美味しすぎました。 草木の香り、粘度は低め？でさらっとしてました。 これならワイン初めての人でも美味しく感じると思いました。フォリーシラーよりかなり飲みやすいと思います。

ミンククジラ 囀、畝、畝ベーコンをつまみにいただきました。 オイリーな囀一緒に飲んでも負けない、しっかりした風味。 程よい渋みと酸味で、つまみを選ばず美味しくいただけます。 セラーで数年寝かせれば、さらに美味しくなるのでしょうが、我慢しきれず抜栓してしまいます。

エノテカのトレジャーハンティング(ワインくじ)で当たったワイン。 これまでのチリワインのイメージを払拭するにはじゅうぶんな１本！ ナパバレーとフランスを足して２で割ったような味わい。 開けたては香りも味も複雑でガーリックのような匂いも感じるが、少し開いてくると、上記のような味わいに変化してくる。 全体的にスパイシーさが目立つ。 中心にスパイシーさがあって、周りをブドウの甘みが覆っている印象。 2杯くらいで止めるつもりが、気付いたら全部飲み干してしまっていたという。 これはまた飲みたい！！

2019 - Easily one of the best wines I have ever tried. It’s rich, fruity, refined and fresh. Lovely herbal notes of mint, green pepper, coriander. Plenty of black fruits in the form of blueberries, blackberries, black cherry. It’s everything you look for in a red. Outstanding.

On the nose rose petals,vanilla and cherry jubilee.Clean smell after a rain in the desert.Big tannins. Deep,long blueberry,plum and blackcherry flavors. Give it air.Terrific Chilean Carmenere.Dry.I enjoyed it at 59F and warmer.Salude!

オーク ブラックベリー バニラ

カルメネールが描く新境地。他のワインとは比較せずに飲むと愉しめる。 何倍にも濃縮されたような果実味と、一緒に煮詰めたかのような濃いハーブのニュアンス。少しずつ口に含みながら、鼻腔を抜ける香りを堪能する。妖艶さを感じる。 デキャンタすると、濃い顔立ちながら端正な表情で魅了する。

Great Chile wine. Will admit, have not been a fan of Chile wines but this changes my impression. Full body, little spice and peppery, and smooth.

Got at a restaurant in Saint Thomas only 20 dollars o er retail so felt like I won the lottery, and it did not let me down. Lush deep chocolate, smooth oak and easy sipper. Very enjoyable.

2018 vintage, strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, vanilla, slight herbal mint and cigar box complex nose, stunning mid with all those notes, moderate tannins and acidity, dry cacao, tobacco and slight mint finish, so smooth, complex and delicious, enjoyed on Father’s Day with my Dad

Wonderful! My first Carmenere wine. Wonderfully soft and complex. Big black fruit, oak and baking spice at the end. If you like big California Cab or Merlot, then give this a try. It won’t disappoint.

うまい！ しかし、コレをうまいと思うにはそれなりにチリのワインを飲みこむ必要があるかも。 モンテスは上のキュベになるほどチリのテロワールが色濃く表現されている感じがあるが、パープルエンジェルはそれが顕著。 下手にエレガントにするのではなく、モンテスはこれでいいと思える仕上がり。

あー、さすがモンテスのカルメネール。美味しい。なんとも綺麗な濃いルビー色。豊潤濃厚な紫果実の香りに、シナモンヴァニラ、甘いチョコ、ほんのりスパイス感。柔らか滑らかな口当たり。絶妙にバランスがとれた酸味と果実味。液体と完全に調和したシルキーなタンニン。余韻長い。おいしい。

グラスにて。 見た目は濃く鮮やかなレッドパープル。 香りは青々としたハーバルさと、土や灰、コーヒー、タバコといったアーシーな顔つきが大人びた印象を与える。フルーティさは控えめだが、VTの都合もあり熟成香が強いわけでもなく凛とした高潔さ。 味わいは濃密な果実味に、香り同様のアーシーなフレーバーが融合する。甘みのキレは非常に速く、終盤に残るタンニンのドライさとわずかな酸味でキュッとした綺麗な後味。

