A fantastic Zinfandel from 112‑year‑old vines, showing real depth and personality. Aged 18 months in barrel, it opens with a unique vanilla note that’s not sweet, more herbal, followed by a playful bubble‑gum hint underneath. My kind of a Cali Zin from the Lodi area. A sustainable producer that uses 110 year old vines, unused for Cali. Notes of blackberry, dark cherry, caramel, and peppercorn. Full body but not overly fruit expressive as the caramel and pepper balance it out. A food wine with 14.5% alc, it went well with take-out bbq sauce burgers. TGIF everyone!!

This has an incredibly lifted and bright fruit but with huge intensity. It is like a pastel fruit pop that is super rich, dense and ripe. Super ripe. Raisin. 112 year old vineyard. This is unmistakable Zinfandel. Violets, floral. Intense - not sure what not intense is like They use a low amount of wood. They are trying to bring this back a lot and have a finesse style. $45 14.5%

Як вказує виробник, вік лози 112 років. Насичений рубіновий колір, чорні уварені ягоди, в ароматі лікерна вишня, трохи томатів. В смаку кислотність вище середньої, танін середній інтегрований, тіло приємне, середній післясмак, досить високий алкоголь. Хороший баланс, цікава позиція за свої гроші.

90 Aroma had black currants, overripe plums, oak, vanilla, blueberries and blackberries. Over the palate came black currants, blueberries, blackberries, oak and vanilla. Medium acidity, medium plus tannins and dry.

Red ripe fruit liquorice aromas. The taste is also very fruity and with good taninns and medium body. I like the zinfandel so it’s a 4 for me.

Vanilla, pepper, arugula, made my hamburger perfect. Very bold, balanced good wine. Blueberries, medium length, mild to medium tannins.

Medium Ruby with extremely long legs. Red fruit is first to emerge followed by intense chocolate and even a hint of cigar box. Balanced on the palate with silky tannins. Long finish.

Good Zinfandel. Complex wine with a lot of things going on when you taste it. Black fruits, leather, tobacco and spices. Good body and silky tannins with a very pleasant aftertaste. It needs time to open.

Nice and smooth Zinfandel. A little closed in the nose at first, but opens up after a while in the glass. Nice peppery notes with hints of moss, red fruits, and even flowery notes. Lingering taste with well-balanced tannins. It was perfect for a grilled steak.

A wonderful taste of old vine zinfandel. Superb from beginning till the end. Intense dark red forest fruits, with a touch of black pepper. I have visited this winery last summer, where I have bought this bottle. I hope to go back one day. Then to hope not to miss a performance of Aloson Kraus and Willie Nelson.

Excellent example - massive wine, rammed with cherry and blackberry fruit, smooth and long on the finish. Vanilla lingers on the palate just long enough - this wine is beautifully balanced. Don’t hesitate - it’s really good.

Light ruby. Cherries, strawberries, and cranberries on the nose. Complex, fruit hints of oak and pepper with red fruit. Very good integrated wine that is drinking prime right now. Smooth and silky and not overly jammy Zinfandel. Drinking well now. Not sure it’s going to improve with age.

Belo zinfandel. Bem equilibrado. Não exagera no dulçor como outros zins. Na boca tem frutas vermelhas e negras e chocolate. Café?

A bit heavy, strong & acid taste with good blackberry impact. Totally well balanced, and it's typical zinfandel wine.

Dejlig duft af solbær, varme, fyldig, lakrids og med en god integreret syre og tilpas afrundet sødme. Alt i alt et rigtig godt glas vin i god harmoni.

Parras de 1909, que me pregunto cómo sobrevivieron a la prohibición en USA. 10 hectareas, bajo la subapelación "río Mokelumne". V: rojo sanguíneo, capa media, traza cereza hermosa. N: clavo, cereza, ciruela, caramelo, nuez moscada, pasas, pimienta, algo de plátano maduro, hierbas del campo. B: acidez alta, tanino dulce con astringencia media alta. Largo final de frutas rojas y negras. Madera bien integrada. Recomendable este Zinfandel 100%, me recordó a un Brunello, se nota que son Sangioves

Había tenido malas experiencias con los Zinfandel de EUA pero este me encantó. Fruta madura, en especial higos y ciruelas, pero sin ser empalagoso ni caluroso. De cuerpo medio, muy balanceado. 4.1.

中程度のガーネット色。 香りの強さはやや強く、レッドチェリー、レッドプラム、キイチゴ、ブラックベリー、ブルーベリー、ブラックチェリー、ブラックプラム、プルーン、レーズン、焼いた／煮込んだ、ミント、リコリス、クローヴ、ナツメグ、チョコレート、コーヒー、乾燥させたブラックプラム、調理したブラックベリー、土、タバコの香り。発達段階は発達中。 味覚としては、辛口で、酸味はやや高い。タンニンは中程度で、アルコールは強い。フルボディ。風味は強く、後味は長い。 品質評価としては、バランス、余韻、凝縮度、複雑さが全て認められることから、素晴らしい。今飲んでもよいが、熟成の可能性がある。 レーズンのような香りと、少し意図的な酸化をさせたような香りが印象的。これまで価格安めのジンファンデルしか飲んだことがなかったので、興味深かった。

開けてそのまま飲むと、渋味は強く感じました。濃厚で美味しいです。 デキャンティングポアラを通すとまろやかな味わい。それでいて、力強い。コショウのようなスパイシーな感じもありました。 味の余韻は弱いように思います。 香りはとうもろこしの様な甘い香りです。
