Just perfect. Expensive, but worth it. Mellow and spicy at the same time, ripe reds, with some tobacco to it. Very sweet tannins.

What an amazing wine & the most expensive one I have ever tasted. Thanks to being part of a group with the winning bid at a charity event! Beautiful ruby w/a burnt orange hue. 100% Grenache with medium dry, medium tannins & medium acidity. On the nose there is a mild barnyard aroma that opens up to cherry, raspberry, watermelon, mint, licorice, lavender, rose petal, leather and tobacco smoke. A gréât wine, leather Wood, red fruit tobacco strawberry- atypical for a Châteauneuf because only one grape used. Tannins are still present and can further mellow - this wine can be kept another 10 years with ease.

It's so tasty. This wine was a true highlight. Cranberry, red cherry and dried currants came together with spice, leather, tobacco and some dried meat. It's still retained a luscious character, the tannins were silky and much more subtle. It was graceful, but still had some body. Just so so so good. Smyth pairing of the night!

4.7 Date night with my wife and we found a great wine list at Moderne Barne in Armonk. Got to enjoy this 2006 Rayas Pignan for a great price, <$200. A great, unique nose of strawberries, watermelon mint and pepper. Beautiful long finish where the pepper shines through. So light, elegant and drinkable without food. In a blind tasting, I would of guessed a grand cru burgundy.

A gorgeous sculpted nose is led by ripe strawberries accented with balsamic. Huge 3D elegance on the palate, poise and length, understatement yet very confident- reminded me of an old Canon - everything in the right place effortlessly.

Don't have much to say about this wine apart from the fact that it was truly amazing. The aromas of berries nd cherry is amazing. On the palate is so complex but so balanced, with aromas of redfruits, liquorice on the end, smokiness. Overall amazing!

4.75, great bottle, brilliant red color, nose with leather, in the mouth great feeling of strawberry jam. Good length. The adjective “Sexy” was even mentioned by one of us to whom it was a first time... Opened 12 hours before and then in the decanter. Another jewel from E.Reynaud! A year to remember.

I was very lucky to find this wine at a restaurant for 155€. Took a while to open up but every sip was better and better. An explosion of red and dark fruits, strawberry, cassis, smoke on the nose. In the mouth, the tannins were well integrated, it was red fruit, dark fruit, pepper, licorice, balsamic. Lasted so long. Amazing wine. It's what every grenache I've had has tried to be.

2012 WOW un vin incroyable. Une ouverture prolongé est nécessaire pour lui permettre de développer l’ensemble de son bouquet (2 jours cette fois-ci). Mais quelle claque, le nez est fabuleux et explosif ! Du fruit comme s’il en pleuvait (fraise, fruit rouge, framboise, pruneau, confiture) les yeux fermés j’aurais pu confondre avec un vin blanc avec des notes sucrées tel qu’un condrieu par exemple (je me suis fait taper sur les doigts en le disant mais je vous le promet) ! Un des plus beau vins

A perfect Grenache from CdR. Gentle on the nose. Slightly ripe red/ black fruits raspberry, blackcurrant, mushrooms, truffle bay leaf, leather, gibier. Extremely smooth attack with a red fruit concentration on silky tannins. In the midpalate appear hint of leather & earthiness . 4.85, Shocked. The first wine I've ever rated above 4.8 simply astonishing. An incredibly layered profile like strawberry, cherry, garrigue, savory herbs, mint, cedar, clove, tobacco, tar, blackberry, pepper, licorice, smoke, mushroom, game, leather, forest floor, and more. The finish is long and unforgettable. I was always skeptical of Rayas and its fame, but this bottle was truly groundbreaking, a Grenache masterpiece, even beyond most good producers. An experience of lifetime.

Reynaud vs. Comando G evening with friends. Served blind just after Rayas of the same vintage, it managed to just top the latter: surprise! Garrigue, red cherry, strawberry, mint, cooked red plum. Deep, complex, heady, superb nose. Rich but fresh, thanks to a citrussy acid balancing the brown sugar, garrigue, sunny fruit, to a long and herbal finish. So fine, so unique for a CdP, too. Fabulous! 4.8+ 15% abv.

Always a good time and Pignan delivered again. Orange peel / grand marnier Rayas tell with clove and pepper. Some funk blew off after 20-30 min, then full force after that.

