Fantastique champagner
Great when paired w a salty blue cheese
Excellent
Exceptional dessert wine
Excellent
Magnificent Sauterne! Spectacular treasure! Apricot, vanilla, leather, prune, raisin, melon, peach, honey, marmalade, orange, honeysuckle, acacia, persimmon, walnut, baked apple.
Potentiel (2020 en 2023)
Not as sweet as de Fargues, but this also has less burn. Runner-up of the five Sauternes tasted, or if not, certainly Top 3.
Dulzura y salinidad, maderas, turron nueces y melocoton en almibar, gran recuerdo en boca y alta elegancia
Licht zacht mooi in balans.
2010: Notes de liqueur, abricot caramel un peu brûlé, vanille 1999: Pâte d'amande, marmelade d'orange Notes maderisees (Porto)
Très bon sauternes aux notes de miel
honey apricot peach First time having sauternes Full body, super smooth. Honey and sweet on palate One of the best that i love
This was a spectacular wine. It was only a 375ml bottle but we all got a taste of it. This was the last wine we opened for OTBN 2019.
What a surprise to have this at Eleven Madison Restaurant in NYC. Paired fantastic with the dessert. “Liquid gold” is a great way to describe it.
Punches way above its weight. Such a lovely nose and palate, not too buttery but still so concentrated, dancing on the palate. Great stuff.
All of the nutty, honeyed flavor you’d expect from a Sauternes with a slight dryness on the finish that perfectly counteracts the sugar
Honeysuckle, stewed apricots, marmalade, honey, ginger, ripe apples, wet stone. Such length and vibrant acidity. Could easily go on for longer!
If you don’t like overly sweet(ish) wines from Sauternes this might be a very good example to taste. Large tasting, no detailed TN.
Beautiful gold colour. Not too sweet. Pairs extremely well with dark chocolate tarts and icecream. A wine that makes you happy. Simple as that.
VINEXPO 2017. 95%Semillon+5%SB. 9,0 PM
The best I've tasted in a while. Sweet without being cloying, with an almost milk - like taste and mouthfeel with beautiful honeyed flavor. A real pleasure!
Beautiful, elegant and graceful. Basically think of your mom. Now imagine the exact opposite. Drink this often and everything in your life will be better.
Very well balanced. Tasted with Foie Gras and it was a perfect combination. Honey and apricot comes to my mind but there is a lot going on here. Huge potential.
Winner of several prices in France. Great vintage. Apricot, honey, syrup, dried fruits like papaya, mango, fig, vanilla, pear, nuts. Great acidity for a Sauternes. Long finish.
Well expressed botrytis: honey, spices. Basis of pears, peaches and supplement by caramel, darker fruit notes. Sweet, fresh, balanced with a bit botrytis Nd caramel bitternes on the finish..
2017. Delicious stone honey apricot marmalade orange. A tad thick. Quite sweet. Delayed acid at back of mouth. A little ginger orange lemon zest situation as well. Long finish.
Salon - grand vin of Clos Haut Peyraguey. Surprisingly we liked this 2016 and the 2011 better than the 2015 and 2008. This 2016 is fresh, floral, exotique and very deeply, sweet. Great!

Sam said drink this
2017 in 24, nice Sauternes.
Peach, peach, peach. Ok apricot as well! Lovely sweet wine but not overly sweet and cloying like some. Bit of light honey there too. Great stuff
A great sauternes to end the Christmas night. From a first growth producer. Bernard-Magrez bought the estate in 2012. Delicious stuff.
Great Sauternes, after an amazing vertical of Almaviva. Aromas of honey, apricot, peach, orange, citrus. Very well developed and aged. Sweet but not cloying.
smoke, lemon, citrus, orange, apricot, honey. creamy, decent focus, verticality could be more pronounced. vanilla, banana. structure is pretty good - could be better.

