About the Producer
Mossel Bay is a harbour town of about 170,000 people on the Garden Route of South Africa. It is an important tourism and farming region of the Western Cape Province. Mossel Bay lies 400 kilometres east of the country's seat of parliament, Cape Town, and 400 km west of Gqeberha, the largest city in the Eastern Cape. The older parts of the town occupy the north-facing side of the Cape St Blaize Peninsula, whilst the newer suburbs straddle the Peninsula and have spread eastwards along the sandy shore of the Bay.

Amazing desert wine. Light, very sweet but a natural sweet. High viscosity
Lemon rind and honeysuckle, solid dessert wine but not my favorite. Cool to have a SA wine. Pretty tropical, however.
Jam packed with taste of honey and marmalade, with an aftertaste of honeysuckle. Full bodied, smooth, well-rounded. Great value for taste at $169 from Leeder Quay in Mui Wo!

The best !! Good Hanepoort juice with just the right “kick”. Nose not to strong, on palate the right dry sweetness and then fruit salad aftertaste - had it with a Thai chicken spicy dish !
When it's winter and you waiting for summer and longing for a bunch of hanepoot grapes (with cheeks turning a light brown), then the next best thing is a glass of this. Great stuff! You taste the fruit. Almost creamy. Alcohol is not too much. Serve slightly chilled.
Unfortunately they were running out of their good dessert wine, instead the waiter offered me this one (for a ridiculous price of 90 €-cent!) which checked all the boxes of a dessert wine like dried apricot, honey, pineapple, melon, candied orange mixed up with lemon zest and honeysuckle. Low acids and very sweet without the expected depth and length - so nothing special, but ok 👍
Honey, pineapple
Coppery in color. Intense nose of honey and melon. Very sweet with low acidity.
Having mentioned on numerous occasions Peggy & I are similar to Jack Sprat & his wife. While Peggy likes sweet wines I prefer more savory types. This wine is definately more Peggy's kinda wine As recommended we had this Hanepoot well chilled, we sensed aromas of honeysuckle & tropical fruits. On sipping it we found Sweet fruity, honey & spicy flavors. A long lasting tangy honey/musky aftertaste was left in our mouths. The spicy notes were pleasant enough, but the sweetness was just too much fo
A South African Muscat desert wine. Right yellow. Aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle and spice. Very sweet and a little minerality . Not my style and not aligned with rest of reviews on this one.
