Lewis Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

Just amazing! One word for it... finesse I am very amazed on the balance, complexity and structure of this wine. On the nose is fine oak, leather, hints of pepper, curiously thinking of strong tannin wine. On the palate, some great lush plum blackberry jam notes followed by rich balanced oak. Layers of chocolate tobacco cassis with a tad of cream. Fun and inviting to swirl and explore the layers followed with a sophisticated oak dark fruit aftertaste finish. For $94 this is a winner.

Absolutely glorious! Crisp, rich sweet nose, very fruity, you can smell those grapes perfectly. The first taste is soft and sweet on the tip of the tongue, and then it finishes gently. Light on the tannins, it doesn't coat the mouth to much but it has such a pleasant flavor. Had mine with a rack of lamb (sesame crust with with cheese at Modavie in Montreal) and it went great. Held up shockingly well to such a strong flavor combo.

Perfect texture, elegant, silky smooth

Palette is cedar, oak, cherry, blackberry, vanilla, nutmeg, Clove, and black pepper. Strong flavors. Long finish. Velvet structure with balanced yet firm integrated tannins. Perhaps the perfect California cabernet.

Superb! Fantastic nose with blackberry, oak and leather. Well balanced, long finish. Give it an hour to open and it will reward you even more.

Dry, full bodied, well balanced. I drank a 15 yo bottle, and the age was just about perfect. Not overpowering, very flavorful. Still had some tannic dryness but no bitterness.

This is flat-out marvelous. Text book Caberner Sauvignon from Napa. Fruity, oaky and complex. Blackberries, currant and chocolate. Full body and incredibly smooth. Hold or Drink.

2019. Drank June 2023. Magnificent nose right out of the bottle. Fruit forward and complex. Opened up nicely with a decant but tannins could use a bit of time of the side. Great bottle that I’d lay down for a couple years.

Bin sehr überrascht von diesem Wein. Das erste Glas war gar nichts, aber dieser wurde immer wie besser. Sehr gehaltvoll und eine gute Dichte. Am Gaumen schön würzig und nachhaltig.
