Indrukwekkend. Direct uit de fles ruikt het haast naar gefermenteerde groenten. Een uur in de karaf opent de wijn een hoop, een stuk fruitiger. Weinig body, niet heel sterk in de zuren en weinig tannines. Wel erg veel mineraliteit. Rokerig, leer en gist. Prikt op de tong. Heel interessante wijn.

Desde trassierra ,cuna de bandoleros y en plena Sierra Morena, he podido degustar unas exquisitas perdices estofadas con este extraordinario y bien presentado vino de nuestras islas afortunadas,que, al igual que sus valerosos Pilotos insulares, se presentan al mundo sin complejo alguno. Listán negro, uva autóctona de Canarias. Muy elaborado, con 12 meses de foudre y madera. Notas complejas de la tierra volcánica. Recomendable como algo especial.

Opened up extremely reductive with its volcanic, sulphuric, and gunpowder ranky stank. It then settled after some 20 min and left a subtle volcanic minerality. Nice acidity and well balanced to the light side. Fresh and juicy with raspberry and red currant.

Doftar köttig syrah, smakar jordgubbar, hallon, körsbär. Inte som syrah. Kul att testa listan Negra. Elegant, blyerts och frukten kommer fram mer. Underbar rubinröd färg.

Alk. 12,5%. Listan negro 100%. Reduktiv, Rauch, Asche — man ist sofort am Vulkan. Etwas rote Beerenfrucht. Schon bisschen ruppig mit austrocknendem Tannin, dann aber doch saftig, unglaublich trinkig. Schlank, straff und sogar komplex, bisschen funky. Für den Preis schon echt ein Wahnsinnswein. (92-93)

Sehr schön vulkanisch und steinfruchtig in der Nase. Medium Säure und steinige Frucht wie ein Pinot, dann vulkanische Säure. Toll!

Spændende vin fra Kanarieøerne på druen listan negro. Minder en del om god bourgogne, røde bær, hindbær. En del syre ret tør.

Strong volcanic. Acidic, really nice

Pale a little hazy wine. Redcurrant juice, strawberry juice, a hint of vanilla, fills the mouth in all directions. Interesting wine.

A really different spanish red tonight. Translucent ruby on the pour. While the colour suggest pinot like, the nose lacks the front end bright red fruit, instead smoke, tobacco leaf, and possibly oak. The mouth is very light, dry and moderate + acidity. Some dark cherry fruit appears late with layers of soft tannins. Overall the finish is medium. Listano negra grape is widely planted on the canary islands. Worth a read. Overall interesting, lots of pinot noir similarities.

Der ist gut. Erinnert an einen Pinot noir wegen der leckeren roten Frucht, aber auch Rauchigkeit und Würze. Trinkt sich schnell weg.

Canarische eilanden geven mij veel leuke wijnen. Dit is ook weer een. Soepel en fruitig. Best een beetje stallig, maar vervliegt na een tijdje. Drinkt goed door.

Helles nicht ganz transparentes Kirschrot. Ein echter Vulkanwein - reduktiv in der Nase, Leder, Schießpulver, leicht florale Noten, so gut wie keine Frucht. Im Glas dann von mittlerer + Säure geprägt, grippiges Tannin, leichte Cranberry Noten, wieder vulkanisch, Böller, grüner Tabak, grünes Holz. Super interesting! 91/100

Spændende, meget frisk, vulkansk vin fra Tenerife. Let i stilen med mere syre end tannin og bærpræget med indtryk af jordbær, hindbær og røget, tørt kød og sichuanpeber, men til start skal den lige prutte noget svovlet af sig, som efterfølgende går over fine mineralske nuancer. Mellemlang, forfriskende eftersmag 🌋

In der Nase Himbeere. Geprägt von Gestein und mineralischem Durchzug. Leichte Erdbeere, rauchiger Nachhall.

Rote Früchte und sehr viel Schießpulver/Feuerstein. Frisch und leicht am Gaumen.

Stinker am Anfang. Tolles leichtes Rot. Trinkiger Wein. Danke Dave!

Reminds me of an unfiltered, more complex version of a burgundy (cote d’or) pinot noir wine earthy, low acidity, light bodied, some tannin

This is pretty cool. I am not a huge Listán Negro connoisseur, but this has some convincing qualities. Notes of red currant, strawberry, minerals, oak and hints of smoke and thyme.

Interesting grape. Light and mimicking a Pinot noire. Plenty on the nose with mild tobacco and cherry. Smooth in the mouth with a bundle of red fruits. Pleasant and good for a summer’s evening .

My first Listan Negro encounter from the island of Tenerife off course! A very “Pinotnoirsque” grape with elegant & complex character! Beautiful medium ruby color & intense 👃 with medicinal notes along with black & red fruit! Medium bodied 👅 with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, vanilla, thyme & other herbs! Good acidity, low tannins & medium aftertaste! An interesting wine for about 15€! It can be enjoyed easily chilled as well!

Similar to what many reviewers say, similarities with Pinot Noir, but also with the volcanic mineral aspect and with that comes a strongly recommended breathing period of at least 30-60 minutes. Nice fresh tones with subtle oak, vanilla. Some tones of light red fruit.

Juicy wine, lots of fruit, minerals. Black fruit and red currant, cherry and pencil shavings.

