Absolutely impossible bouquet. Distinct smell of herbs, kind of melissa or hissop. A nicely explosive finish.

Probably the most floral wine I’ve had. This was absolutely lovely and the most distinct wine of the tasting. If I thought Chapel Down’s Bacchus was great, this was better. elderflower lavender peach citrus

Incredible hedgrow flavours....has this at the tasting at Hush Heath....bought some for the cellar. Better than Chapel Down Baccus IMHO

Usually a Sauvignon blanc kinda person. This is fantastic! Very pale, almost water like pouring, lots of fruity aromas, crisp flavour. Well received!

Excellent English wine. Nutty on the nose with notes of citrus and some light elderflower. Pleasantly surprised!

Pale yellow. Immediately pops out as a Sauvignon blanc. Same taste characteristics with elderflower, tomato leaf and cat’s piss.

A very interesting white wine full of character. Pink grapefruit and grass on the nose. Citrus, apple and sea water on the palate. Unusual and interesting.

Following the Winbirri Bacchus this was a little softer but still very enjoyable. A lighter nose by far but with similar citrus elderflower notes. P: med dry, med Similar elderflower & grapefruit citrus notes. Another good example of a still white English wine . 3.9⭐️ Beechwood hotel North Walsham.

4.1 Tasted October 8 2021. (named after their family dog Liberty!) Color: pale pale straw, one of the clearest whites I've seen. Aroma: Explosive grapefruit at first. As it warmed up a bit in the glass some tropical fruit and elderflower shone through the citrus veil. Had this at an "English wine" tasting and this particular wine split the room. Half loved it, half were ..meh. Aromas  notedvaried a lot between different people. On the palate more citrus, some undefined spices. Well balanced

英国ケントのバッカス2020、百貨店の大規模催事で税抜き約3.9kを欠けるくらい、冷涼な未経験の地域かつ品種という好奇心だけで手にした1本です。 スクリューキャップ、Alc11.5%、僅かにプラチナが入った日本酒のような透明感ある白、桃、青リンゴ、ライム、キウイ、酸味は少なめで若干の後口に甘味が来ますが、スッキリと切れてベタつかない感じが暑い季節には好ましいです。酸味しっかりが好みと普段はコメントしていますが、微炭酸でもないこんな作りがあるのかと感心してます。 食事は3日間の中でいただきものの桃、スパイシーなチキンの揚げ物惣菜、夏らしいコーン入りコロッケ惣菜、タコの天ぷら惣菜、生野菜ざく切りに肉味噌添え、冷奴とか合わせましたが準備も簡単に全てに体力は温存。のんびり3日目かけましたがほとんど落ちないで最終日まで来ました。 20230728-0730 世界を旅する的な

Grapefruit pouring out over the rim. Fresh, but not pronounced acidity. Dampened by the oak. Would pair well with Asian oriental foods.

100% bacchus. Aromatic nose of ripe stone fruit, peach, melon, passion fruit, mango ... and some grass and buxus notes. Crisp & tart acidity on the palate, confirming the exotic aromas. Consistent, balanced and elegant.

Notes from an English still wine tasting in the club, hostes by yours truly! Starting with a Bacchus flight. This was nice and I like it better than the Bolney Bacchus. Nice nose. Floral and stony. On the palate it is very different than the Bolney, which reminded me of Sauvignon Blanc. This reminda me more of riesling. More serious, stony, nice concentration, with razor sharp acidity. Nice grip. I like it!

The flavour notes come bursting out with pear, tropical and stone fruit - yet it doesn’t come off as too sweet. It worked well with a meal, but I’d like to try this again on its own on a warm summer evening.

Had this at Morston Hall, Norfolk. We last went here pre-Covid and we noted that they didn’t have any English wine on the menu. It’s a rare English restaurant that doesn’t have any native wine on their list these days. And…surprise surprise they had 3 sparkling by the glass, 8 by the bottle, 3 still whites & 3 rosés by the bottle. This, was an uncompromising Bacchus (for a ‘22), bone dry but with a lovely fragrant elderflower nose & pure flavours of grapefruit, passion fruit & blackcurrant leaf.

Another great experience 100% Bacchus Strong and beautiful bouquet with green apples + grapefruit + kumquats + light mineral + lemon + some herbs + white flowers Palate is crispy, fresh, midi bodied, structured, midi(+) acidity, great balance, lovely & citric long finish. ¥5.2k at wsommelier in Tokyo

Pale straw colour with hints of elderflower, kiwi, lime, peach and banana. Well balanced with light body and high acidity and good sweet-acidic balance.