エノテカ。一度は飲んでみたかったモンテス、パープルエンジェル。ヴィンテージは2021。カルメネール92%、プティ・ヴェルド8%。エッジにもきれいに色の入った、あまり透けない、紫色がかったディープルビー。しっかり重さもありつつとてもスムース。果実の凝縮。徐々にタンニンが解けてチョコレートっぽさが出てくる。ブラックベリー、バニラ。とても良い。アルコール14.5%。美味く、飲みやすくアルコール度数が高く、飲み過ぎ危険なワイン。

Yutard's Point :92 Comment :濃く美しい。距離のある湿原。両サイドにガチっとタンニンが存在しており、味が引き締まる。非常に美味しい。

2030なのに既に美味しい。熟成したらどれだけ美味しくなるんだろうか。

モンテスのカベルネソーヴィニオンは比較的よく飲み、中でもビンテージセレクションはお気に入りですが、後のパープルエンジェルは初めて飲みました。 その名の通り深い紫色、極めて滑らかな口当たり、複雑な味わいが渾然一体となって、素晴らしい1本だと思います。 値段は少々張りますが、リピートしたくなりました。

Vintage 2020 ~ Another fantastic Carmenère. young wine but delicious to drink it now~ I decanted for 3 hours and definitely worth to cellar.

Opaque purple and inky. Bright, ripened cherries abound. Espresso, cedar, and cardamom. Beautifully balanced with perfect acidity and minerality.

Bell pepper on the nose. Blackberry currant and chocolate. Excellent wine. Would love to try this with a nice juicy filet mingion

I love this wine. Second try now. It’s got body it’s smooth like velvet. Hints of bramble blackberries with leather also. Brilliant wine with a wonderful long finish 🤙🍷

This was great with wide ranging flavours from the finger food menu - cheese to spicy chicken dumplings. Ink colored, great nose through to the finish. Worth repeating!

2017 4.45pt wines like these give chile a reputation. The flowery nose you don't expect from a full-body wine. A polished, tight, and vibrant wine that blew our minds.

This is a fantastic wine, so beautifully made in perfect balance of fruit, acidity and tannins. Blackberry perfumed with licorice and yeasty, nutty nuances make this beautiful drinking.

Second time, now a 6 yrs. old bottle and, again, this is a wonderful wine. Strong red bell pepper character, mint, spices on the finish, with soft tannins, and a good acidity backbone.

Very good wine, not too far fetched on the juicy front. Very up front vanilla and eucalyptus but smooth and balanced considering the profile. Lingering finish. Perhaps over priced though

Really excellent wine. Had been meaning to try this for a while. Very smooth... drinking 2016 vintage but tastes like it should be older. Will be ordering more whenever on sale

Second tasting of this wine. Liked it much better this time. Lots of intense deep blackberry fruit. Went great with our left over rib of beef reimagined as chipotle beef tacos

The complexity of this is something very special with dark berries, hot stone, iodine, and oyster shells. Full-bodied, very tight and polished with creamy tannins that envelop your palate, caressing every inch. Deep and dark fruit and wet earth at the finish.

What a Carmenere blend with petit verdot! Right balance and easy to drink with medium acidity and tannin body structure. Fruity, flora and plum just explode when first opened. Hint of spices and wet forest floor as well. Pull and pour, paired with black pepper smoked cheese and Parmesan. Enjoyable session with friend. 4.6/5

Complex flavors, very punchy and lots of bramble and spices. Not used to drinking sich heavy wines but interesting every once in a while.

Super earthy nose, French oak odors of vanilla, a little moss. Very smooth, medium full body. Black cherry, a little tobacco. The tannins definitely builds through the glass, adding dryness as you go. Amazing.

Beautiful deep burgundy color. On nose, vainilla, red berries, earthy, leather, berries and almonds. At taste, berries, raspberry, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, oil, butter and wood. Bold, balanced aftertaste, with intense tannins. This is an amazing wine

Tasting this in restaurant of Viña Montes in chile. Notes: slight earthy, green pepper. Elegant, with outstanding aromas of ripe red and black berries on a background of sweet spices. French oak provides aromas of dark chocolate and mocha that go very well with the typical fruity aromas of the variety. Soft and wide tannin, beautiful wine.