Ein interessanter, spannender Wein. Beim Öffnen der Flasche ein deutlicher Hauch von Petrol bzw. Steinöl in der Nase, der sich etwas später verflüchtigt und in Richtung Bleistift/Grafit/Feuerstein geht. Am Gaumen eine frische Fruchtigkeit (Sauerkirsche) und Säure, fast schon spritzig, allerdings ohne gärig zu wirken. Im (langen) Abgang entwickeln sich deutliche Anklänge von Honigmelone.

Un joli vin rouge agréable a boire marqué par de belles notes fumées.

A Listán Negro from the volcanic soils of the Island of Tenerife. The vineyard is in the Orotava Valley, on the steep slopes of the Teide volcano (350-700m). Ruby red colour with garnet reflexes and medium thick tears. Ripe red cherries, tones of black currants, dried tobacco leaves, rosa pepper and leather, hints of pencil shavings, volcanic minerality, well present tannins, vivid acidity, long finish. Listan Negro. Funky and bretty upon opening, not too impressive the 2nd day either, while on the 3rd day it began to show some interest - needs heaps of air. Deep, dark ruby purple, mostly transparent. At first it shows a floral, herbal character of violets, bay leaves, some camphor and unripe red berries. Härligt vin!! Doften är volatil och stallig men på ett lockande sätt. Kraftfull smak med toner av lakrits, mörka bär, svavliga mineraler och med fina tanniner! Ett helt igenom bra vin! Kul med en helt ny druva.

A little different Spanish wine, close to a good burgundy Pinot Noir. It has a lot of smoke minerals in the nose from Vulcano Teide. Other aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry and pepper.

Nice fresh wine that should be served pretty cold. We found red red currant, cherry, pencil shavings and minerals. More tannins than expected and medium to full bodied. We had it with charcuteries and cheese. Recommendable.

Ljus i färgen. Lite lite grumlig. Väldigt rökig med toner av svavel. Röda bär, kryddor och lite örter. Bra till grillad kyckling.

Some dark berry characteristics. Slightly smoky and some herbaceous notes.

Eher helles kirschrot, in ger Nase rotfruchtig, Krautwürze, leichte Animalik und etwas Gummi. Frische Säure, griffiges, feinkörniges Tannin, kleines Bitterle, am Gaumen interessanter als in der Nase. Mittellanger Abgang.

Torr, skarp. Nästan ingen frukt. Intressant

Härligt rökig och josig. Skön kryddighet bland jordgubbarna.

Meget lækker, frugtig og krydret vin. Klare røde frugter og bær.

Light. Some oak. Balanced but high in acid.

Volcanic rock, dry, earthy, almost no fruit, unique

Spännande och annorlunda. Doft: krut och myggmedel. Smak: knappt medelfylligt med hög syra. Rödfruktigt. Krut och krydda ( vilken oklart)

Könnte man einen Vulkan trinken, würde er wohl so schmecken 😂 Im Glas extrem helles Rot, in der Nase Schwefel, Rauch, Tabak - null Frucht (ist aber für mich keinesfalls unangenehm und auch den mehrfach erwähnten Geruch fauler Eier hatte ich nicht). Am Gaumen extrem trocken, reduktiv, vulkanisch-rauchig. Sehr speziell, kein trinkanimierender Spaßwein. Eher ein Wein, der einen fordert, aber zum Probieren ist das schon ziemlich spannend!

アシエンダ・ラス・カニャス・リスタン・ネグロ 2020 中庸のルビー。ゆったり流れるレッグス。 香りのボリュームはやや大きい。 熟れた巨峰、トマトのヘタ、ピーマン、鉛筆。 柔らかいアタック。しなやかな酸とややドライな甘味。タンニンは中庸でやや収斂性があり、後味には種の苦味が残り中庸。 スペインは初のカナリア諸島、リスタン・ネグロの赤。 アルコールの低さからくるソフトなアタックのソフト。しかしそれを裏切るようなビターなフィニッシュ。グリーンノートも強い中々個性的なワイン。

熟したベリー系とほのかな胡椒のようなスパイスの香り、控えめな酸味に意外としっかり目のタンニン。 初リスタン・ネグロ。

Blaufränkisch & Co, blind tasting, June 2024, brief impressions, brief notes: a pretty austere wine with unripe fruity notes, a strong mineral undertone and far too strong sulphite notes. Had we given it some more time, it could have showed some of its virtues, but at a blind tasting it didn’t have much of a chance.

Wine tasting at The Cellar. The theme is volcanic wines. #4 From the Canary Islands. Listan Negro grape is only grown there. Bizarre wine. Pale ruby, like PN. Nose of pepperoni, spice and smoke. Tart palate of sour cherries, spice and minerals. Not my favourite.

Explosiv doft av utedass, krut, svavel, tång och både blöta och varma stenar på en ö långt bort. Blir mer balanserad av att luftas.

Det er en misforståelse at producere vin som ikke dufter godt. Vinen har en kraftig duft af svovl på trods af at der dekanteres. Selve smagen er egentlig Ok, men det skal være en helhed.

Echter Wein an Limit. Extrem interessante Erfahrung um sein Horizont zu erweitern. Kalte Eier, Schwefelig. Spannend.

Horrid smells of sulfur, similar to the thermal mineral water of the springs of Karlovy Vary or the friction created between to rocks hit together, which unfortunately stapled the wine experience. A very interesting red, unlike anything I've had before, but not one for me as the initial sulfur notes were hard to get over even though it does get significantly better when breathed.
