i’ve never had douro so i wasn’t sure what to expect, but this was a very good wine. bright and juicy expression. just how fruit forward it was took me by surprise.

Intense blackberry, cassis and cherry on the nose. A little bit of spice. Purplish deep red color. Tannic but fresh and fruity on the palate, lots of ripe dark fruit and blackberry. A little bitter / earthy finish but overall very smooth and fruity

Dark red wine. Intense complex nose with red and black fruit, pepper, mushrooms. Fresh balanced acidity, fine tannins, medium body, fruity, spicy, long finale.

Intensidad aromática media-alta, complejidad aromática: algo de flores, fruta roja, cuero, terroso, roble, especias dulces, herbario y algo de cítricos. En boca tiene taninos secos que dejan algo de aspereza. Persistencia media.

Good, solid earthy, slightly spicy red. A bit too dear at $28 (Whole Foods).

Skitbra. Lätt och fint med tyngd möt vax och mineraler. Bra balans och knäckiga toner. Nötter, pinje, lite honung och bivax. Lätt att gilla bra komplexitet

Douro com cara e jeito de Borgonha. Vinho muito frutado, no olfato um buquê maravilhoso que se espalha pelo ar quando aberta a garrafa, com mistura de frutas vermelhas e escuras. Em boca uma mineralidade incomum para um tinto, notas de amora e bastante framboesa, leve toque de pimenta. Seco, ácido, taninos médios, vinho de médio corpo, mas quase um tinto leve. Cor rubi médio tom, translúcido. Harmonização competente com um filé mignon. Nota: 3.9!

Prachtig Portugeesje. Licht geel van kleur met een elegante geur van citroen, peer, licht eikenhout. In de mond is die vol, sappig en super aangenaam. Medium body met levendige zuren. De afdronk houdt lang aan, maar elegant.

Medium body. Getting lots of earthy tones here to compliment the loaded cherry and slight raspberry. There’s plum too. There’s some leather and pepper.

Last one there, next up is wedding offerings, my only 2 complaints are high prices for pours and bad lighting for appearance evaluation, medium ruby colour, pronounced plum nose with a hint of strawberry, moderate body, moderately low tannins, moderate plus acidity, the palate echoes the nose with tons of plum, moderate length finish with some accenting herbal notes, nice one!

Smells very organic, but tastes racy and refreshing. Good wine.

Dracks igår till pinsa. Stilen går lite åt det kolsyrejästa. Mörk i färgen. Smaken bjuder på körsbär, hallon, cassis, lakrits, lätt kvist, kryddpeppar. Finns en fin och jämn syra. Inte jätte komplext men smakerna sitter. Medelfyllig kropp. Förvånansvärt lång smak. Till en början lite svampig men det försvann efter en stunds dekantering. Den andra flaskan ska få ligga till sig ett slag 🇵🇹

Juicy, fresh, would benefit from some cooling. Cherry and leather forward on the nose, pepper, blackberry.

Diep robijnrode wijn met een kruidige en wat aardse en ook wat minerale neus. Fris zure kersen, pruim, kalk, iets animaals en rokerigs en iets leer. Body medium met med+ zuren en goed geïntegreerde tannines med- en met 12,5% lekker laag in de alcohol. Lekker glas wijn.

Um Douro fora do normal. Pouco extraído, corpo médio, pouco álcool e o couro domina o aroma e sabor completamente

Not bad, a bit too strong on the acetic spectrum. Good mouthfeel, fruity, with integrated tannins but a bitter aftertaste.

2020 vintage. Aromas of mainly red fruits, strawberries and cherries. Also herbs, oak and sun dried tomatoes. Dry with high acidity and medium body. Spicy and very sour on the palate. Firm tannins and long aftertaste.

Klostergatan 5. Ordentligt syrlig utan att vara sträv. Fyllig. Passade jättebra till ost och chark. Bättre så än standin alone.

Vilken vacker färg! Men smaken, som först var röda bär och sten tappar lite längs vägen och blir mer lingon än körsbär. Kul mellanfas med modellera dock.
