Good wine, good people, beautiful vineyard. This was the 2020 San Luigi vigna la Costa.

Top dolcetto! Served by the host at a recent BYOB dinner. I last had this 2012 five and a half years ago, liked it then and really like it now! This has aged really well. Very nice stuff and serious wine! Really good concentration and texture and still full of life, dark and spicy, with that juicy ripe and charming dolcetto fruit with depth and structure. Maybe I should age some dolcetto aswell?

Extremely low Vivino score for idk why. Blueberry, milk chocolate, light tabacco, licorice, firm tannins descent grip. Good medium plus finish. Rose bush. This is a great wine at $30

Muy rico!. En nariz fruta negra como ciruela, cereza, En boca es fresco, elegante, ligero... Con unos taninos bien estructurados, finos y bien equilibrados.

Nose is almonds and burnt orange. Woody, piney, nutty and buttery - real aniseed and cardamon kick at a level sweeter than most of Italy’s wine. I really like this style. 91/100

Elegant and refined dolcetto. It’s everything you love about Italian wine. Expresses great sense of place earthy rustic and floral cheery notes. Wt nice amaro phenolic bitterness aka tannins well integrated. Textbook. Delicious. Infinitely drinkable.

Dolcetto intenso, forte, deciso, molto strutturato, quasi “legnoso”.

One of the most generous Dolcetto I’ve ever tasted with dark colour, lovely perfume, dark cherry and wood notes. Palate is balanced, fine, and long.

Excellent balance and depth for the price, midpalate weight is very good. Very serious Dolcetto. Dark fruits with a bit of a hot finish but not overly so.

Full bodied, smooth tannins. blackberries and blackcurrants. Fresh tartness. A bit smokey. Oak. Very well balanced. Elegant. Needs to breath 20 minutes before serving.

Deep purple color. Fresh dark fruit aromas. Plums, blackberries, black cherries, bergamot flavors. Medium juicy body, good acidity, little to no tannins. No bitterness in the finish. 14%abv. 100% Dolcetto. Enjoyed with pork ragù.

Dry and astringent but quite good. I believe this is my first time drinking dolcetto grape juice. Lol. It's not bad. Fruity and fresh. Velvety, low alcohol, dark fruits, plums, cherries. It's good. Day 2. There is an after flavor I am loving. Has lovely wine dregs 🍷🍷🍷🍷

100% Dolcetto. Intense ruby to purple in color. Bold dark fruit such as blackberries and plum. Almond and violet. Dry, med + alcohol, med + body, tight grippy tannins, and med acid. Good finish.

Rosso rubino. Profumato,frutti rossi maturi e spezie, è un vino complesso. Secco e caldo,abbastanza tannico,riempie la bocca. Ha un buon equilibrio ed è abbastanza persistente. Eccellente.

Very approachable dolcetto. Slight spice, smooth. One of the better ones I have tried. Not as sweet as some.

Cépage Dolcetto en appellation Dogliani, zone San Luigi . Toujours aussi bon, il a bien accompagné notre saucisse grillée avec de la ratatouille (c'est la saison 😀)

A Dolcetto drinking very well for only 4 years. A rich ruby colour, but no nose, too cold 🥶 Medium bodied with softening tannins. Notes 📝 of raspberry, cherry 🍒 plum and earth 🌎

A quite pleasant Dogliani. Deep dark red color. Nose of ripe dark berries. Steel aging keeps the freshness to a very enjoyable level. Medium tannins. This would suit any veal dish or pizza.

Very nice varietal here. Balanced with cherry, earth and spices.

Not bad for a mid week quarter. Deep blue (almost black), dark fruits, graphite, touch of oak. Tasty.. Tannins were softer than what I expected.

Easy table wine, very dry (for those who like that) and pairs well with a lot of dishes. Tastes like cherry blackberry earthy red plum

Definitely got the cherry others mention. Does lack a little complexity, but nice wine with pasta. New for me, not familiar with the dolcetto varietal, or much of the northern Italian wines.

A rather fruity take on dolcetto. More blackberry and bramble, but notes of black tea leaves, dry forest floor, and after decanting, oregano and savory. A bit too light on the body for me, prefer a heftier dolcetto.

Astringent and hard. Needs bottle time or several hours to breathe. Not sure there is enough fruit to come around. 87/100.

Light fruit. Blackberry, blueberry. Some earth/mud notes aswell. Not much structure in terms of tannins and finish. 3,6-3,7.

Oak-based Dolcetto that isn't fruity to go with home-cooked tomato-based spaghetti with meatballs rubbed in chopped parsley, capsicum, African Rub and Ghost chili. General wine that gets better after 60min or so of air on the bottle. Nothing fancy.

Linear , approachable dolcetto. Notes of red fruits , good freshness, some smokiness in the finish.

A little harsh and it takes a very long time for some dark fruit flavors to come thru

I think I like it? At first I was not into it, but once i let myself sink into it, I was more open to what it offered. Still a strange taste I can’t quite place my finger on. Others mention herbs… maybe that’s it?

Nice italian red wine! Incredible, it needs to get open at least 2 hours before ... never saw that.. Deep dark color but quiet transparent on the edge, black fruit tastes with some peper. To buy a bottle: yes.
