all cask that were not excellent enough to be bottled as GG. Deep ruby red colour. In the nose lots of cold smoke and charcoal from barrique barrels which dominated everything at the moment. Also some dark cherries, roast aromas and black olives. On the palate medium bodied with pretty dense texture, still young grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, nice structure ending in a long aromatic finish. Of course it is not in balance yet, but it will!

4.3 excellent Pinot noir in right age. Well developed classic bouquet of raspberry, bruised strawberry, forest floor, raw meat and mushrooms. Medium body, perfect balance, mellow tannins, juicy, flavorful, elegant, sophisticated, comparable to Bourgogne 1er Cru level.

Tried the 2013 vintage and it’s better. Nonetheless, the fresh raspberries, silky tannin, vanilla notes as you drink. Perfume nose.

The wine presents a clean aroma of red and black berries with hints of cherries, subtle smoke, tobacco, nutty tones, and a touch of herbs. Clean, fresh, juicy fruit with pronounced acidity and relatively pronounced but subtle tannins, dried plant and herbal notes, gently smoky and distinctly salty, with a long finish on the palate, fresh, with delicate ethereal notes, a certain depth, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish with pronounced acidity.

The Alte Reben has evolved marvellously over the last few years. Approaching 6 years of age, it has the weight and attitude that you expect from Gevrey Chambertin rather than Baden in Germany. The nose is dark fruit-driven with hints of earth, anise and forest floor. The palate is round yet with a playful acidic feel balancing the dark fruit flavours. It ends effortlessly with a touch of sweetness at the very end. Unfortunately Bernhard is no longer with us but his legacy lives on. Delicious. 8

Great wine to start the holiday! Nice to see this on the menu of a steak restaurant in Stuttgart and also the favorite of the sommelier. Did well with both the steak tartare appetizer and the mains (strip steak and truffle with pasta - yes in that sequence… 👌). Still red fruit dominant, but starts to show some age with rounded earthy flavors and an integrated cedar note. Still robust enough to match the strip steak 🥩. Really lovely and great reminder to drink more Spat from Germany 🇩🇪🍷😋

This one was cool but very young and tannic, but certainly with a promising future Vegetal nose with berries, forrest soil, leather, vanilla and cigar box. In the mouth cranberry juice, high acidity, herbal, bread ink and not very well integrated tanines.

$55. It's probably so so for cost/performance. High acidity initially with raspberry and cherry note. Very clear med body wine. Med+ finish. Add a note - wine gushed out a little when opening it. Judging by its high acidity, I'm think it was going through malolatic conversion inside the bottle through the years.

This is a follow-up on the 2012 that I had three weeks ago. The 2011 also has oak and baking spices on the nose but the palate is less fruity and dominated by earl-grey tea, spices and a hint of tree bark. This gives the wine a more backward and austere feel. It's still very balanced and enjoyable though. Paired with beef stew with mashed potatoes -> perfect match.

ドイツ・バーデンのシュペートブルグンダー(ピノノワール)単一の赤。 透けるルビーレッドに、チェリー、紅茶、腐葉土、鉄、胡椒、ラズベリー、スミレ、薔薇の香り。 丸いアタックから、赤系ベリーの落ち着きのある一方でフレッシュな果実味と溌剌としておりしっかりとした酸の、クラシック寄りではあるが複雑みのあるニュアンスというよりは果実味が主体の、ある意味ドイツピノらしいと言えそうな味わい。伝統的な大樽熟成なのかほのかに熟成感はあるが樽香はほぼ感じず、素直に果実味のみで勝負するシンプルなスタイルと感じる。適度にタンニンのグリップもストラクチャーの輪郭を引き締めており、各要素のバランスは良い。 なかなか美味しい。

2020年に2017年を飲みました。 香りは若干化学的な雰囲気で苦手でしたが味はシャープな酸とすっきりとした味わいのピノノワでした。 2日目には酸がまろやかになり果実味もかなり出てきたので2日目の方が美味しかったです。

2017を2025に。澄んだやや薄いガーネット。開けたてはやや還元的な香り。なめし革、焦げた樽、煙、赤い果実(フランボワーズ、スグリ)。開くまで少し時間がかかる。 口当たりは、中庸でドライ。フランボワーズ、スグリなどの小さい赤い果実味と丸みのある豊富な酸、シルキーなタンニン。余韻はやや長め。美しい酸と、焦げっぽい樽香が特徴の透明感あふれるエレガントなワイン。飲みごろ。

