Roasty, nutty, hints of spice. Also reminiscent of Korean herbal medicine
Une préférence pour le 1969 qui est juste excellent.
1999 - holly shit this is tremendous. ‘99 Rivesaltes GC in perfect condition. Just layered with raisin, sultana, marmalade, dried apricot and crushed walnuts. This is so youthful and vibrant through the palate with acidity that balances the sugar with effortless precision. Exceptional stuff. Best wine I’ve drank in 2020 99pts.

Een blend van de twee Grenache's plus Macabeu. Een klein beetje oxidatieve toetsen, maar heerlijke geroosterde nootjes als aroma's. Zoet-zuur-balans is perfect. Super bij banana split.

A taste of history here w. this Macabeo, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris blend from south of Corbières & aged 40years in foudre. Pale tawny. Very nutty, raisin smell. Super nutty like almond, coffee. Unlike usual fortified wine, there is no alcohol taste. Amazing.
Outstanding, obscure dessert wine. Flavor and texture-wise, it sits between a port and a traditional French dessert wine. Don’t drink it too cold, it should be just chilled.
First impression -wtf...it smells rum, why I have to pay for it? But after breathing... very intense raisin and apricot aroma with smoky notes(as if it were whiskey). with honey, apricot and caramel taste. Quite straightforward and intense taste. Being 15,5% and 20 years old it is a very easy drink

Robe intense, rousse. Nez intense sur la noix, les fruits confits (coing), le miel, la figue, la cannelle. En bouche c’est liquoreux, alcooleux et à l’acidité moyenne. Corps puissant et belle longueur. Un vin excellent

Belle persistance ✍🏼 un superbe Rivesaltes ambré intense et complexe, qui présente en plus un équilibre et une longueur en bouche.
Une merveille Robe ambrée ambrée de teinte tire d’érable ou caramel doré. Nez agréable avec des arômes de caramel, de pâte d’amande, de pain d’épices, de zeste d’orange et de cassonade grillée. Un plaisir en bouche. Il n’est pas trop sucré avec une bonne acidité. On y retrouve des notes de pain d’épices, de zeste d’orange, d’amande et de crème brûlée.

Très très mielleux, un peu oxydé (mais dans le bon sens), noix, abricot sec et vanille. Excellent !
Quelle jeunesse ! Au nez, du miel, amende, sous bois. En bouche l'équilibre est parfait. Juste assez d'acidité pour avoir de la tension, du sucre mais léger, sans bouche pâteuse. Et une très belle longueur. Bref du grand art.
A truly beautiful white wine. Perfectly rounded with mellow tannins. A pefect harmony of dried apricots, amoretti biscuits, caramel and a hint of cinamon. Incredible value for this little known gem from le Sud.

Very nice Rivesaltes! On the young side, at 35 years of age. Sweet, but refreshing, with aromas of apricot, raisins, orange marmalade, citrus zest, honey, caramel and sauna. Good, fresh acid.

Feira de vinhos Foire aux Vins da Chez France. Cor âmbar intenso, brilhante e muito bonito. Aromas intensos de mel, damasco, frutas compotadas e nozes. Acidez bem presente, açúcar na medida para um vinho de sobremesa. Final persistente.

Interesting. Bone dry yet has some yeast and some light walnut and light raisins. It was a weirdly filled with heavy traditional notes yet ethereal and light.
Drank at Mingles on 31 May 2025 as part of wine pairing. Wonderfully paired with the sweet dessert. Impressive!

2023년 1월 폴레에서. 빈티지가 오래되어 알코올의 샤프한 느낌은 무뎌지고 잔잔하고 우아하게 들어가는 디저트 와인. 카라멜 처럼 부드러워서 초콜릿이나 달달한 과일과 같이 먹으면 맛있을 듯함.
캬라멜, 살구의 풍미. 마치 잘 담근 과실주같은 느낌이다. 디저트와인의 첫경험.

4++ pts. Lovely with lot of character. Over 20 years old, dark amber colour, raisins, dried apricot, oak, smoke in abondance, caramel, toffee, nutty, primarily roasted almond, some toast and orange marmalade, some kirsch and hints of cherry.
Roasted coffee beans, toffee, caramel, honeycombs on the nose. Smooth palate, silky and full bodied. Long juicy finish.

Jaren geleden dat ik deze proefde, de 1989 had ik nog niet. De Languedoc is ondergewaardeerd en deze oxidatieve stijl wijn is echt exceptioneel: you love it or you hate it. Deze blend v Maccabeu, Grenache blanc & Grenache gris rustte 20 jaar op grote houten foeders.
