Wine by Osborne to celebrate Sherry festival in El Puerto de Santa Maria. Very dry, nutty and uncomplicated. My guess is it's made for session drinking!
A little less individual than the Coquinero, from the same producer. Ages an avg of 4,5 years, as opposed to 6,5. A light Fino from the textbook at bargain price.
Great fino! Super dry, tasted on site at Osborne. Works beautifully with tapas. Great balance, tadte of flora is very mild. My favorite of the tasted sherries.
Correct basic Fino. The name goes to old method of producing Sherry (with 5 rows of barrels in Solera-Criadera system) but unfortunately it was abandoned (and some of the barrels even were given away to Gonzalez Byass group). 100% Palomino from El Puerto de Santa Maria (Cadiz, Andalucía) matured for 4,5 years. Chemical greenish colour. Aroma of sea salt, camomile, mushroom, citrus cough syrup, benzol and hazelnut. Taste of saline, almond, Calamata olives and grapefruit pith. High acidity, medium
Solid basic Fino, this time from El Puerto. More on the purer fruit side in my opinion. Nose of dried flowers, hay, nutty, green apple, apple, lemon, salt green apple, salted green apple, apple, citrus, salt, saline Med body, med to med+ acidity, med finish
Pungent, racy and fresh bouquet, flavors of almonds and green apple. On the palate it is very dry, with a salty background.
A typical dry sherry nose from the Flor, dry with a nutty and briny finish.
Pale yellow colored. Nutty and flowerish nose with smell from the Flor. Quite high acidity but with the nutty/Flor taste from Fino. Long nutty finish 🇪🇸
Fine nunaces of wood barrels with evolving aromas It atarts with almond nutty oak yeast saline then.it goes into refreshing green apple caramel apple citrus butter lemon lemon orange with further evolving brioche vanilla chalk stone honey cheese straw pear orange peel hazelnut mushroom Uou can also find minerals bitter almond salt grass stone fruit toast marzipan and what I most liked it cedar
Amandel, gist, citroen, appel, mineralen, honing, boter, karamel, noten, kruiden, floraal. Med+ zuren, med intensiteit, med+ afdronk. Fris en krachtig, smakelijk aperitief. Proeverij Bodega Osborne
Drinking in el Puerto de Santa Maria. Slight hint of fruit (apples?). I like. Goes With the cathedral square vibe
Strogeel tot goudgeel, mooie neus, rokerig, aards, pompelmoes, perzik, olijven, vanille, grany smith, boter, honing, citroen, steenfruit, amandelen, geoxideerde appels, broodkorst, metalig,in mond een vettige aanzet, zachte zuren, mooie struktuur, licht bittertje, middellange afdronk, lekkere pittige fino.
Citrus nose. Very strong flavours. Olive stone earth slightly oaky and a bit of apple. Goes well with jamon. By itself it’s really not nice
🔦 pale lemonn 👃 pronounced intensity with aromas of lemon peel, bruised apple 🍏, almond, yeast, fully developed ✨ 👅 dry, medium acidity, low alcohol, medium- body, pronounced flavor intensity, medium+ finish 🧾 good quality 🕑 drink now, not suitable for further aging /7 6 7 6/
My first dry Sherry. almond green apple

It's been too long since my last fino and how I've missed it. Aromas of green olives, brine, lemon rind, almonds and petrol. Textured, lime citrus, petrolic, briny, high acidity and a sharp, biting minerality on the finish. Great for the long summer evenings in Sydney.
Richer and farther from dry than I expected. Strong saline notes with a little almond and slight green apple on the pallette.
A little caramel and oak on the nose. Some orange and melon flavors. Mild finish with enough acidity to balance the richness.
Excellent QPR. Bright and fresh, fully alive, dry with crisp acidity. Lemon and lemon peel, fresh almond and a hint of cashew. Salt and ocean breeze.
Light golden colours. Chamomile, diesel and green apple. Very fresh and dry. Aftetaste with herbal and black olive notes with hint of pink grapefruit
Aromas of almond, raisin, dried fruit. Palate: dried fruit, floral, orange zest, raisin, almond. Long lasting finish! Solid QPR! 3.5 Rating! Nice after dinner sipper! Cheers 🥂 from AZ 🌵
Appearance clear, pale lemon color. On the nose clean, medium intense aromas. Citrus fruits, green apple, stone fruit, orange peal, nutty, almond, yeast, caramel, butter, oak, saline. On the palate: sweet, medium+ acidity, medium- bodied wine. In flavour: lemon, green apple, stone fruit, orange, walnut, bitter almond, yeast, caramel, butter, oak, saline. Medium finish with crisp acidity, ripe citrus fruits and green fruity, yeasty aftertaste, oaky nutty notes at the end. Good quality, typical Fi
Interesting nose with olive paste and olive oil, egg, levander and oak. Light bodied, medium to high acidity and intense bitterness, slightly watery feeling. In mouth green olives, oak and tree bark. Quite enjoyable fino!