My experience of this wine expressed by Robert Parker scale: 50 pt in start color and appearance 5/5 pt aroma and bouquet 13/15 pt flavor and finish 17/20 pt subjective factor and experience 8/10 pt. Sum is 93 pt and it corelates with Vivino 4,2⭐️
Scratched the itch for a dessert wine yesterday with a saucy Sauterne. Mix of 92% Semillon, 5% SB, and 3% Muscadelle. Had the 2016 and gave it four stars but the 2017 grabs a 4.2. Swirling aromas of cooked pineapple, apricot, chamomile and mint. Regal mouth of pineapple, honeycomb, orange peel and noble rot. Sweet but not cloying. Great QPR at $30 for a halfie. Had it with salted pita chips while gazing at the cherry blossoms and listening to tunes by the Gin Blossoms.
Supers balance of acidity and sweetness with layers of developing fruits honey tea … a great showcase of what 2001 Sauternes will bring
Good bottle of Sauternes. On the sweet side with pronounced nodes of honeycomb, mango, peaches. Goes well with Cheese. Colour is towards golden amber. Well balanced with long finish.
Last bottles tasting at home @Nilton Vieira conclave in Ecuador, pic borrowed from him, delicious Sauterners, lovely golden colour, peach, apricot, and heavenly sweetness 😍 Big cheers my friends 🥂🥂
la salon So sweet!!
Sucré Gras en bouche Noisette
Very nice. Pretty young but have had much older Sauternes that don’t have much more complexity than this so I was pretty satisfied
Nice to end the evening, light and more balanced with a decent amount of acidity. Nice golden colour and a fairly quick finish with flavours of honey, apricot, peach, orange and stone
Bu à l'UGCB Nez : Excellent Goût : Bon Bouche : Excellent Longueur : Oui Qualité/Prix : Bon
Need to taste more but I taste Honey Apricot lemon. It’s got a nice mineral quality to it. Not excessively sweet. A gls a night of this is nice!
🍇 93% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon White Full-bodied, flavours of peach 🍑, mango 🥭, pineapple 🍍, candied orange 🍊 zests, nice sweetness, long finish.
Also from the Bernard Magrez group, Clos Haut-Peyraguey have managed the tricky 2012 conditions in Sauternes well. There isn't a lot of botrytis on this wine. It has the friendly, fruity nature of decent 2012 Sauternes, and has achieved reasonable concentration despite the autumn rain. Very tropical, plus peach, citrus and honey. Vanilla and a touch of ginger. Soft, fresh and easy. No particular complexity, feels younger than it is. 3.75*, rounded up for honest drinkability!
Appearance: deep yellow colour with golden hues Bouquet: very aromatic nose, lifted and pungent Palate: very sweet on the palate backed by medium acidity , it shows notes of wild flowers, honeycomb, stone fruits, exotic fruits and baked stone fruits
Saffron, ginger, apricot, honey. 135 g/lt RS and nice sustaining acidity.
Delicious alkaline Sauternes which major aromatic note is orange peel...followed by honey and some flower. Very easy on the palate. Long lasting finish.
(4,0) Accessible Sauternes. Solid and balanced. A bit sweet, but with solid acidity. Not a very complex Sauternes, but enjoyable. Nectarine, pineapple, banana.
Pale gold color and a restrained nose showing a bit of pineapple, guava and honey but just lacking sufficient apricot and caramel to give it real botrtis character. Nice but a bit lacking
This is one of the 4 chateaus from Pernard Magrez, and it's a relatively good sauternes sweet. Lychee, peach, apricot, pear, bright acidity, it's good quality and must have a high potential of aging.
I like good sweet wine, gimme that botrytis, and this is good. perfumed but not potpourri, honey and ginger and yuzu 2001 was dark and the years have given it a petroleum scent that adds complexity
Moist honey. Muscat incense. With the not sweet cake of Christmas.
honey pineapple apricot peach beeswax
2012 one has distinct sour plum jam aroma and flavour. 2016 is less open with nearly no plums.
Fresh, citrusy, lemony, sweet and light. More maple syrup than honey, and its not as well balanced as I would prefer.
2016. Too sweet for my idea of Sauternes
Not great but perfectly acceptable with pudding. Wouldn't necessarily do well on its own. A little light with medium viscosity, probably a function of the vintage. Straightforward nose and palate, short finish. Fresh acidity.
