Something special for my 2100th tasting note. Dry grand cru Pinot Noir from one of the best German producers. Highly complex and multifaceted, with already integrated but still very profound tannins. Clear oak note, dark fruit, forest berries, tobacco and smoke. Greatly preserved Pinot acidity, beautiful structure. Develops very nicely in glass - every sniff/sip brings another layer. Long finish. This is still a baby (with great potential), I wouldn't recommend opening it sooner than in ca 10 ye

Goosebump wine!! 94-96 points German Pinot Noir at its best. Absolute stunning french burgundy nose. 100 points for the nose. Cherry, Strawberry-cream, but also lots, lots of earthy notes like leather, licorice and forrest-earth. On the palate not 100% in harmony yet, but already a super precise wine, with animating fruit and acidity,as well as laurel and juniper. Give this guy another 5 years, and it will blow minds

wow.. That‘s peak German Pinot. More on the powerful side of Pinot with higher tannins and dark fruit. The wine is pretty reductive upfront but with air it opens up to dark cherries, cranberries, rasberries and strawberries underlined by flintstone, a hint of vanilla and freshly grinded coffee. On the palate there is lots of structure, medium plus acidity, medium plus, ripe and silky tannins and lucious fruit. Very mineraly and powerful on the finish. Comes back in waves.

Ein Monument, ein Klassiker, so elegant, so fein saftig - da wähnt man sich glatt im Himmelreich - bzw im Heydenreich… 🍷🍷✌🏻

Truly remarkable and memorable Spätburgunder GG. Beautiful deep nose, forest raspberries, cherries, clean black-red colour, juicy and fresh with integrated tannins. Sappy acidity and intriguing, long finish. Very convincing and well-crafted wine, a long-distance runner for sure at GC Burgundy level.

Nun ja, einerseits auch nur ein Rotwein, andererseits schon ein toller Wein Kräftige PN-Nase, extraktreich und dennoch elegant auf der Zunge, Tannine nicht mehr dominierend (wie bei jüngeren Jahrgänge) Aber nicht süchtig machend, gebremster Trinkfluß Obige Kritikpunkt ändern aber nichts daran, daß dies ein Spitzenwein ist

Sehr reife und unfassbar geile Nase nach dunklen Beeren aber auch Eukalyptus. Am Gaumen eine leichte Säurespitze, die etwas stört. Aber der Gesamteindruck macht das wieder wett.😎

Der bisher beste deutsche Spätburgunder. Komplexe Aromen. Wunder geschliffene Tannine. Kirsche und Erdbeere. Mittlerer bis voller Körper und mittlerer bis langer Abgang. Ein Genuss zu Ente/Wild

Im Glas hohe Viskosität, helles Rubinrot, in der Nase animierende Beerenfrucht und Holz, am Gaumen dunkles Holz, feine grüne leicht adstringierende Tannine, die im langen Abgang nachklingen, noch viele Jahre Lagerpotenzial, aktuell noch jung und ungestüm.

Braucht etwas Luft. Sehr karg und säurebetont, wenig Frucht, erdig, leichte Alterungsnoten. Komplex, rund sehr lecker, aber kein "einfacher" Wein. Bleibt extrem lang. Wirkt deutlich jünger als 8 Jahre und kann sicher noch lange liegen. Platz 1/3 - Deutsche Spätburgunder 13.5%

7 year old Pinot. Still has tannins, I think it can last quite a few years more. Red berries, bit of tobacco. Fairly full wine for a Pinot. Deep light red colour. Enjoyed it with a pasta dinner

Helles blinkende Rot mit schönen Trinkfluss. Veilchen und Fels, Fruchtiges trockenes Cassis, Erdbeeren und Erdbeerlaub in der Nase. Mineralien schmeicheln im Mund.

Sehr gelungen, staubtrocken, cassis, Kirsche, hohe Intensität dennoch kommt Deutschland durch und nicht so raffiniert wie einige Franzosen, aber alles auf höchstem Niveau dann am Ende zu teuer.

again a wonderful pinot noir. not as good as the 2008, but this could be the reason of the age. anyway i enjoyed the fruit, ate beginning rather high acidity, but after a while in the glass it disappears. great finish!

Disappointed given its price ! High in acidity, unbalanced and lack of fruit...is sold as best of this producer but it's actually 2nd in class behind Sankt Paul....
