Beautifully mature and elegant, showing red cherries, wild strawberries, floral notes and gentle earthy spice. Silky, fresh and refined on the palate, with fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. Really classy Burgundy with lovely balance and finesse.

Wie immer traumhaft schön… würzig, rote und dunkle Früchte… der Wein steht nach einem Tag wie eine eine da. Ausgewogen ohne Ende , extrem lang im Abgang und noch mit einem Mörderpotential ausgestattet.

Tasted at Legrand in Paris with M,Stu and Gem. Lots going on. Cherry leather coffee red cherry strawberry red fruit raspberry all present.

Complex, tart blueberry (and some burnt popcorn) nose, complete, weighty Pinot. Great. An investment for sure, but worth it for one night.

Exquisite Pinot! Wild strawberries, fresh cut grass, vanilla, forest floor, cherries and pepper, well-integrated, smooth tannins and a long, warming finish. Lovely!

Great elegant burgundy Pinot Premier Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin a medium garnet color, Aromas of red fruit, flowers, dried roses, flowers of wild roses, fruit of wild roses, wild cherry, raspberry, cranberry, green herbs, leaves, green plants, Wine with great round acidity, elegant tannins and silky texture. Very long finish.

Amazing wine. The nose is stunning: dark red Cherry. Some flowers. Raspberry and plum palate. It is round, silky. The finish is amazingly long. Still too young to reveal its full potential. Definitely a great wine by an amazing wine maker.

The aromas are really quite complex of coffee, earthiness, dried cherry with a bit of meatiness. The body is medium but feels almost like a full bodied wine with a long finish. I enjoyed it and I feel that it should be enjoyed within the next 2 years.

Burgundy new vintage 2017 tasting event held by Justerini & Brooks on 9 Jan. Young ruby color. A good extent of acidity and tannin spreads well into the mouse. Fruity taste is also good. Look forward to its maturity and complexity.

On the nose there are layers of dark fruit, backed up with spicy oak notes. Then, on the medium weight palate there's integrated raspberry and cherry fruits, and nicely rounded tannins. ...and the finish goes on and on. Loved it. Crackin' red Burgundy, Gromit!

Floral, potpourri and some earthiness. Soft tannin with sweet cherries. Acidity just moderate. Finish is long. Still primary but drinking well now for a 13’. If you are holding this I would wanna drink it now. I really unsure if it will improve further.

Absolument bluffant de goûter un vin si classieux sur 2004. Grande finesse sans défaut de structure, à son apogée, c’est un grand vin!

Excelente! Grená com buquê de frutas vermelhas em compota. Encorpado, especialmente por se tratar de um Pinot Noir. Equilibrado e persistente.

Ripe plums and other dark fruits in the nose. Perfectly balanced and a true pleasure to drink!! Definitely at its peak now.

A very stringent and appealing Gevrey-Chambertain. Dark berry nose, excellent palate and lasting finish.

No need to drink this. Just sniff for hours and hours until it evaporates. Drinks well when you get there.

Un grand pinot noir parfaitement équilibré, rien de plus à attendre d'un villages 2010, fin, charnu, grand. Jamais déçu par mortet jusqu'à maintenant, un très beau domaine dès l'entrée de gamme !

J'ai longuement hésité entre 4,5 et 5 mais je m'attendais vraiment à quelque chose d'exceptionnel tant j'ai entendu parler de ce viticulteur qui fait partie des très grands en Bourgogne. Le nez est envoûtant, expressif et laisse transparaître des notes de bois et Fruité, c'est racé. En bouche on est surpris par la puissance et le corps du vin qui sont assez marques mais très équilibré avec une longueur incroyable. En finale le vin se fait élégant et suave sur des notes de cacao. Superbe

Toppunt van de “paulée” in Beaune. Er gebeurt een hoop in je glas! Rood fruit, maar ook duidelijk meer aards dan de Musigny. Stevig en spannend, met kruiden en vulling. 2 slokjes geproefd, dat smaakte naar meer!

