Ottimo passito della Malvasia delle Lipari. Colore dorato. Intenso ma allo stesso tempo equilibrato. Note di albicocca, miele e canditi. Ottimo per fine pasto o abbinamento con formaggi stagionati.

4,5 excellent, added to my favorites Giallo dorato chiaro, cristallino e luminoso. Al naso esprime belle note di albicocca, fichi, nespole, sentori di lavanda e di timo, richiami di mandorla. Al palato è dolce, di immediata sapidità e freschezza, avvolgente e di ottimo equilibrio.

This is good and complex. Sweet and savory at the same time. Candied apricot. Salted honey. Cinnamon with caramel. Dried Longans and preserved plums. Rich thick mouthfeel with a long finish.

Clear, medium amber color in appearance with medium intensity of aromas on the nose. Honey, marmalade, peach, dried apricots, ginger, nutty, nectarine. Sweet, high acidity, medium alcohol, full bodied. Exceptional long finish, very good quality, love the sweet wine!!

Un vino passito che si fa apprezzare per una piacevole freschezza che smorza leggermente la nota dolce, così da non farlo risultare stucchevole.

Let it breath a bit. It is well balanced, not too heavy, nice acidity and miberalits, perfect with desserts.

I really like this. 95% Malvasia di Lipari, dominating of course, and 5% Corinto Nero. From the islands of Salina and Vulcano, the latter being an active volcano. South East facing, around 400m, 25yr vines late harvested, apassimento, SS maturation, 18months ageing and 6 in bottle. 13% alcohol. My first MdLP. Happy to say I feel it offers something unique: the minerality from the volcanic soils. Balsamic, apricot, mandarin, almond, fig, notes of lavender and thyme. Molto elegante.

Fantastic dessert wine from the hauner winery. Light honey, apricot raisin. A lovely candied orange peel richness to the finish. Deep amber and clear. A lovely wine to finish with tiramisu.

From old notes 📒. Dessert wine from Aeolian island belonging to Sicily. Golden color with amber tones. Intense profumes of ripe figs, apricots, orange peel, raisins and caramel. Taste is sweet but fresh not boring. Velvety. Corresponding to profumes and also with rosemary, baked apple, lavender, marzipan and sweet spices tones. Also nutty in aftertaste.

Fantastic sweet Malvasia from Sicily. Not overly sweet and with age, it has developed into a complex and deep wine. Soft raisins, honey, almond paste and old wood. The alcohol has fully integrated and you get some leathery tertiary elements. Big and balanced mouth. Really impressive.

Malvasia delle Lipari 95%, Corinto Nero 5%, acciaio. Dorato-ambrato, con olfatto dominato da sentori floreali (fiore d’arancio, ginestra) e speziati, con miele e frutta disidratata. Una bella freschezza e sapidità sorreggono un sorso dolce ma per niente stucchevole, anzi con un bell’equilibrio

Notes of apricot, pear, and apple with a hint of raisin and fig. On the palate, a little ginger and honey taste. Buttery. Long finish. Enyobale to drink. Goes well with a sweet dessert.

Honey and raisins on the nose, followed by ginger and nectarine in mouth. Almost no tannins and a long aftertaste. Sweet, obviously, but very, very balanced and enjoyable. Better paired with dessert.

Intenso, abbastanza complesso, qualità fine. Molto dolce e fresco insieme. Dolce, caldo, morbido, fresco, sapido. Equilibrato, intenso, abbastanza persistente, fine. Abbastanza complesso, pronto, abbastanza armonico.

Voto 86/100 Aspetto cristallino giallo dorato estremamente consistente. Al naso intenso e complesso di qualità fine Miele e castagne! Fruttato (pesca gialla, albicocca, frutta candida) floreale (ginestra camomilla) vegetale (salvia e rosmarino) In bocca dolce caldo, morbido e sapido. Intenso, molto persistente ed equilibrato. Permane albicocca e sapidità.

Cristallino, colore ambrato. Al naso intenso, complesso e fine. Prevalgono le note fruttate. Abbastanza caldo, intenso ed equilibrato. Ottimo in abbinamento ad un gorgonzola verde.

Full bodied

Malvasia delle Lipari! A pretty elegant and juicy sweet wine with apricot confiture and dried apricots in the nose that pair to delicious sweet white flowers and roasted almonds and form a fruity and ripe bouquet. Hints of white chocolate and creamy notes come to the nose as well. At the palate good acidity and delicious aftertastes of orange confiture and a lovely slight bitterness that stay for quite some time at the palate. A perfect ending to a wonderful dinner! In the south of Italy, especially in Sicily, the grapes for sweet wines are dried on racks in the sun in order to lose water and concentrate aromas and sugars. This 100% Malvasia is a good example for that: rum raisins, orange confit, dried apricot and a touch of marzipan. Not too fat, but smooth and silky with a refreshing acidity and a well fitting amount of residual sugar - again dried and mature fruit! In the finish it also shows some salty caramell - not a bad one and perfect with my Apple

A really nice bottle of malvasia grape. Strong character wine,full body. High intensity of earthy notes and fully ripen dark berries aroma on nose. Plum apricot.vanilla. light tobacco, leather and medium tannins on palate. Medium aftertaste.

2015, un filino sotto la malvasia dolce di Caravaglio. In questo passito manca un po' di freschezza. Comunque un buon passito con sapore prevalente di albicocca e miele.

La tipicità del territorio è questa produzione. Buona, fresca, dolce ma mai stucchevole.

2021v. Better after breathing. Subtle, light honey, sultan raisins, apricot (as a light syrup drink), white flowers. Muddled, not distinct. Fine aroma - more intriguing that taste. A passito style, and here more light than many dessert wines. Great as a low ABV dessert wine. I generally like it, but it falls short in terms of price vs my preference/joy.
