About the Producer
In Norse mythology, Iðunn is a goddess associated with apples and youth. Iðunn is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, she is described as the wife of the skaldic god Bragi, and in the Prose Edda, also as a keeper of apples and granter of eternal youthfulness.

Beautiful pinot!
Deliciously jammy and light red wine
Superb wine. Very northern Rhone in style, medium bodied, dry, fine tannins. Dark fruits, perfectly balanced. Elegant and sophisticated, this is a lovely drop.
Not my favourite varietal but excellent quality and extremely smooth
Getting back into Syrah and this was a treat. Super elegant and poised.
Not my favourite varietal but excellent quality and extremely smooth
Lichtrood, rood fruit (vooral aardbei) en de geur van een zomerse pinot noir, beetje richting spatburgunder. Mooie harmonie. Licht gekoeld drinken.
Ingetogen PN, aardbei met een zweem van rook.
Saturday night ribeye required a Syrah! Loved this, has that Elgin freshness and purity Pretty floral nose with violet and rose petal Black cherry, blackcurrant, brambles Smoky bacon, smoked charcuterie, black olives White pepper Fine tannins, and so so fresh
What an elegant sip! Ripe blackberry , black cherry, depth of spices, whiff of crushed rose petal and leather. Intoxicatingly intense aromas. On the palate, so much going on! Layers of flavour, good length. This French style Syrah from 🇿🇦 hit the spot for me. Rob liked it, too. 😄 In our Sept 2024 wine locker. 👍🍷
Dark red with some purple hue. On the nose, black cherry jam with some bush herbs towards the back. Black fruit jam on the palate with some leather, a bit of cedar and good tannins. A super bold red that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with beef, game or cheese. A very pleasant wine that can be forgotten in the cellar for several more years.
Really softened out on the 2nd day, this wine is all summer fruits, hint of spice, little bit of tannin. Really light in colour, good length. There is a little complexity to this it's easy drinking and at 12.5%, good for a daytime drop.
Quality Elgin Pinot, justifying the Viv average for me. 30% whole bunch, aged in oak (30% new) for 11 months. Quite delicate in texture, but with power in the flavours, there's plenty of cherry, cranberry & raspberry, with hints of bramble bush & other savoury coming through. Could maybe do with a couple of years more, for the tertiary to develop to my tastes & the acid to ease down slightly, however it's delivering well at this age.
Plush and polished expression of Elgin Syrah. A bit too much “making” obscures the terroir of the varietal and region a tad.
Great treat from my BB - really good
A very pleasant wine, gentle en bouche and great with meat

Excellent, really nice from Elgin Valley. Delicate but with some body, plenty of raspberry, strawberry, red currant, red cherry and some earthy notes
Fantastic wine wonderful to Share with friends before a meal
Excellent Syrah!
Intense blueberry and dark plum, olive and mushroom. Surprisingly tame tannins, moderate + acidity. Lingering savoury finish. Was excellent with beef steak
First of a couple of Grenaches this weekend, really enjoyed this one. Cranberry juice in appearance. Cherry, smoky nose. Palate showing red cherries, strawberries & smoke. There's a hint of bubblegum every now & then, nicely balanced by a hint of spice & a good tannic bite.
Bright raspberry, cleansing acidity.
Lighter style Grenache (from Bot River), aged for 11 months in barrel, 30% new. Think I would have preferred no new oak 40% whole bunch, which gives a lovely floral (violet) nose Macerated strawberry, red cherry, raspberry Smoky with gravelly minerality Saline Dusty and earthy Cinnamon cream on the fresh finish Think it needs another couple of years
Light. Raspberries and good summer wine
Fruity, light colour, fresh
Good red fruit nose and palate. Light and fresh.
