Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel

紫がかったルビー色。プラムや赤いベリーの香りと、ほのかに黒胡椒とバニラ香。 涙もとろみがあり、凝縮感がありそうだったけど予想以上の果実味。タンニンは穏やかながら厚みがあり、パワフル。余韻も良い感じ！樹齢100年越えならではの強い凝縮感を感じた。

ジンファンデルらしい、ブドウの果実味を強く感じるワイン。上質なアロマで美味しく飲めるワイン。

カリフォルニア、ZINFANDELワイン。辛口で濃い味。　醤油とショウガ、ニンニク、ハチミツで下味をつけた、Hanger steak肉を焼いたものと合わせたが負けてない味付け。　肉に合うワイン。最近はZinfandelを試し飲みしているが、現時点ではMy best Zinfandel

Sweet! A very nice Zin, with more sweet than spice. Such forward fruit caught me by surprise. A good value. I love Zins in the summer and I’ll add this one to my line up.

澄んだ濃いルビー。ココナッツ飴、煙草雲と甘い樹々のアメリカンパンチ。桃缶やプラムソースとしっかりした果実だけど飲みやすい。度数は高くサラサラしてる。グラスの涙は遅く、回しやすい感覚と軸がぶれない。意外だ。意識したのは最近で、アルコールよりグリセロールの方が粘性が強いのかも。化学的にもそんな気もする。度数の高さもあって空想のニトロだ。 泡立ちの差も気になり、灰汁に近い立ち位置か洗剤の泡立ちか全部同じか今後の課題。 八角、豆板醤、烏龍茶と辛味噌もあり四川、韓国料理とか合う？自作の甘辛麻婆豆腐は良い感じ。バター感が甘味増すのかも。ただ、ワインの方が強いので本場が気になる所。 後は怒られるかもだけど、掃除したての水槽の香りがする。磯と言うには遠く、川や濡れた石と言うには難しく、水草の生えた砂利の水槽を綺麗にした感じはしっくり来ます。 ワカメ石？色々飼ってだけど水族館の香りと言うか。好きなんですよねコレ。 …何コレ？笑。以下創作。 拳で語る夢物語。アメリカン一歩、大樹の鷹に隠れた煙草。粘りのカウンターはニトロ、友は中華、合わせない比重と減量苦。似合わぬ園芸、水槽閃く水族館。 ドラゴンフィッシュ

穏やかな酸と、優しいタンニンで食事に合わせて長く飲めると言った感じ。 ズドーンと重い感じではないがライトでもなくバランスも良い。 少しスパイシーな風味と甘い香りがするので飽きずに飲める。 中国料理との相性も良いかと。

Tannins and currents follow a bright acidic introduction to this wine. A smooth finish. Wonderful with a medium Delmonico steak.

Nice, not too fruit-forward Zin. All the black berries it’s supposed to have, but a rich, slightly oaky finish. A little different than the branded Zins.

This was a very good wine for us. A dry wine with Cherry notes and some tartness. Loved it and would buy again. We were fortunate and got it for 25% off.

Strong notes of cherry and strawberry with a faint hint of oak and chocolate. Medium tannins and an extremely smooth finish. Such a joy to drink by itself or paired with red meat!

Lots of dark fruit, low tannins. It's loaded with dark cherry which is balanced by acidity; not particularly sweet. I expected a little more based on their regular zin, but is still quite good

3.8 - This wine is what the inside of a pie tastes like. The jammy in your face Zin, is fun and nice but doesn’t show the nuances you want from Zins that stand out. Amazing for a wine around 10 dollars. Nice spice to the big jammy Zin notes. Vanilla. Amazing as a passing through wine that is inexpensive.

Cline has been a standby for me for for years. Consistently good when you want to reach for a solid bottle that you know will hit the spot. A big bold wine with notes of cherry, dark chocolate and smoky plums.

Say what you will about his politics, you gotta love Clint Eastwood. This is his flagship wine from what I’ve been told. It’s like him in a way - a little old, a little problematic, but still pretty appealing and great at acting. I wouldn’t scream at a chair 🪑 unless I really had a lot of glasses of it though. I’d say it’s more like a gran Torino Clint than one of his old westerns: it’s a little much and doesn’t always make you smile, but in the end you’ll be glad you had it and maybe she’d a t

Medium/light garnet , full body, low tannins, medium acidity, smooth finish. Oak, violet and cherry preserves on the nose. Cherry, blackberry, cassis, anise, orange, marzipan and sage on the palate.

Dark violet inky color with a clear rim. Jammy, Beautiful aroma of fresh cut strawberries, leather, sage, spices and cedar smoke. Bold, full bodied, high acidity, high alcohol, long legs and long finish. Low tannins.

