This Rhone blend comes from 135 year old vines that produce a very small amount of wine. For this vintage only 2000 bottles. The sommelier for our hotel specially selected this wine for our dinner and we were amazed by the complexity of tannins fruit and earth this wine displayed. It's a shame they only made 2000 bottles!

Lovely earthy smell. A really rich, complex, and classy wine. Quite high in alcohol - 14.5% - which can be a little oppressively strong on the nose. Let it open a bit first in a decanter and it just becomes lovely. Very fruity cherry flavours lengthen out into chocolate with silky long tannins that last for ages in the mouth. A 5 star wine.

Grande 2015 bevuto nel 2020 di questa maison che regala sempre dei piccoli grandi vini per tutte le tasche. Aoc Lirac, stramaggioritario il grenache unito a granache grigio,clairette,carignan, syrah per questa cuvee ricchissima di frutta rossa succosa, di speziatura profumata,dalla bocca potente e gourmand. Un cote du rhone d autore a prezzi straragionevoli

Sauf erreur de ma part, et contrairement aux dires de Vivino, ce millésime 2015 est 100% 🍇 Grenache. Une cuvée faite « uniquement les plus belles années ». Vendanges manuelles. 2000 bouteilles produites. Un vin puissant, comme on peut s’y attendre, mais tellement bien en place! C’est fondu, les quelques années lui ont fait un bien fou: c’est très fondu et reste frais et primaire. Arômes de fruits rouges, sanguin, chocolat. ⌛️ jusqu’en 2028! 📍 La Gourmandise, Rochefort.

Top ! Belle matière et longueur en bouche.

Lirac from 140 year old Grenache with some small portion of Syrah, Clairette and a few other in minute portion. Cherry, dark plum, some garrigue and a touch of smoke which made me think there's more Syrah but this Grenache is wild. A good touch of wood with vanilla and tobacco ,black olive and alcoholic hot finish. Good finishing acidity too. Some floral notes come through too. This is a serious, hefty Lirac that will satisfy the serious Rhone lover.

Full of raisins and quite some tannins.

+0.25 Vin agréable avec un nez sur le pruneau. La matière est bien là, l alcool (15.5 quand même) passe bien, le fruit n est pas écrasé. C est un bon vin qui accompagnera parfaitement un coq au vin. Il manque un peu de complexité pour avoir une meilleure note.

@ maison avec salade de pâtes-thon, Mai 2017. Nez bien fruité, bouche un peu sèche et astringente à l'ouverture mais après une petite heure en carafe, un vin très agréable s'est ouvert. Petite pointe de réglisse, cassis et mûre, pour une finition assez longue.

Dark purple in color. Nose of graphite, bramble jam, vanilla, raisins, black cherry, and tobacco opening up to spicy and earthy notes . This is a big wine at 15.5%. Big, velvety tannins and medium+ acidity. This is big and fruitier than many French wines. Could benefit from cellaring. Flavors of plum, creme de cassis, blackberry, black licorice, cocoa, and a chalky minerality to finish. Rating: 88-90

Licorice nose with cherry and nice finish

Gorgeous wine, earthy and cherry in there. A subtle touch of smoke. 2017 bottle opened in 2021. Should have waited a couple years more tho.

Dark fruit flavours, easy drinking, needs to breathe a little.
