A very satisfying amontillado sherry wine. Bright orange colour. It has a mouthwatering savoury smell. Mushroom, tobacco, leather ,fresh focaccia aromas with a nutty, caramel, saline, brine, roasted hazelnut and walnut flavours. Acidic, bone dry and long lasting finish. A sherry wine that could be a reference to define the category itself. It would not upset anyone even if it is their first sherry wine.

Clear, deep brown. Clean & pronounced. Aromas of roasted hazelnut, almond, caramel, toffee, saline, mushroom and a hint of bruised apple (?) The palate is dry with med acidity and med alcohol. The body is med + and the finish is long and savoury with a hint of bitterness at the end. It has pronounced intensity that follows from the nose. Outstanding Sherry. Very rich and pronounced with deep concentration of flavour and bright acidity. Drinking now, will not improve but will hold.
For sure the best sherry I tried so far!

Color ámbar claro, nariz miel con balsámicos, madera noble muy marcada, toque de naranja y almendra. En boca envolvente, agradable, almendrados, larguísimo, notas de dulzor muy muy sutiles

Revisit to this wine after 2 years. Light in colour but not in flavour. Saline, almond, massive mouthfeel with an elegant endless finish. At £40 approximately for 500ml it’s not cheap but great value.

Tasted in Jerez, pours copper orange with saline minerality, Yeast and toffee on the nose. On the tongue it is saline, salty yeast with faint hints of toffee and lemon leading to a salty finish. Nice complexity

This is a very fine sherry, indeed! Dry, refined nose, almonds, dry fruit, copper colored.
Amber, helder, in neus boenwas, sinaasappelschil, kruiden ( fenegriek ), koffie, chicorei, chocolade, appel honing, in mond heel veel zuren, pittig, mooie balans, elegant en krachtig. Heel mooi.

Estupendo amontillado, súper complejo, intenso en nariz y con una gran sensación en boca, todavía con un buen toque punzante. Muy recomendable.

Vaya por delante que no es un tipo de vino que suela beber habitualmente es más, no me suelen gustar pero con este vino he cambiado de opinión. Súper elegante y sorprendentemente accesible, aunque también es verdad que por ese precio no se puede esperar menos…

Sopar a Smoked Room (Madrid). Molt recomanable fer el maridatge . El sommelier adapta el mateix a cada client depenen de gustos i els plats del dia. Tot petit productors i projectes petits. I pel bonus track final, tall de wagyu marcadet a la brasa aquest Amontillado. Oxidació, fruits secs, mel, punt salí. De la maneta amb aquesta meravella de carn.
Incríveis 22 anos, 4 anos sob flor e depois 18 anos em botas de carvalho americano. Bem intenso, maçã seca, damasco, flor branca, amêndoa, avelã, caramelo, verniz. Palomino Fino de Pago Balbaína, soleras centenárias da bodega La Honda (que fica em nível mais baixo que as outras, tendo neblina fria e mais umidade) em El Puerto de Santa María, sem filtrar, 22% álcool. Really nice Amontillado from this great producer. Toasted almonds, hints of peanuts, caramel & butterscotch and old furniture. A little high alcohol, with a good saline touch.
Strasznie glicerolowe, rozpuszczalnikowe, kwasne i z lekkim jablkiem, zadnych nut oksydacyjnych, lekki dym, 3,8, s: no wiecej nut utlenienia, ale alko pali starszliwie, sporo dymu, a tak glicerol, mocne winogrona, skorkowosc, i fajny dluuugi finisz, 3,9 overall.
Gut, aber nicht sehr gut. Interessante Geschmacksnoten, salzig, nussig, etwas Caramel. Geschmeidig, mit schöner Farbe und Lagrima. Dennoch fehlende Komplexität und Tiefe, etwas hölzern und mit schwachem Abgang. Insgesamt enttäuschend, mit ungenügender P/L.

I've tried a few dry sherries now and I think I just don't like them. Nice aroma of raisins and brandy, but the sourness and dryness just don't work for me.
