Very present minerality balanced nicely with cranberry notes one would expect from Burgundy. The balance of tart fruit with earthiness was a great compliment to my sushi and steak.

A robust iteration of this wine, concentrated fruit aromatics with more pronounced florals, savory meaty notes, licorice, black tea, and warm spices. A medium + structure but seems slightly bigger, plush red fruit flavors with a saline inflected mid-palate with savory meaty notes, and a long mineral finish.

The nose has a beautiful aroma of moist earthen notes and mushrooms and bright red fruit that has been kissed by a gentle breeze from the forest floor. Moderate on the mid-palate with red cherry, pomegranate, anise, dark chocolate, new leather, and smooth oaken accents. I allowed to open for about 1.5 hours, which showcased the lush balanced structure of this gem! Finishes Semi-dry, which I love, with notes of the pala

Deep, earthy, damp soil, wet stone, black cherry, baked raspberry, red plum, truffle. It’s got M tannins and M body. It’s presenting as a strong, muscular wine. Complex and characterful with some beautiful barrel notes of clove, cedar and vanilla. Excellent wine!

Garnet. Menthol, bacon fat, balsamic, rosemary, earthy. Dry, tart, acetone, licorice, cranberry, slight forest floor. Medium body, medium-high acid, smooth integrated medium-light tannins, long aged fruit finish. Wonderful age and development! Drink: starting to fade, but glorious now.

Very good but still young wine. Will probably evolve and improve in the coming years. A lot of fresh fruit, good acidity. Wood is present, but of high quality and integrated. Good body with slight bitterness that doesn't bother (stem?).

Nice calm red wine, no bitters or tang so that’s great. My husband said he spent about $100 on it but I don’t think I’d necessarily buy it again at that price point. Maybe. Smooth sip with a woody aftertaste. I failed to finish it and left it re-corked for a week which made it not AS good but still going to drink it

my 2nd gevrey chambertin commune in a week but a Grand Cru this time.the complexity of this beetroot red pinot was quite engaging. the wet-earth,woody and fruit forward nose had a distinct aroma of roasted nuts all through. while she was struggling with structure & balance i enjoyed the intricate interplay of the subtle acidity & tannins between sips n pours leaving the palate a tad dry but wanting more ! paired well with a gently spiced lamb seekh kebab!my rating 4.1

As we enjoyed this 1997 Charmes-Chambertin blind, we never guessed 22 years of age! We got so much red and black fruits, pepper&spices and wood&minerality. The wine developed and changed frequently in the glass. In a great spot right now but will hold many more years. BoW 19/20

I have had the 2005 which is 5 star also tasted with ABC Isabelle after - not much to choose between them IMO but this has more spice and depth. A tribute to Jim C if you ask me.

A great wine altogether! Iron and blood nose as well as some violets. Complex mouth: there are several layers. Toast, red ripe fruits, an all present spicyness and a light reductive finish. Great acids and a balanced Tannic level that promise further development for years. Great concentration.

Me desloquei um bocado , e tá super valendo a pena!!! É um vinho de 38 euros. Bem legal, considerando que os $ dos franceses são sempre muito altos E ainda mais um pinot noir, legítimo da Borgonha

トプノ・メルム　ジュヴレ・シャンベルタン　2018 2018のブルは4点の良い年。2001からビオ。 ジュヴシャン村の北東部区画(クレート・パイユとラ・ジュスティス)と最南部区画レ・スーヴレ、標高330mで森に食い込んだベレール区画のブドウを使用。高地、低地と異なるテロワールをブレンドする古典的な手法。だそう。 まずパワフルなアロマ。黒寄りのベリー、キノコと湿った草のニュアンス。豊かな酸とタンニンでパワフルなのだが舌ざわりは極めてなめらか。 開けて1時間デキャンタージュ、2Hくらいで全開。 ネット小売1万くらい。 ひらまつオンライン　ジュブシャンベルタン2本セット1.8万円→1.4万。コスパ良い。

Took some time to open up, but notes of deep jam and tobacco unveiled, enjoyed at a celebratory autumnal supper at The Delaunay.

👁: Medium light garnet 👃: Forest floor, leather, strawberry, dried rose, mint, smoke 👅: Medium bodied. Tannic but silky. Very acidic at first, dry 4.2

Found some old tasting notes from bottles consumed in 2018 before I started on Vivino - fun to reminisce while winding down the last few days of Sober October. Was going through a huge red Burg village phase. One of my fave producers then and now. Muscly, classic Gevrey style. Leans more to black fruit than red for me, some plum, mulberry and licorice, with wood spice overtones and a slightly musky forest floor note. The palate shows fairly bold tannins (man was it young!) and a waft of coffee

😍 Pinot Noir 2014 from Gevrey Village, Bourgogne, just at its peak (or slightly past it, but gently so). Pronounced balsamic, old leather, red cherry, earth, with high-acidity finish and a palate that's great but not quite up there with the absolutely outstanding nose. Drink. NOW.

Quality wine, good balance, fruity, medium + intensity on the nose, some green notes, maybe dill, some raspberry. Balance between acidity and fruitiness.

Lightly more tart fruit than the 2018 we tasted together. Cranberry, sour cherry, violet, licorice. Med body, tannins with high acidity. Preferred the 2018

Dark red to purple. Aroma of raspberry, red currant, fennel, earthy notes and elegant oak. Dry, smooth balanced tannins, fresh with good and balanced acid, medium body and fairly long.