Дега Пино нуары со всего мира в слепую. Самое дорогое вино деги, но в слепую не выиграло однако. Хорошее, но возможно молодое и еще не готовое. Много ягод, в том числе клубники в аромате, подлесок. Во вкусе чуть грубоватое, с легкой горчинкой 4.2

Il colore è decisamente vivo in relazione all'età e non si discosta dal rubino fitto. Fragrante, netto, intenso con sentori di frutti rossi, ematici, fortemente speziato, ricordi di muschio e foglie. Vino di gran tempra e notevole caratura. Medio/Pieno corpo. Adesso è un vino decisamente stratificato e profondo, dalla dinamica di gusto continua, incalzante, con freschezza nordica. Non il prototipo dell’eleganza asciutta e talvolta un po' impalpabile. Comunque un'idea precisa del Pinot Nero.

vermelho intenso. frutado e amadeirado no nariz. tem grande complexidade e de final prolongado, próprios de um 1er cru de um grande produtor. vinhão, decantei por 2 horas, mas certamente teria evoluído mais se tivesse esperado dois ou três anos.

Voilà un 1er Cru sans nom qui est dans la cour des grands. Ce vin à maturité nous a enchanté. Robe plutôt foncée et brillante. Nez très expressif de griottes. La bouche est enveloppée par le vin, beaucoup de corps, le jus est tellement élégant et précis avec des tannins d’une rare finesse. Bonheur partagé par tous les convives

Another favourite. Time has done wonders with this wine. Leather and smoke on the nose. Beautifully complex red fruit, cherry with an oak finish.

Strong aroma: strawberry, red cherry, leafy, mushroom, medicinal, earthy, dried rose. Med plus acidity, medium alcohol, silky tannin with long finish. outstanding. Nov 2016

Fabulous nose--loaded with dried roses, red cherries, raspberries, sauvage, and oak spices.  Still in the primary stage, but getting some secondary notes of animale and leather. Bright and dense palate, quite viscous and clingy. Black fruited base with spices and minerals galore. This is most assuredly the most approachable of Mortet's premier cru wines, and on top of that, it is also the most approachable price wise. Great buy.🍷

This might be Denis Mortet’s entry level Gevrey-Chambertin but it’s serious stuff - and this 2010 seems to get better each year! A great example of just how good value village wines can be in great years. Very clean and precise with loads of red berries and cherry, truffle and earthy. At full maturity but I would think we have at least 5 years to drink the rest.

Denis Mortet is of my favourite Burgundy winemakers, quality has never disappointed me. The Burgundy drinking window is often quite narrow, but the 2008 vintage is perfect for drinking now. A complex bouquet of cherries combined with secundary notes of mushrooms, hazelnuts and piquant forrest flowers. Very creamy and mouthfilling on the palate, tannins are well balanced. Really a nice wine on my birthday.

92pts. One of my favorite producers. Cooled down this pinot noir comes along very refreshing. Fresh forest berries. Very fruit driver with a light toasted oak note. Great balance but as it is so young, the wine not yet developed. Great buy!!!

Medium fylde med en saftig frugt, let tannin niveau samt en balanceret syre. Næsen giver animalske toner, skovbund, hindbær og kirsebær.

Ripe cherry and barnyard. The eleven years of bottle age on this is beginning to show some age, but the genius of mortet makes this wine capable of ageing for another decade. This wine is just entering its stride!

Løgismose tasting last Sunday at Børsen - More floral , light red Berry with god acidity with hint of plum .

Smooth and ripe, evoking red and black cherry and oak spice notes. Balanced and juicy, yet with firm, fine-grained tannins underneath, followed by a nice expansive finish.

Slowly improving from glass to glass. Very delicate balanced between fruit and tanin.

Big wine. Good fruit and acidity. Needs another 10’years to soften.

Very young and needs time! The aromas are upfront with funky strawberries, bing cherries with slight oak, marzipan and herbs. The palate is dense, very typical Gevrey; mirroring of the palate but with a focus on darker fruits; black cherries, mulberries towards the finish with lovely tannins and oak. good potential!

Not as good as the last ones I had,was too alcoholic which was surprising. Has coffee and black berry aromas, tastes of raspberry, coffee and some spice

The nose displays strawberries, red cherries, wet leaves & vanilla. Low tannins, medium body with flavours of smoke, mushroom, raspberries and a long finish.

On the nose cherry jam, chocolate and Spanish cedar wood, but palate was not that complex. Fresh berries with hint of toasted almonds. After all, lovely treat...

Fresh and open bouquet with hints of red berries, wood and earthy notes. Great mouthfeel with great texture. Long and persistent finish. Drinks good now.

lack of fruit in some way, but crisp and tasty at the same time. maybe 04 was not good vintage for reds in burgundy.
