This was an awesome sweet pairing with the three dessert courses at Les Agitateurs in Nice. Notes of baked apple, poached pear, dried apricot, marmalade, honey, cinnamon and ginger. More please!

Vin doux naturel. Toujours eu une appétence pour le sucre mais là c'est très costaud, doux sans en faire trop, frais, pas du tout écœurant. Je vends tous mes quarts de chaume pour faire de la place à ces bouteilles

Senteur notes sucré et boisé, mais très équilibré en goût sucré pas trop liquoreux.

Haven’t had many Langeudoc-Roussillon dessert wines so happy to try this. Blend of Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and Grenache Gris. Nice complex young wine. Floral honey, apple, pear, peach, mild tropical notes. Full bodied (15.5%), very sweet with well balanced moderate acidity and a long finish.

Le Maury c'est la vie, et le blanc de surcroît. Pêches jaunes, mirabelles, prunes au miel. Petit sirupeux en bouche, on a de la fraîcheur et pas trop d'alcool. Sur le podium des Maury derrière M.A et Roc des Anges.

Nice and well rounded sweet wine, not overly sweet but rather pleasant. Honey, peach and melon is here. Tasty with dessert!

Very élégant nose on pear and light honey, floral as well. Light in color but intense in taste, alcohol and sugar and ideally balanced. Nice energy, almost vibrant. The whole thing built on a strong acidity. High drinkability!!

Pear, peach and honey. Almonds and marzipan. Sweet and soft, with fresh acid. Excellent dessert wine.

4,2/5 Mais que c’est booonn! Super Maury au nez sur la pêche au sirop. En bouche on retrouve ce sirop accompagné de poire et de miel. Excellent équilibre.

Superbe sur un dessert au chocolat

Honey, pear, apples...good for what it is but too sweet for my palate

While in Montreal, we went to one of the best restaurant in Montreal. The official pairing was over, but we still had dessert to go. The Sommelier asked us if we wanted a glass of dessert wine, warning us that we would not be able to identify it blind. He was right! Another Languedoc wine, made from Grenache Gris, Macabeu and Grenache Blanc. The nose was very strong with apple (I would have guessed sweet cider if I did not know it was a wine), with honey and a little pear. Not overly sweet.

[soirée oeno blind taste] des notes fruits blancs, miel, et d'hydrocarbure assez marquées, de la rondeur, du gras, du sucre et de l alcool, mais avec une pointe d acidité dynamisante. Les notes d hydrocarbures nous on fait penser a un riesling vendanges tardives...perdu c'était à l autre bout de la France. Je ne connaissais pas le maury blanc, une découverte sympa.

Maury Fagayra tasting at Roc des Anges. Stephane Gallet (RdA), Marjories husband, is the guy behind Terres de Fagayra and the rare Maury blanc. 70 % Grenache Gris and 30 % Macabeo. Desert wine. Exotic tropical nose. Ripe yellow fruits, like pineapple. Preserved pear and deep schisty minerals. Hints of dextrose (that I don't appreciate). Oily, creamy texture. Long, dry exit. Should pair well with Stilton or Foie Gras.

Not suitable for aging.

Medium + fylde med cremet men alligevel afdæmpede sødme, dejlig friskhed samt en rank syre. Næsen giver kandiserede appelsinskal, mandarin, akrikos, mandler og krydderier.

Nice sweet wine.

Robe dorée claire. Au nez, notes miellées, florale, pêche au sirop. En bouche, plutôt sucrée mais garde une belle fraîcheur, avec une aromatique sur la gelée de coing

Robe jaune citron. Bouquet de fruits jaunes (abricots confits). Néanmoins, une note de boisé humide (ou de carton mouillé) empêche la plénitude sur cette dégustation. La bouche est liquoreuse, bien entendu, mais l'aromatique reste douteuse, malgré une finale onctueuse.

Est ce bon ? Est ce mauvais ? Des défauts au nez. En bouche mieux mais dissonnant.
