Despite the 2021 vintage, this wine shows great character and strength. We drink it very young, but it continues to be. relatively mature and showing its strength.

Medium bodied but excellent nose of blackberry, cassis, milk chocolate, vanilla. Soft tannins and good acidity. Great to pair with pork or Chinese sweet and sour.

The nose is soft blackberry, roasted beef crust, Walnut, pepper, blueberry, ripe black cherry. The flavor is blueberry, tannin, soft blackberry, salt, graphite, gravel, ripe dark cherry, toasted beef crust, dried cherry, Opaque purple color. Full body and a silty feel. Notable acid. Very nice Toscana!

The overall impression in relation to the coherence of the notes. #No notes were taken at this tasting nor any flavour specifications. Just drank some wine, either a glass (just like that) or with some food.#

Great Sangiovese….fruit forward …to be more specific berry like. Was a great balance to my bolognese!

My first after a break. Oh i’ve missed the reds!! Everything i would want, great to go with shop bought pizza. A great Sangiovese.

Pasta calls out for an Italian red. We let it breathe for about 90 min... currant and pomegranate at the start, some smoky undertones. Nice bottle

Needs to breathe. Classic old world style. Terroir driven, leather & earth yet enough fruit for good balance. More acidic than tannic on the finish.

Raisin and plum dominates this red. It feels almost sweet with low acidity and very subtle tannins. The finish is medium long and fruity.

Big bodied for sangiovese, smooth and feminine. Nice structure and quite a bit of oak. Scents of fennel/anis and dark berries.

Did have 3 small glasses of bourbon before having this but I think it’s good! Not super heavy but still dry and complex. What you expect from a 2020 toscana, naturally.

16/20.. Mmm, this is nice. Herbal nose. Lovely punchy body, with young red fruits, mint and herbal base. Good acidity and balance, verging on dry. Decent finish bursting with fruit and some spice. Great value

On the nose cherry, charcoal, and grass. On the palate cherry, cranberry, smoke. Medium bodied, extremely well balanced. Drinks like an expensive Chianti but sells for a very reasonable price. Paired with chicken wings marinated in a homemade hot sauce grilled on alder boards.

4.1 Great buy! IGT from single field, made of Sangiovese. The nose has red berries, leather, some minerals and herbs. The taste is fruit forward, medium acidity, balanced tannins, harmonious impression and a long finish. I would say the age is perfect right now. If you, like me, are a fan of Brunello, then this is a wine for you.

Very nice Tuscan from a winery famous with Brunello’s. Medium body, red ruby color, well integrated acidity, intensive taste of red ripe fruits, cherries, cranberries and black currant. Really enjoyable wine. Smooth and easy drinking.

3.7 Ranked 4 to pull this up. Great value. Beautiful cherry tobacco nose. Clear light color that is deceiving to the fruit burst of the wine. Mouthfeel is medium. So playful, the tannins wait in a typical cadence of most wines. Finish is dry. Great value. Would buy and stock up.

Very happy I received this in my first official Vivino Club shipment, and that the shipping challenges didn’t result in this being cooked!!! This is a higher-acid, higher-alcohol (14.5%) Tuscan Sangiovese, so it has rich ruby color, a full body, a long finish, smooth tannins, great cherry, as well as some oak, blackberry, vanilla, and some other dark berry and woodsy flavors. Bits of smoke and pepper, and this improved the Italian takeout dinner tonight! 😀🍷🍷👍🏻👍🏻⭐️

The wine store hailed it as a "baby brunello" with much of the flavor, complexity and balance as the real thing at a fraction of the price. It may not be the real thing, not it's certainly good. Black cherry, sage. Dry red, but it has some of the body and mouth feel of a sweeter wine. Bright acidity and light tannins are well balanced in this smooth, medium bodied wine.

Great stuff made in the weak -14 vintage from the ⭐️ producer Lisini. Lisini only make 'em red. 5 in total. Two Rosso and three different Brunello. This Rosso is made in the Maremma. 16 000 Bottles made. Rounded and glossy tannins. Morello cherry and raspberries. A blast of orange zest closes the finish.

Evidence of aging here with a tawny rim. Cherry, soy sauce, leather, tobacco nose. Caramel, soy sauce smoke, leather, earth, on the palate. Medium+ acid, medium- tannin, medium body, dry, 14% alc. A well aged IGT sangio from the Montalcino region in Tuscany.

Drinking a leather saddle that has been sunbathing on the earthy ground for an hour. Drizzled with cherry.

The third last glass at Terra. Black tea with cassis. Some mineral, wet stone. Quite big compared to the previous two.

Quite enjoyable. Broad on the tongue and the palate. Had as a perfect complement to prime rib. Currant, raisin, warm spices.

Savory, ripe cherry and earthy notes, long finish and very smooth; delicious! Reminds me a bit of a Vina Tondonia.

Medium Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry, lively floral spice, herbs, nice balance with savory fine tannins on a medium finish ending with a nutty mineral character. Easy drinking.

This really opens up with a bit of time. Cherry and oak, some tobacco and hint of smoke, even a little dark chocolate on the nose. Very reasonably priced (~$20) given the taste.

The last wine for Friday’s tasting and it was worth the wait! Dark ruby red with fruit forward aromas and taste of currants, raisins and black cherries. Would be wonderful with any pasta dish. At PA Fine Wines for $20!

I was gifted this wine. Tasting notes of oak, black cherry, raisin, leather, and tobacco. A dry, tannic wine. I agree with the Vivino rating on this one. Very enjoyable and a nice choice to start 2024! Happy New Year!

2016 was much better but this is still a good option with some good strawberry and raspberry flavours.

2025.7.19 (土) 自宅にて。

フレッシュで若い酸とタンニン。

明るいガーネット。 香りはやや強め。熟れたカシス、オークの芳ばしさ、そして鞣した皮とカルダモンのスパイシーさが非常に印象的。アタックはふくよかな果実味が広がるミディアムボディ。 タンニンは心地よい強さ、血のような強い鉄分、ラズベリー、プラムの酸味が広がり、複雑な余韻が長く続く。 個性的なワイン。 追記 翌日に持ち越した。色はやや紫がかった感じに。香りは失われずラズベリーとバラのフローラルが加わり、なんともバランスのよいアロマ。 味わいはより角がとれて飲みやすくフルーティーに。エレガントな印象に変化した。

トスカーナ。えー…。ちと苦手かもよ。 まぁ飲んでみてと、必ず出してくれるときにテイスティングさせてくれる。 んんん？これサンジョベーゼですか？ 色は目の詰まった感じの深い紫色。 まだ割に硬めの香り。良い具合の苦味と酸味。バランス良くて飽きない。 サンジョベーゼは酸味の強さからあんまり好みではなかったけど、これは美味しい。ピノ好きな人は好きだと思いますよ、とはマスター。確かに酸味もとがっていないし、上質なミネラルが広がる感じは、確かにピノっぽい。

Good table wine but I’ve certainly had smoother Toscana. Tart start and finish, nice fruitiness.
