This was lovely. Pale, interesting, dry, balanced. A little strawberry balanced by good acidity. Bone dry. Would be a great apero in the sun but went well with high end Chinese food.

Как по мне, то слегка не дотягивает до GSM фр.Роны. Тот же бленд, плюс темпранильо дает немного вспыльчивый аромат. Нехватает тела, а так все хорошо.

ストロベリー、ラズベリー系の赤い果実、オーク、バニラ、黒胡椒、シナモン、ミントの香りと味わい。 まるで、赤い果実のジャムの様な果実味の深さと、控えめな渋味の、素晴らしく美味しいワインです。まるで、上質のローヌワインです！んまい！ (*´ω`*)

マミで購入。 深いルビーレッド。果実の香り、樽くさい。スッキリとしてるが、濃い。色んなの混ざってるの飲みたいと要望でこれをセレクト。 また、飲んでも良い。

Nicely balanced wine, I liked it a lot, but will need to pick up another bottle to complete the tasting notes :) What a bargain at R62 a bottle (Checkers, Brooklyn mall).

So smooth. From Vino Simpatico: Western Cape, South Africa $16.95. Red berry, plum and baking spice on the nose. Youthful, rich palate with generous berry and spice integrated with oak. Balanced and smooth, with firm tannins on a long, fresh finish.

Great blend. Shiraz with Grenache and Mourdevre. Dark berry notes. Very good.

An elegant rosé, definitely on par with some better quality French rosé, however QPR for the local South African market is completely over priced. From memory this cost me around 500R when in Cape Town in 2018, roughly $50 AUD. I would expect to pay that for top knotch Vin de Provence and possibly some Bandol rosé. Very nice though if you're prepared to pay for it. [edit]: just realised I reviewed this when I tasted it at the winery. At least I'm consistent!

Best South African rosé I have tried thus far, with the caveat that I haven’t tasted many. Some strawberry on the nose. Crisp, fresh and good acidity, with a nice finish. [catch up; no detailed notes]

I liked this a lot. Dry, refined, something herbal in there, as well as gentle red fruit flavour.

A lovely blend that winks to Rioja, with a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. The blend has lovely spiced notes alongside red fruit and dark fruit. Specifically, cherry, plum and then after a middling finish, some vanilla.

Lovely wine for all occasions. Good body and finish

Tasted this at the Fairview winery with their fresh goat cheese with pepper and it was fantastic!! This food pairing is a must try pair! Delicious together

Last time had GdR was four years ago. Before that probably 25 years. Still pretty darn good. Yes it is rich, rounded and fruity but there is some level of complexity hiding in the background.

2023, дегустация в 2025. В цвете рубин с лиловыми оттенками. В аромате сладкие свежие и чуть подброженые ягоды вишни с лёгкой приятной горелой ноткой. Чувствуется перец. Во вкусе сочная кислотность, лёгкая сладинка, довольно лёгкое тело с мягким танином. Замена вальполичелле.

An old favorite! Paarl Rhone blend based heavily on Shiraz. Fruit driven and very accessible, it has detail and layers that make it more than a popular quaffer with a sense-of-humour branding.plum and some e white pepper spice and judicious oaking. Not to be overlooked

Dark berries upfront, a little smoky, fairly complex and rich body. Tannins are balanced and acidity is good. Heavier than a French CDR, but not too far off.

I’m a fan of South African wines. This was the only red at a beer house I had lunch at. Not the best place to try a wine, but it was smooth, dry and enjoyable.

Tastes like a very average red. Fairly plain, not complex. Medium body. Cherry, oak, earthy, pepper.

Lots of juicy dark, red fruits. Medium body, medium tannins and somewhat smokey. Nicely balanced. Very enjoyable around the bonfire. Would pair well with BBQ.

So refreshing to have a rosé that isn't dull and blandly fruity. This has a good meaty streak and an extra leesy layer. Well worth trying

南アフリカの赤 葡萄品種 シラーズ73%、 ムールヴェードル12% グルナッシュ11%、 サンソー4% 香りはフルーツ感じるスパイス。 飲むと黒系果実味かな？と思ったのですが少しだけ渋みのある程よい酸味の赤い果実味も感じます。 それから柔らかさのあるスパイシー味もあり。 干した、熟成した等、色んな美味しい部分をバランスよく感じる様なワインでした。 数年前、別ヴィンテージを友人から頂いた際、南アフリカでローヌワインをイメージして作られたワインで、商標登録時に本場フランス　ローヌから怒られた。と聞来ました。 今でも売られていると言う事は、和解したのかな〜

2017. 1hr decant. Big earth tones, burnt toasted oak, used coffee grounds with some skunkiness. Acidity comes off as sour and not a mouth watering kind. Tannins are lower than acidity so comes off unbalanced. Very earthy . Has a bit of complexity that will evolve over the next hour. So far 77 points, ok but there is better for a few $ more.