Soft and fine but nothing too exciting at Blue Boat Fulham.

Trying another English Bacchus and not disappointed. Fresh dry with a slightly sharp edge I sense elderflower, gooseberry and melon well balanced. English white wine is definitely on the up.

100% Bacchus, only 5% aged in oak. Refreshing make, citrusy with flowers and some herbs (thyme?) Med(-) bodied, dry, stony, very lively with racy acidity, slight rounded, peaches, lime, salt. Med+ lasting finish, rather spicy with white pepper.

Lovely typical Bacchus, nose is showing lots of green grass notes, some stinging nettle, and elderflower, palate is lots of pear, gooseberry, a little softer riper than the nose makes you think it will be, medium finish and body overall, simple but quality Bacchus

Informal mixed bag wine tasting event in Oslo. Not enough time for detailed tasting notes. Very decent.

イギリスのドイツ系品種バッカスを使ったワイン。ミュルートゥルガーもかけあわせで入っているらしいです。 ブラインドで頂き、はじめの印象はNZのソーヴィニヨンブラン。フレッシュな果実の香りとマスカットの香りが強いです。味は果実味と酸がしっかり。 しかし、どこかSBと違う。後味や酸味が違います。暫くして、麝香臭が加わり、やはり、SBかな、と思いましたが、どこか少し違う。酸が強過ぎる。ゲヴェルツにしては、後味に苦味がまったくない。少し甘味も感じます。 今のイギリスは100年前のシャンパーニュ地方のような気候と聞いて、こんなに濃厚な果実味のスティルワインができるようになったのか、と驚きました。 香りに反して味は分かりやすく食事に合い易いです。美味しく頂きました。 @le petit marche

あまり飲んだことのないイギリスのワイン。 香りはバニラのような甘い香りもあり、ふくよかさを思わせたが、実際飲むとスッキリしている。 ただ、安っぽいスッキリではない感じ。

100% Bacchus. Very pale lemon colour. Aromatic, green, grass and gooseberry on the nose but develops into full on elderflower cordial on the palate with a hint of apricot.

Tried this by the glass at the Falcon Inn in the Cotswolds and it was lacking body, length and concentrated flavours. M- acidity. Probably too cold. Very pale lemon colour. Elderflower white peach grapefruit citrus grass hay. Easy to drink. Not my taste.

Fun nose with gooseberry, hey, green. Almost milky taste. Fresh acidity. Leaves a very nice taste

Fresh, vibrant. Lacking length and bold flavour so not a personal favourite but still v drinkable.

elderflower and tropical flavours but not for me

華やかな香りを持つバッカス種を100％使用して造られました。 ブドウはすべて手摘みで小さな容器に入れながら収穫し、醸造所へ運び込まれるとすぐに、ブドウ全房をプレスして果汁を取ります。 タンクを7つに分け、それぞれ別の酵母（一部野生酵母を使用）を使い発酵を進めます。 ステンレスタンクで一定の低い温度（14～17℃）で発酵されるものと、オーク樽（フレンチオーク、アメリカンオーク両方）で発酵されるものがあります。最終的に、7つのタンクのワインを、バランスを取りつつブレンドします。うち、樽熟成のベースワインは15％程度です。複数のバッカスをブレンドすることで複雑さや重みが加わります。 との事ですが、樽香は全く感じられず、爽やかで軽やかな果実味主体。 酸が強くやや表面的で奥行きに欠ける味わい。 今回は天ぷらの油をすっきり流す目的でチョイスしましたが、グレープフルーツを使ったサラダやカルパッチョなどに合いそうです。 柑橘類 ライム レモン ミネラル グレープフルーツ

I was positively surprised with this, my first, British white wine. It doesn't have the greatest body but is absolutely worth to try. When served it was a bit chilly with most taste hidden, but after picking up some of the room temperature it developed positively.

første gang drikker vin på Bacchus druen ( 100 pr) Lys gulgrønn. På nese hyldeblomst ,sitron. I munn syrlig drops, grapefrugt ( bittertoner) , fin syre og sødme . Gress. Minner om Sauvignon Blanc, altså ikke min greie Men helt ok britisk hvit, for de som liker dette præget på vin 86 p.

Lukter ikke spesielt godt, litt kokt skinke/ fjert. Smaker veldig lite, føles litt som å drikke vann. Har kanskje et hint av syre (eple), smaker veldig lett sitrus. Ingen spesiell ettersmak heller. Meget god bælmefaktor.

Elderflower, orange blossom, jasmine. Way too overpowering floral for me.