抜栓直後は還元が強い。1時間くらいで少し落ち着くがまだまだ開かない。ラズベリー、ブルーベリー、レッドチェリー、スミレ、ハーブ、甘草の香り。まだまだカチカチだけど旨みも酸もしっかりあってジューシーで美味しい。余韻も長い。素晴らしいコスパだ。 2日目、まだ硬いけど開き出してる。 3日目、開いた感ある。ちょっとぼやけ出した。 4日目、まだまだ美味しい。 5日目、前日もほぼ変わらない。 2.5日目くらいがマイベストと思います。

本格派のピノノワール。少し熟成感があった。

Pale garnet color. Iron, oak, smoke, earthy, ripe red currant flavor. Nose intensity is medium. Dry, high in acidity. Medium tannin. Medium alcohol, 12.5%. Medium body. Finish is medium. すでに結構枯れているが、酸がヴィヴィッドでまだ寝かせてもいいかも。

ドイツのピノ。ベルンハルトフーバーさんが亡くなった年の2014年。 綺麗な酸と透明感のある味わい。9年の熟成で角は取れているように感じる。 イチゴ、ラズベリーの香りと、少しドイツらしい甘さ。腐葉土とキノコの香りはシュペートブルグンダー。 ブルゴーニュだとマルサネくらいの価格だけど、もちょい上のクラスの味わい。ドイツいいな。

ベルンハルトフーバー マルターディンガー シュペートブルグンダー 2014 フレッシュなラズベリーにストロベリー、バラのフローラルに淡くグラッシーが伴う、少し湿った土やキノコのような熟成香、酸もしっかりありエレガント。 ドイツのバーデン産のピノ。熟成感を伴う薄旨系ピノで、樽は強くない。ブラインドならブルゴーニュと予想しそう。

以前グラスで飲んで美味しかったのでボトルで購入。バックビンテージを発見。やや若めの酸味のある赤系果実にドライローズ、熟成によるマッシュルーム、腐葉土などが仄かに。味わいもシャープな酸と果実実、長い余韻。複雑で美味しい。僅かに酸が突出してる印象あり、もう少し熟成できるのかもしれない。バーデンのPNはこんなに明るいものなのか。

自宅にて開栓。 2014ヴィンテージ。 輸入元はヘレンベルガー・ホーフ。 ワインショップにお勧めされて購入したドイツのピノ・ノワール、シュペート・ブルグンダー。 作り手はベルンハルト・フーバーというバーデンの生産者。 ヴィンテージは2014の蔵出しのバックヴィンテージで、この地のピノ・ノワール栽培に心血を注いだ、先代のベルンハルト氏が亡くなった年のものだという。 香りは冷涼な地域のブルゴーニュを彷彿させる。 口に含むとかなり酸味の強い苺、ラズベリーの果実味、穏やかなミント。 しっかりめのタンニンは樽由来というよりは葡萄の皮由来という印象。 2014という少し前のヴィンテージだから少しキノコ床のニュアンスは出ているが、まだまだフレッシュ。 しっかりしたミネラル、土のニュアンスはあまりなく、ブルゴーニュとは熟成のプロセスが違う印象。 シュペートブルグンダーはピノ・ノワールだとはいうが、違う葡萄という印象を持っていたが、ピノ・ノワールを名乗るニュージーランド、オーストラリア、カリフォルニアよりも別の葡萄感が漂う。どちらかといえば、造りでブルゴーニュを目指していないというのが正しいのかもし

Very pleasant Spätburgunder, but hard to exactly define the taste for me. I really need to go on training...;) I'm not familiar with Spätburgunders, so maybe that's it? Nevertheless, very fruity, medium tannins, and nice medium finish. I rate this one a 3.5 star.

Blasses rot im Glas, ziemlich durchsichtig. Eine Nase voller Leder, ganz leicht schokoladig und nach Kräutern. Der Geschmack ohne Tannine dafür mit einer Menge Säure. Nett, aber nicht mein Geschmack.

3013, leider völlig überbewertet, eigentlich ganz schöner Wein, zuviel Barrique, eigenständig, eben kein Borgogne

Bordeaux rode kleur van lichte intensiteit. Smaak met tonen van appel, rode bes. Vrij hoge zuurgraad en stroeve afdronk.