This is an absolutely amazing wine bursting with flavors of blueberry pie, raspberry jam, boysenberries, cedar, mint and vanilla. Bold and soft with a creamy mouth feel and a warm finish. Excellent QPR🌟

Medium tannins. Medium bodied. Pepper edges. Strawberry. Coffee. Chocolate. A WS Top 100 (40) in 2018. Love it.

Paired up well with a ribeye, mushrooms/onions, etc. Cuts the fattiness of a tasty meat. Jammy plum back at you.

3.7 rating on this Zinfandel. Spicy, dark berry starts real smooth then opens wider. Good selection with grilled meats.

Really loved this with spiral ham and potatoes au gratin, etc. Went through this so quickly (everyone preferred this instead of the white option offered) that I don't have great notes. More complex than I'd expected, nice dark fruits at start, and green apple tannins at end. First time and will most definitely have again.

This is great on the nose. Huge in fruit - cherry, fig, raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant - with a layer of oak and vanilla, with a touch of stemminess, with a bit of eucalyptus and dried herbs in there. I LOVE cali Zinfandel. The palate is a bit underwhelming, though. A med high acidity clouds out some flavour clarity, and though there’s red fruit in there, it’s a completely different experience.

Light and a little bit acidic.

Oak, currants, and berries on the nose. Blackberry and cherry fruits on the palate with a super soft and smooth finish. Exceptionally nice for $15.

This is a very good value. Less jammy and more depth and complexity. Layered red/black fruit. Soft tannins and good balance. Equally at home for cocktails or dinner.

‘21 vintage opened on a random Tuesday night. Needs a little time to open up. Chocolate covered cranberries, vanilla, oak. Full bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity. Not bad for the price.

This one had some promise, wasn’t a fan of the othe cline wines, but the Zinfandel had a decent body and some robust flavors. cherry and chocolate but in a way that paid off.

YOWTC Advent calendar day 24 “Z” and again it’s what I guessed. Short notes as there seems to be an issue with Vivino wiping out or duplicating notes to another wine 🤪 lighter style Zinf with fresh berry flavours.

random bottle i must have acquired in the past but quite a funzies bottle to drink when young quite obviously a jam bomb but with some age its shaken off a lot of that and u get some of the tannin power biting back maybe not this exact bottle, but made me believe in california zin knocked down a few years being delicious wine. oddly enough tastes worse after some air and back to jammy, so i liked it before it opened up

Whole foods $29.99 → $13.89 安！ 時々セールをやってるwhole foods。半額以下と言うのも何だか不思議ですね。 やや透き通る程度の濃いルビーレッド。色に反してドライプルーンの様な力強い香り。 口に含むと直ぐにそれとわかるカリフォルニアジンファンデル。フレッシュなラズベリー、カシスの赤系果実感。シャバシャバした口当たりに少し品のよろしくない甘さ、スミレと樽香。飲み始めは、ややスパイスがあったのですが、時間と共に消えてしまいました。 良くも悪くも、カリフォルニアジンファンデル代表の様なワインですね。

ネットで購入 甘い。アルコール度数15度もあるが、スムースで飲みやすい。

甘さが際立つジンファンデル。少し甘さの主張が強いか。寒い時期に、自然に温度が下がって飲むなら良いかも。夏には不向き。

Blackberry, plum, smoke, pepper on the nose. Rich and jammy, blackberry, plum, strawberry, cherry, chocolate, vanilla with a mild acidity. I wish this wine had a sharper acid profile. If you like big jammy wines this will be a hit for a low price.

良い感じの透き通るレンガ色 酸味とタンニンのバランスもさることながら、カリフォルニアらしい？「土」感が良い 時間経過と共にこなれて、すごく好みです CLINE　4種類購入してるので楽しみ ネット購入セット

ど定番、CLINEのZinfandel。たまには原点回帰で。 色はやはりイメージのZinfandelよりは薄いけど前回の印象よりは濃い。南RhôneのCDRくらいかな。 立香はやっぱりいい。1日目の方が良かったかな。それでもチェリーやカシスのような感じと、ブラックベリーやプラムの感じがあって、いいブレンドのCDRみたい。シラーに近いのかなあ。 含み香も同じで香りの大きさは良い感じだけど、深みがあまりない印象。でも後味が大きめで良い。タンニンや酸味はほとんど出てこないのでサクサク飲めてしまう。酸っぱいのは困るけど、酸味が最後に来ないと切れという部分は少し物足りないかもなあ。 でも美味しいよ！