Definitely my WOTN, deep Ruby with garnet tinges, dry with a medium+ body great tannins and balanced acidty. Nose leads with leather cherry plum earthy tobacco, notes of mint forest floor black cherry jam clove thyme red fruit eucalyptus, great length to the palate with a big burst of black pepper. 🍷2011: more advanced and lacks all those pretty primary notes of Rayas but more interesting in many ways with leather, bergamot, negroni, burnt orange peel and prune. The palate continues with smoked meats and stewed red fruit. Tertiary starting to show with tobacco, leather and raisin. Fresh and vibrant but does feel a little hot at 15.5%. Silky soft tannin that are barely noticeable 🤩Maintains the Rayas style and showcases complexity of flavours, pedigree and class. Drinks wonderfully now

Pale garnet - almost orange Explosive nose strawberry leather pepper cherry raspberry tobacco earthy mushroom mint jam On the palate it has a med+ body, lovely texture, med tannins and med+ acid. Long finish. The layers and complexity of this wine makes it a treat worth having once in a while, and will surely satisfy.

Reynaud discovery tasting at Ahmed’s. 2010s side by side. Simple notes. A lovely perfumed nose. The most charming of the flight. On the palate a big structure with high tannins but very pleasant still. Drinking well but can if course age further.

試飲会にて有料試飲。 2011ヴィンテージ。 南ローヌを代表するラヤスのピニャン。 グルナッシュでこんなワインが作れるって衝撃で、唯一無二のラヤス味だと思う。 ブラインドで飲んだらラヤスじゃなければ熟成ブルゴーニュだと答えると思う。 。

あつい年なものの冷涼な印象も。 干しレーズン、ドライイチジク。 廃カビっぽいかおりがするものの、太陽を浴びた果実のパワーにはかない液質、口内に入れた瞬間にひろがる冷ややかでシリアスなニュアンス。 素晴らしい。

At first a little tight in terms of tannin acid structure considering the age but the complexity and finesse really build. The acidity makes it so easy to go back for another sip and another layer on the finish from red fruit to leather to licorice and smoke. A more delicate balanced style compared to the big round CdPs. Surprising how much it grew on me.

Nez singulier et envoûtant, sur la rose, rose séchée et le petits fruits rouges. La bouche est nette, tertiaire, note de vieux bois. C'est précis et très plaisant.

Light clear red. Liquorice and garrique. Red fruits. Very complex and interesting. Syrah character coking through with light touch. Very pretty and elegant.

Wow! What else can I say? An excellent wine! Delicious! Very soft tannins (almost none), lighter body, coming across like a slightly rich Pinot from Burgundy.

Leather, tobacco nose. Finessed notes, a beautiful wine, so well balanced and expressive. Long in the mouth with lasting notes of red fruit and acidic berries. Very much recommend!!

A beautiful & scrumptious little bottle. Drank in Montpellier with Arnaud for his birthday. Very light in colour but deep in flavor. Highly recommend if you can find a bottle!

Pignan pale blood rim, translucent ruby red. Beautiful perfumed nose- red berries confit (strawberry/cherry/raspberry), garrique, savoury smoky gravel. Medium bodied, bracing acidity, savoury, earthy, clean aged leather. 14.0% alc. WOTN on sheer beauty for a fragile elegant wine.

Not sure what happened to the picture, nevertheless a superb pignan vintage 2005. Still in it’s primary drinking window but getting to a point where the tannins are integrated and everything just adds to equation. On the nose quite insisting, dark and opulent. On the palate structured, insisting with ample notes of liquorice, earth, viol, Provence herbs. After a while and with air a leans towards a crisp burgundy from chambolle, fragrant and velvet. Simply a marvelous wine, and a superb Grenache

@King corronation day in Thailand. Dull, muted color at its peak. 100% Grenache. Strawberry jam, cherry, fig, black pepper, , exotic spices, tabacco. Round, earthy, superb tannin. Mild acidity. Excellent balance, beauty of complexity. Affluent sediment.

This was one of my absolute favourites in the tasting, and I was not the only one. My kind of wine! Nice and inviting funky fresh nose. Smells like "natural wine"! Earthy, spicy, leather. On the palate there is a lot more going on. Smoky, earthy, great fresh fruit concentration, meaty, savoury, herbal, tapinade. Great acidity and balance. Very elegant and someone said "Burgundian". I agree! A very nice wine indeed.

light colouring. Clean with some fruit on the nose, very pinot. Lots of age. Palate matches the nose, feels like an aged burgundy, thinking 20 years. Little heat, all points to burgundy. Drunk blind, stunned to find this isn’t pinot. Lovely wine. Rayas is just spectacular. I need more in my life. Even less good years are just excellent

Topissime, un chouya trop alcooleux

かなり好みの味。 この産地ならではの良さが詰まっていた。 飲む1時間前くらいに抜栓して大正解。 セカンドでこの味は素晴らしい。 また飲みたい。

甘い、紹興酒のような甘さと熟した果実、紅茶の香りも。 酸味・旨味が丁度良く溶け込んで、綺麗で明るくでもしっかりした骨格のある感じ。 これは美味い。