LT: Another red with a beautifully dark.colpur I guess my reviews are starting to show bias as I clearly like full bodied wines, but I try and remain objective...Nose is full of oak and leather and the dark fruit flavours that come through are fantastic plum blackberry blackcurrant blueberry . YUM

2018 Purple Angel. Pleasantly surprised! Colour befits it’s name. Pleasing floral bouquet opened up after about 45min. Smoother than what might have been suggested by its colour & alcohol content. Uniquely great on the palate. Complex lasting finish. Joy multiplied manifolds when it was shared with people who appreciated carmenere.

Big, floral, fruity wine. Summer pudding in liquid form, with hyacinths and without the bread... On the nose cherry, raspberry, black pepper, and lots of purple flowers (violets and hyacinth). On the palate ripe blackberry, cherry, blackcurrant and a hint of plum. Scented floral notes of hyacinth, spicey hoisin and black pepper. Big and delicious!

On the nose: dark, vibrant fresh fruits, dark dry fruit plum, blackcurrant, medium strong intensity On the palate: Bone dry coating mouth with ash, tannic, black plum black cherry leather . Very spicy, medium-long lasting finish. NOT as smooth as hoped within first 15mins of opening because of concentrated tannin. blackberry chocolate tobacco pepper cherry prune After pairing with food (Swedish meatballs .. delicious! Great spice , round mouthful.. loved it)

【2020パープル・エンジェル/モンテス】 カルメネール92%/プティ・ヴェルド8% 見た目はエキゾチックな紫色。黒系果実とスパイスの香り。 タンニンは完全に溶け込んでおり、シルキーで滑らかな舌触り。 ダイナミックな果実味をエレガントな仕上げており、コスパ最強と思わせてくれます。“さすがモンテス“と拍手を送りたくなるようなワインでした。

アルファＭ，フォーリーはそれぞれ過去に２回ずつ飲んでるが、何故かご縁がなかったパープルエンジェル。ようやく飲むことができて嬉しい。 黒色系果実に木や土っぽい香り。チリのお手軽価格帯だと、果実味強くジューシーなものが多くなるイメージあるが明らかに異なる複雑さで価格の違いが如実に出ているなと感じさせられる。 ただシンプルに果実味強くジューシーなのも好きなんだけどね。

ガーネット色。カシス及びプラム、スパイス、黒鉛、アーシーな香り。開栓後一時間程で開く。甘く芳醇な果実味。酸味は控えめ。タンニンは重厚だが口当たりは滑らか。バランスの良い味わいで美味だった。

年末年始で開けた。さすがの一本。

The 2021 vintage is beautiful… I opened this last week on my birthday- also the day before the anniversary of my dad’s passing. A fitting tribute… A glass staining dark purple 92 % carmenère with 8 % PV. Rich concentrated aromas of ripe dark fruit, sweet herbs, vanilla, oak & spices. パープルみのあるガーネット ブラックベリーのジャムのような黒い果実、なめし革、ちょっと石灰っぽい匂いも感じる 果実みたっぷりで、甘味主体だけど、タンニンはしっかりめ、酸味、渋みは抑えめ。円、球のような丸みを帯びたイメージを感じる。ところどころ歪な感じはあるが、総じてかなりうまい。すこ。

カルメネールに少しのプティヴェルドをブレンドした、モンテスのアイコンワイン。2021ヴィンテージ。 まずもって、瓶が大きくて重い。これは何か意味があるのかな？グラスに注ぐと、本当にものすごく濃い紫色で、スパイス香や果実の香りがたちのぼる。 味わいは中々特殊で、これまで飲んだどれでも形容できず、これがチリのカルメネールですか、こ感服させられる。メルローに近いとは聞くが、酸味や渋みの穏やかさはそうなれど、黒系果実味だけでなく、スパイス感や、コーヒーのような風味も感じられ複雑。ひょっとしてスパイシーさはプティヴェルドから来るものか？ちょっとしかブレンドされないのに、色味といいアロマといい、かなり効いてる感じか。ボルドー系のメルローブレンドとは全く似ていない、独特な存在かも。（言うて、そんなに知らないが） エスクードロホのカルメネールも美味しかったが、こちらはまたジャンルが違う美味しさかな。 オバマ元大統領がチリを訪れた際の公式晩餐会で提供されたワイン、と言うのもチリを代表している感があり印象深い。

