This wine is so posh, it comes with its own butler, I’m pretty sure I heard it sigh contentedly when I opened it. Tasting notes: Liquid crème brûlée that’s been whispered to by angels. Apricots that summer in the South of France. Pairs perfectly with: winning the lottery. Drink this when you want to feel like royalty, or at least like someone who knows which fork to use for the salad. Worth selling a kidney? Possibly. A religious experience? Absolutely.

Hate sweet wine but this was very good and complex

Rich in the nose with dried fruits and minerals. Great balance of sugar and acids, tastes of a symphony, including dried pear, honey,... Absolutely fantastic already now!

2005 De l'ananas confit, une longueur incroyable, de la douceur et encore de la douceur, avec de la puissance tout en restant nuancé. Bu 2 fois, parfait à chaque fois.

Añada 1996. Nariz muy compleja con hidrocarburos al inicio seguidos de un despliegue de matices interminable, cada vez que agitas la copa el vino va cambiando. En boca un equilibrio dulzor-acidez perfecto, intenso pero sutil a la vez. Largo, muy largo.

Sauternes hardly disappoints. Nose is sweetly perfumed with honey, honey, honey. Okay actually, petrol first but it’s sweet petrol that smells like honey. Ripen apricot, longan! Yeah, still sweet honey in the palate. A whiff of ginger and almond lingered. Woo la la.

Chose this to a dessert of rhubarb pie, both sweet and acidic so chose this one due to its complexity, and what an excellent choice! So many layers of honey, ginger, peach, marmalade, mango, caramel, oak, vanilla, jasmine; man the list is endless. So, freaking amazing!

45 ans pour ce sauternes-barsac d’une jeunesse insolente ;-) Aromatique somptueuse sur l’ananas rôti et le miel d’acacia. Texture sirupeuse. Il y a beaucoup de sucre et avec l’acidité le vin est très digeste. Une claque pour terminer le repas en beauté.

Eindelijk Climens. Hoge verwachtingen en stelt niet teleur. Honing, abrikoos, perzik, ananas, mango, bijenwas, caramel, bloemen, gist, thee, vanille, begin van geconfijte gember etc. Veel lengte en concentratie, maar met mooie zuren. Voor sauternes echt hele mooie zuren. Wauweiieiieieiieeii

素晴らしいワインだった 香りの引き出しの多さ、官能的な甘さの奥行き。 素晴らしい。 しかし、過去の貴腐ワインほどの感動はなかった。

1997年のビンテージ。 濃い蜂蜜と生姜、石を割った時のミネラル感ある香りが溢れる貴腐ワイン。 口に含むと香りの通りの蜂蜜と、オレンジピールのようなタンニンと、爽やかさを感じる。 シロップのようや感じはなく、貴腐が苦手な方でも充分美味しく味わえるのではないかと思います。

もうこんな色してるんだ！と思ったけど考えれば20年経ってるんだもんね。 上手く熟成したソーテルヌは甘味が良い加減に抜けて深みがあって美味しい。 2026.2 マルディグラ

Medium Amber color. The nose is a bit reduced, with notes of apricot, apple, orange peel, tamarind, raisins, safran, and honey. The mouth is quite sweet with nice acidity, long finish and a touch of spices.

Polished off 67PMTuesdayBlinder with a sweetie from my cellar. Sort of 8/9 on the sweetness scale. Waxy, wany, some stem ginger. Proper VFM! Served from 75cl.

Dessert wine to end the wonderful evening at The Grill with the visiting Hill family. Syrup honey apricots, lush creamy mouthfeel. Balanced acidity, lingering finish. Can’t have more than a glass but it felt like a celebratory dessert wine.

Dancing preserved apricot pops up. Pure smell like a rococo girl with smooth skin. The honey sweet vanishes swallowing the last drop, leaves the slight almond and vanilla swing around my throat.

シャトー・クリマン 2006。 バルサックに位置する、ソーテルヌ1級シャトー。 輪ゴムと石灰の香りが特徴的である。 輝きは強く、透き通った麦藁色。 嚥下した後、深呼吸をした時の香りの膨らみが素晴らしい。

2015 4.0 初めてのソーテルヌ。 セミヨンで作られているため苦味を若干感じる。 ねかせることで甘さと調和していくのだろうが、現時点ではバランスはまだまだ。 時間を重ねたものを飲んでみたい！

ワイン会にて。 4.1ポイント。 1973ヴィンテージ。 47年経ってると思えない味わい。 パイナップルやアプリコットの甘みがあるソーテルヌ味だが、甘みが削ぎ落とされた印象。 ※シャトー・クリマンはボルドーの南東、ガロンヌ河の左岸に位置する。 先祖代々、数百年にも渡り受け継いできた卓越性と並はずれた気品は、「バルサックの領主」と称えられ、テロワールの奥深さを引き立てた世界一の名声を誇る甘口白ワインを丹念に造っている。 メドックと同じく1855年に格付けを行い、高い品質を誇るクリマンは当然の如くプルミエ・クリュに格付けされた。

Tropical stone fruit, vanilla, and candle wax while remaining fresh and medium bodied.

Nectar on the nose. Lime, honey.

Apricot fruit still present, but dominated by crème brûlée and burnt caramel notes which was bitter and detracts. The sweetness leans more towards oxidative richness than fresh fruit.

Reductive stinker from the Semillon grape. Orange peel and honey with ginger. Some caramel and nutty with marmelade.

Would have liked a bit more sweetness but can’t say I had given it the best home for the last 25 years