I can see how dry sherry is not for everyone. Tasting this next to a Manzanilla, I like this one much better. It is light, saline, and has a touch of almond. It wins over the Manzanilla because it is more acidic, which helps with its in-your-face style
Seawater, camomile and chalk. Bit boozy but smooth and very fresh. All you would expect from a fino, with a hint of sweeter white wine that I only get when it warms up in the glass. I just realized I had drunk it before, which means I liked it but I wouldn't consider it a special treat.
Beautiful pairing with tender sous-vide artichoke platter by Chef Carolina Sanchez (Ikaro restaurant). Pale yellow with greenish highlights. Gently saline. Good sherry tipicity with sharp, savoury aromas of flor and notes of almond. Dry, savoury, low acidity, high alcohol. Slightly bitter. Should work pretty well as aperitif. Cheers
3.7/5. Pours a very clear, light yellow. Scent is medium mild. Salty bite. Citrus. Medium intense. Taste is very sharp, dry, oak, mild saltyness. Lovely fino, perhaps not the most intense, but surely an easy drinker.
I recently listened to a podcast on sherry and decided try it with Spanish tapas 🇪🇸. Light gold in color with scents of almond, bread and herbs. Taste was very dry with almond, sweet brioche and light herbs. The extreme dryness cut through the fat in the tapas. Probably not the best sherry but made in the solera method and a good first tasting experience.
Medium tawny-colored fortified wine. In the nose sweet aromas of dried apricot, honey, almonds with oaky, toasty and floral notes. Medium intensity. On the palate medium-sweet with medium+ acidity, high alcohol and medium+body. Medium+ intense flavors of dried apricot, dried orange peel, almond; hints of oak, toast, yeast, clove, vanilla, tonka bean. Medium+ finish. Good quality. Pair it with a strong Spanish cheese. Enjoyable!
Nice very dry Sherry Fino a pale lemon color, with warm background. Medium intense aromas of unripe citrus, lemon zest, grapefruit peel, quince, nuts, salted almonds, rye bread, salty mineral notes. Wine fresh, dry, with lithe body. Long finish.
Palomino, 4 years of aging, straw yellow with olive pints, expressions of almonds and sea breeze, on the mouth it is soft on the palate, dry, with a fine bitterness that refreshes at temperatures between 8 and 12°C. Good start to the weekend f
Sharry Fino, 15% alc. Biological aging (under flor). Bone dry, cristal clear. Light gold. Nutty, yeast, apple, flowers. Dry, hot, persistent medium balance. Oak apple, slat and almond. A wine that can age for a lot time.
🔠 🗨 Saturday part one with this fine sherry Fino Quinta from one of the three cities in the sherry triangle. There's Jerez, San Lucar de Barrameda from where the famous Manzanilla is from & El Puerto de Santa Maria from where this sherry originates. It's made from 100% Palomino & is more commonly known as Fino del Puerto. Floral, applely, citrus nose with a flor note along with a rich nutiness. Light dry fruity palate that feels slightly glyceric. Yeasty with a good dose of salinity this is
Very light, easy style of fino, with some great delicate floral notes. Mixed in with some juicy apple, butter, white nuts, fresh white bread. It's extremely well balanced, slips down very softly, with a buttery finish. Super elegant
Limpio, brillante, transparente, densidad aparente media, intensidad aromática media, nariz limpia a avellanas y nueces, ataque ligero, seco, buena acidez, sabor a tostados, avellanas. Cuerpo ligero.
Very dry but not too sharp Floral, camomile and grass. Medium sour, clay, yeast, mineral and little salt.
Pungent, racy and fresh bouquet, flavors of almonds and green apple. On the palate it is very dry, with a salty background.
Light straw yellow colour, aromas of pear, lime, dry, crispy, touch of bitterness, smooth tannins.
Nice dry, nutty and oaky fino for every ocasion!
Classic sherry flavor. Almond, vanilla, grass, Jerez flor. A bit watery but silky and fresh. Good!
Almonds, nuts, toasted, citric hints. Fresh but low acidity. Bitter finish
Gold color fresh fruity dry sherry.
Nice and tasty classic fino sherry
Love fino in the summer.
Almonds, grain, yeast
Strong and nutty with a touch of bitterness. Mineral and a bit grassy.
My first Almond notes 🙂
Good taste, like light sherry
Nice Jerez oak and sweet in nose not that much in mouth.
Very, very good. Found it better and dryer Than TIO PEPE !
Strohgelb. Trockener, max. mittellanger Abgang. Did it to bring a new whisky to life...3.5*.
Huge mass produced fino to save you on the day when all bodegas are closed… walnut, touch of fresh fig, not too much complexity here. Some pleasantly rounded nutty and saline notes on the palate, touch of olive brine on the finish, quite smooth and forgettable. Good with green olives and anchovies.
Very dry sherry, Osborne, tasted like oak and chalk, grassy butter notes. Very special 😀
Not the best mass produced Fino around. Decent, saline, nutty, bitter, acidic, refreshing. Nice on a sunny afternoon. Viva Jerez!
