Verhalten in der Nase, langer Hefekontakt. Schöne Säure mit gelbfleischigem Fruchtaroma. Nicht aufdringlich aber eindrucksvoll. Mittlerer Abgang
The grenache gave the wine a very aromatic nose. Plums , chocolate a little leather. Light on vanilla which is good. Pleasant. Delicious.
Notes of ripe stone fruits, citrus, and subtle toasty notes. It has a creamy texture, balanced by bright acidity and a long finish with minerals.
Hextable tasting 20/05/2022 - South Africa Tour Wine 3/8 Nose of vanilla, stone, butter cream, citrus, pear, peach skin Subtlety smooth with a small lees effect. Not very fruit forward at all. Yeast coming from the skins only, no addition. Aged in concrete.
Another great wine from Springfield in South Africa. Nose has honey, pear, exotic fruit. Aromas are bit almost a sense of sweetness. Flavour is complex & fresh with pear, yellow apple, sour mango, kumquat, bees wax, honey, flower nectar and minerals. Quite wierd and funky but very good. Splendid wine
Chardonnay 🇿🇦 Buy Again? ✅ 💰€25 - RN Wines Robertson. Plenty of character from this weighty south African white. Yeast probably influencing body more than flavour yet marzipan and biscuit is underlying. Still plenty of mouth watering citrus fruit with pear on the palette. Overall, great character, reliable producer & a well made chardonnay. Thanks Rainbow Nation Wines 👍 🍷 Pale Gold 👃Med pear, citrus, biscuit 👅 Medium watermelon lemon marzipan yeast 💪 Dry, 13%, med acidity, med+ body
An exceptional, rich and silky textured wine for a hot summers day. Fruity but not fruit forward. Ripe stone fruit and tropical fruits abound. Must. Have. More.
Yeast, and toast on the nose. At first butter, cream, and vanilla. Fruity notes of pear, gooseberries, and citrus. Crisp, and fresh, yet rounded. Quite the magical wine.
a wine with a unique, enjoyable difference . the yeast comes through from the nose ro the finish and lingers on. does overpower the cultivar but nevertheless a lovely experience
A supple and expressive chard, surprisingly complex without no oak treatment. Pear, apricot, galia melon, terpenes, a bit of positive funkiness. Complex, intense, long finish
Head to head with the Springfield Methode Ancienne Chardonnay, this was the yeastier of the two on the nose, but the lighter more citrusy in the mouth. This unwooded wine benefits from the lighter cleaner taste but still amazes with the array of tropical flavours. Top
Cool wine Wild yeast fermentation that they let go its course in underground concrete tanks. Fermentation can sometimes take 9 months to complete. A lot of vintages they just throw away as no intervention sometimes means it stops before the wine is good.
