Castello Pomino Pomino Vin Santo

This wine is pure pleasure. Its really sweet, but pleasantly, so you can easily drink a whole bottle on your own. Dry apricot with hints of almond.

Apricot, almond, toasted caramel. Smooth and warm on the finish with a hint of cinnamon and clove at the end. Perfect pairing with my Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.

Lovely! Nutty peach, honey with a thick viscosity. Nice long finish that reminds me of the sweet syrup from a can of peaches from days gone by. Do they even still sell cans of peaches? Very nice wine

Lots of walnut and nuttiness, peach and dark toffee. Delicious with biscotti!

Hadn’t tried a Vin Santo from this vineyard. Pretty good. Flavours of caramel and honey. Was a nice dessert post meal to indulge in.

Really enjoyed this at Castel Giocondo. Honey, caramel, nut. Paired amazingly with a chocolate and vanilla cheesecake.

Nice decent dessert wine from Italy 🇮🇹 Brown yellow colored inside the glass. Nose of roasted almonds and tobacco 👃 Apricot and caramel inside the mouth 👄 Medium bodied and medium balanced with a nice creamy glaze at the palatine.

Gorgeous dessert wine. My phone battery died so original notes got lost. I remember it had 14.5% ABV, very pleasant, moderately sweet, sirupy dessert wine. It went well with tiramisu.

Gyllene i färgen, bärnsten. Doft av russin och torkad aprikos. Tät, intensiv och oljig i smaken. Karamell. Hög sötma.

[2 april 2015] Vin santo är helt nytt för mig, så när det finns på vinlistan på restaurangen måste det såklart provas. En tydlig oxiderad ton tillsammans med toner av mandel och något sötblommigt. Känns nästan mer som en likör än ett dessertvin.

Ottimo con i cantucci, come sempre