Earthy tones in the smell. Incredibly light but with a good amount of mushroom and light cherry on the back end. Kind of has a yeast type of funkiness going on but it’s enjoyable and not in a bad way at all. Sharp and slightly tart

Red fruit. Spice. Dry. Hint of oak. Long, long aftertaste. Balanced. Deep red. Ohhh..😀

Burgundy color in the glass (who knew). Nose of wet forest floor, dusty leather, black plum, red plum, strawberry, and pomegranate. Palate is broad and ripe with strawberry and red plum. Rustiness is still present with an earthy core. Med + acid, med - body, med alcohol, med - tannin. Med + finish & complexity.

Lovely ruby with light brown rimes, the nose is fruity with notes of red cherries, cassis, hint of barn yard, wet forest floor , dry leaves and hint of guava. Medium body , with silky tannins, balanced acidity, lovely fruit and a touch of minerals. The finish is elegant and long. Well made, aged perfectly and prime for drinking in my book. My score 90, drink to 2024

Grapefrukt og røde bær på nesen. Elegant aroma. Noe syre. Røde bær og tranebær på smak. Moden frukt i avsluttningen.

Pale ruby, earthy, cherry, stew fruit, mushroom, oak, cloves and coffee. Dry with high acidity, medium fine tannin soft grain. Medium alcohol, intensity and finish. Good quality Pinot from Gevrey-Chambertin with more pronounced earthy and subtle fruit.

Wine #2 with my duck confit, spice, black raspberry, floral notes, some tea and all around delightful. Nice cinnamon finish and a good sense of terrior. Yum! Great meal in Tokyo!

I am not a big Burgundy drinker, but I really like a nice and well made PN. This one pleased me even more that it was tasted in excellent company (MPB). The nose displays loads of elegant red berries (juicy cherry, fresh raspberry), delicate spices (cinnamon) and refined oak. The mouth had both body and tense, supported by beautiful fruits and fine tannins. Ps. Have you got big issues with your Vivino app too ?? Mine has loading and stats updates problems.... boring !

This is drinking great right now. With the age, it is soft and woodsy, with a rusty tinge. Slight balsamic notes in the background.

Good solid Burgundy. Got better after an hour. Not amazing but balanced and a nice level of earthy and secondary complexity coming through.

Colour Still bright cherry red in the glass with a little darkening to rich brown around the edge. Lovely soft tannins and still after 13 years some bright cherry notes, cedar, forest floor leather.

Favourite of the four vintages (2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017) Less power than 2016, but concentrated aromas with very fine tannins Elegant with lots of energy ... Thoroughly enjoyable!

Light bodied pinot, bright red in colour. Minty, spicy on the nose. Great depth and complexity; strawberry, toffee, truffles on the palate. Wonderful balance of acidity and dryness with surprisingly long finish. Wonderful pinot from cot d'Or

Lovely Gevrey Chambertin. Very simple and classy at the same time. Something in between light and medium garnet colour, and a beautiful nose full of violets, mint, mild spices, baked strawberry, a fair bit of of game, earthy and red cherry. Palate is dominated by red berries with raspberry as the dominant one. A fair bit of earthiness coming through. Dry, high acidity, medium body, light+ tannins and medium alcohol. Not bad at all

A lovely burgundy this evening. Medium garnet colour. On the nose it is vegetal and earthy, red cherry, candied red fruit, game, sweet peppermint tea, violet and raw beetroot. Dry. Medium body. High acidity. Medium- tannins. Medium alcohol. The palate has flavours of raspberry and cherry, oak and it is quite earthy like soil. Good quality Gevrey Chambertain, that is pleasant easy drinking, nicely balanced with decent complexity.

Bought this baby from the owner of the wintard when driving around Burgundy and kept for 5 years. Outcome - lovely. Well balanced palate, lively dong smell, but just slightly shallow at the end. Hope to taste a different vintage soon!

My 3rd bottle of this wine from the formidable E-claret drunk in some uninspiring Japanese restaurant in Shanghai with eel, smoked duck and stuff. Tell you what, after an impeccable draft Japanese beer this bottle tasted terrific. I left the restaurant in this perfect place of harmony thinking how can a 12 years old reasonably priced village wine taste so good? Not the stiff uptight French this time. Lovely and right for a little trade war antidote: Japanese food in Shanghai with Gevrey Chambert

Pale red color, medium bodied, well aged, medium acid, medium dry, medium alcohol. Smells fruits, tart, cranberry sauce, taste like grape juice with sweet and sour taste, some oaky, some tannins, some minerality finish. Compared with Gevrey Chambertin if the same domain, same vintage, I prefer Chambertin.

Rubí/granate medio en Nariz muy activa flores y cereza negra madera y tierra mojadis. Cuerpo medio equilibrado y representativo de los sabores franceses.

Nice Pinot, raspberry and cherry flavors.

Hint of pepper and dark berries, smooth tannins and a good balance. A little short aftertaste. Maybe it needs a couple of years in the cellar.

Elegant and poised perhaps with time this could yet evolve.

Caramel, ripen strawberry, cake. Vivid in acidity but m- tannin not support the complexity enough. Lovely, easy drinking but not for further ageing.

Also a bit more on the purple side. Plum and cherry on the nose. Less earthiness. More soft and round. Very harmonious.

Big PN Blind Tasting Second Bracket #3 Wine of the tasting for most but not for me, maybe because it was tasted after the By Farr and its exuberant stemmy personality? 😉 Elegant nose of smoked bacon, sweet red cherry with a peppery edge. Round & soft, pillowy mouthfeel, bright acidity, ripe tannins. Seamlessly clean, smooth, long. So much so that it somewhat lacked character, my notes say 'flat, overly polished'. Too perfect? 4.0 13.5% abv, cork.

2019 Pinor Noir の香りの特徴の一つである 赤色系の果実のかおりと鉄っぽさがバランスよく感じるワイン。ブドウ由来の酸がキレイだが優美な感じよりは少ししっかりとした印象でGevrey Chambertin の畑らしい味わいに感じた。
