Sister's Run St Ann's Grenache

Love it! Smooth, light, lovely flavour, and the price? Wow!! Picked this up for $14.00 for the half dozen. Cheap as and honestly one of the best reds I have tasted. I love my reds (as you can see!) but this one honestly takes the cake! If you get the opportunity, buy one. You will be surprised!

Lovely! Quite intense in aroma and body. This is No Wishy washy Grenache but it’s still magical. Violet and sweet cherry. Fuller bodied but still definitely a McLaren Vale Grenache. Super delicious.

Ruby to violet color, smells a blend if tuttifrutti and raspberry, taste is dry and with oak, grass, licorice and raspberry. Like a pimped chocolate!

Perfect to veal chop and root vegetables, herbs butter. Fruity with strawberries, blackberries, little touch of licorice I got a hint to PN

Ruby red colour with. Leather perfume . Thyme ,smoked ham roasted vegetables and cloves.intense feeling but quite low levels of tannins and acidity .

Pleasant start. Red currant or plum for the nose. Pepper and almost licorice on the tongue. Smooth and round around the edges. Very good value for money!

This was my second time. Still not really used to the grenache grape. This is still fruity, herb, blackberry and some raspberry and perhaps some strawberry this time.

A touch of acetone with black plums, black berries on the nose. On the palate, black fruit with a touch of alcohol. Medium minus acidity. Medium plus tannins. A nice drink now wine from this region.

Really enjoy this Ausie Grenache made in small family winery. 4- Ruby color, ripen red berries aromas follows into taste, live acidity combined with light tannins. Nice spices in aftertaste, chocolate and smoked plums. Pleasant wine to enjoy alone or combine with steak your favorite way.

Pale garnet color. Intensive nose: strawberry and plum jam, sweet vanilla, butter, burned sugar. Light+ body, low+ acidity, fine tannins, high alcohol. Mature, jammy-sweet palate (two years ago it was much more on the ripe fruit side) and delicate bitter finish. Still very enjoyable New World grenache.

3.9 Great value. Medium body wine with good balance and length. Clear red fruit with hints of dark fruit. Raspberry, cherry. Slightly Savory and herbal pepper Thyme. Maybe some licorice. Oak is prescent, not fully integrated unfortunatly. Some vanilla with the sarier fruits blackberry jam. It’s a Young wine made to be enjoyed Young. Won’t get old. Low acidity and tanninstructure is not there to battle time.

Pretty good big body cab from Aus. Value for $20C. Some funk on the nose but pleasant vanilla, oak and dark red fruit. Would get again! (This is for the cab sauv. Vivino causing me issues putting on their Grenache)

I have to admit that I am a sucker for Grenache. There are many of them out there, this one from Australia. No blend, 100% Grenache. It tastes good! Lot of hints from red berries, strawberries and raspberries and a little bit of chocolate as well. I can drink it with almost anything but experts recommend it with light red meat as pork or lamb. Enjoy!

Black cherry and dark chocolate in the nose. I could actually smell a hint of sweetness. Dark chocolate is the leading note, followed closely by black cherry. A hint of vanilla and oak in the finish.

Sött nästan som en ripasso men 100% Grenache. Inte alls dum. Med Magnus och Felix efter en lång dag som ostförsäljare på Rödlöga ostmarknad.

More sweet than I expected, can definitely pick up the notes of chocolate but overall very smooth and good quality wine. Good value for money.

This wine is great, it is very easy to drink with flavours of berries and a slight herbiness. Pleasant to enjoy with a nice steak.

Tasting with Winemaker Elena Brooks. Grenache is apparently super hot in Oz right now. Perfumey violet, blackcurrant, plum and vanilla on the nose. Bright cherry, blackberry, black raspberry on the palate. A little bit ofnseed bitters, black tea, forest floor, fine tannin and dry finish.

A bit musty on the nose but taste surpasses it - red fruits, quite acidic but good with a burger

Light and fruity

Very smooth and light wine. No tannins at all. Great fruit with rich taste from a mix of red berries! Great with pasta in my opinion!

I doubt one of my sister's would even touch this.... V brambley. The one a care about drinks gin anyway. Don't let gold stickers fool you.....

Pepper and some tobacco. The strawberries lent me in to the wrong way... Hard one in today's blind tasting. Went quit well with my hamburger though! 😁

This delightful Grenache from McLaren Vale is medium bodied, soft, smooth, and fruity with a gentle spice. The wine shows notes of dark plum, cassis, blackberries, strawberries, and a gentle white pepper spice. The low level tannins are soft and smooth. The finish is long and fruity with a gentle spice. This wine is best enjoyed while still young due to the low levels of acid and tannins. The wine was enjoyed after aeration.

Easy breezy Garnacha with some oak if you like that! 👀 Medium ruby. 👃 Medium intensity nose that contains a bit too much oak for my taste, chocolate and tobacco quite prominent, also spicy anise and thyme, ok fruit too: cherry, blackberry, raspberry and red currant. 👅 Simple but ok intensity and balance, medium acidity, low tannin, some strawberry that I really like in garnacha is on the finnish as well as vanilla, medium length.

A: Clear. Deep ruby. N: Clean. Medium intensity. Raspberry, blackberry, cloves and tobacco. Developing. P: Dry. Medium(+) acidity. Medium tannins. High alcohol. Full body. Medium flavour intensity. Red cherry, raspberry, cream, black pepper and cloves. Medium finish. Good balance. A good wine. Can drink now but has potential for ageing. Good with roast chicken.

Прозрачно- рубиновый. Нос несколько закрыт, но тело эксплозивно черешневое, с тутовником и дикой геранью. Танины сглаженные, незаметные почти.

Fick mig att osökt tänka på lakrits-hallon-dödskallar. Men så har också Grenach (100 % här) lakrits i sin palett. Blev lite väl mycket för min smak.

Lite vattnigt, platt

Very fuitty. Smoky, a slight of burnt scent on the nose. A bit wattery. Full bodied wine but on lighter side of red, semi transparent. 14.5% alc.

Blueberry with a touch of tobacco smoke and mint. It taste blueberry raspberry and perhaps some plum. Leather and tobacco in the aftertaste. Ok wine, serve it really cold...

Ljusröd tunn och saftig.

Love the story behind the boot and heel. Needs quite a lot of air for the acidity to chill out. A bit artifical oak notes. Strawberry and raspberry on both nose and palette.