紫のエッジ、コーヒー、カカオ。青い香り少ない。 柔らかい。美味しいテンプラとの差がわからない。

濃い紫。 アルコールで香りがよく広がる。タンニンは結構長い余韻を残して、全て去った後で舌がざらっと感じる。果実の香りが最後に続く。 確かにクラシックよりはいいけれど、6000円くらいなら、もっと自分の口に合うニューワールドの赤が見つかるはず、と思ってしまう。と言いながらレート4.0。 自分が首相なら（どんな仮定よ？）このワインは晩餐会では出さず、別なやつを出す。

チリ　サンティアゴ Bocanárizにて お久しぶりモンテス。 カルメネール！ほぼ　92% プティベルト少し 旦那さんは7杯の中で1番と。 産地: コルチャグア渓谷 チリのカルメネール栽培に最適な土地で、ワイナリーが特に力を入れている地域。Purple Angel は「カルメネールの真髄」とも言われ、リッチでスパイシーな味わい、滑らかなタンニン、黒系果実やチョコレートのような熟成感が特徴。香りを嗅いだ瞬間、カルメール！となった。コーヒー牛乳のような甘さのあるコーヒーの香り。プティ・ヴェルドも相まって、熟度高く強い！濃厚！タンニン強い！味は樽感なし。フレンチオークらしい。カルメネールの独特のスモーキーさがある。煙い！を多用

総評：香りも飲み口もパワフル。果実感も強く楽しめる。香りの強い料理、ステーキやトマトと飲みたい。 個人レート：3.9 色：鮮やかで少し薄めのガーネット 足：多い アロマ：ブラックベリー、煮詰めたジャム、赤い花、インク アタック/タンニン/余韻：つよい、力強いが少し荒いタンニンと酸味、余韻は長くインク香を感じる

前回のレディーMと並んでモンテスを代表するワイン(パープルエンジェル) その冠する名の通り,紫混じりのガーネット色。プラム,ブルーベリー,ブラックベリー,ヴァニラ,クローブ,ペッパー,クレープのクリスプ,葉巻,ダークチョコレート。 レディーエムはボルドーよりで無難すぎてたに対し,こちらはカルメネール主体だけあってチリアンっぽいテロワールを堪能できる。また,廉価なカルメネールとは一線を画すエレガンスは言うまでもない。 チリを飲むならある程度高価なものに限る。値段以上の感動がそこにはある。

2018 パープル・エンジェル / モンテス 見通せない程の深いパープルルビーの外観 黒系果実、スパイス、バニラ。濃厚で魅惑的な香り 滑らかな口当たり。濃厚、凝縮されている、甘味がある果実味。シルキーなタンニン。程よい酸。非常にバランスがいい。果実感のある余韻がしっかりと続く 抜栓直後より楽しめますが、抜栓して半日程置いた方が味わいのバランスが整い、より美味しく飲めました。少し温度は高めの16〜18度くらいがこの豊かな果実味を堪能できました。 10年前に銀座のモンテス運営レストランで思い切ってオーダーした、恐らく初めての高級ワインです（僕の中では１万円がボーダー）。味わいとコストパフォーマンスの高さに魅了されました。ワインって美味しいなぁと素直に思いました。 南イタリアのプリミティーヴォ的なリッチさとバランスの良さが満足度を高めてくれますが、こちらの方が洗練されている印象があります。とても美味しいです。熟成させてみたいと思いますが、今飲んで美味しいため、飲んでしまいます。

I felt this wine is the Chile wine. The complex of the flavors and taste are really beautiful however the soil and leaves flavor is a bit strong. This is not the best wine but many friends must be enjoyed this bottle. これぞチリワインの高位と思える美味しいワイン。湿った葉、木のような森林浴(秋)を感じるしっとりとした哀愁があるワイン。カルメメール感が強く、これぞと思える。同僚がBeautifulなワインと評していたのが分かる。

これが一番良く知っているカルメネールの味わいがしました。すみれ、黒すぐり、ブラックベリー、湿った葉、クローブ、ナツメグ、木。かなり、紫がかっていて、酒質が綺麗です。 Japanese only, sorry.
