Kovács Nimród Furmint Nagy Eged Grand Cru

Strong concentrated material with volcanic and barrel driven notes. Very inviting on the nose but too oxidised and too much old barrel to my taste. The type of wine you often find in Somlo/ Tokaj volcanic soil that the wine when young just does not seem to be ready for the bottle because of its high acidity and wild characted and by the time it softens up in the barrel it got too much oxidation. You need to bottle it when it does not seem to be rounded and wait in the bottle
