タンニンはなく、酸味が少しあり何の抵抗もなく香りが口から鼻へ通ってゆく。甘酸っぱい余韻が残る。 しばらくすると香ばしいカラメルの香りがする。酸味が増す。蜜いもの香りもする。

ワイナリーで地域名、ヴォーヌ・ロマネ、ヴォーヌ・ロマネ1re、グラン・エシェゾーの水平的テイスティング。ここで働けることを誇りに思うと言ってくれるアメリカ生まれでやたら英語が流暢だったソムリエールに導かれて。小さな私にとっては宇宙旅行のような体験だ。確実に、着実に1本1本が異なるが、広い宇宙で再開してもまた見分けられるか全く不明確な点が人の美しさだ。ところで14時くらいだったが、ジモティーとみられるおっちゃん4人組がアポ無しでテイスティングバーに飛び込んできた。とくに予約無しでも待てば飲めるとのことで、近場の飲み屋を兼ねているようだ。なんてオシャレなんだと痛感すると共に、日本のワイナリーも気軽に行ってみたくなった。

The vineyard is located on a slope that receives just a few hours of morning sun, so the grapes ripen very slowly. 👃Vanilla, blueberry, blackberry, a touch of smoke, forest floor 😋You’ll have a hard time finding a more elegant wine. Strawberry, cherry, raspberry. Beautiful oak presence. Elegant tannins. Perfect acidity structure.

Tasting at the Domaine - another tight wine, with a closed nose, strawberries, black cherries and a ton of potential as this one matures.

Very nice nose. Red fruit, floral, a bit candy. Palate is smooth, fresh, medium body, medium acidity, tasty. Long interesting after taste.

Nose smells creamy, vanilla, balance use of oak and good fruits. Palate is subtle red cranberries, juicy and chewy velvety tannins. Good finish. Great wine!!

Nice shimmering red shows the freshness of the wine. Red berries were so evident in the nose and palate. Tannins are fine and drinks down so smoothly. Mid finish. Very well balance structure.

Burgundy tasting #5. Great producer. This wine was fantastic. Everything you expect from burgundy wines. Elegant, thin tannins, acidity +. Many layers of aroma, complex wine. Ripe red fruit (ripe strawberry, ripe cherry). Ripe black fruit ( black cherry, blackcurrant). Excellent tertiary notes of earthy, minerals, mushroom, forest floor. Well balanced fruit/oak. Really excellent wine!

This wine is seamlessly harmonious and complex. It pairs very well with strong taste Thai food (not the most spicy ones). But it's not a high QPR wine. Try the mixed decanting way (40% in a decanter & the rest in the bottle) if you don't want to wait long. Then you can mix them after 45mins and enjoy it instantly.

I liked this wine the best of all the wines we had at the burgundy tasting. Mmmmm!! Awesome maker and awesome wine! Wow! Caramel. Softly acidic, delicious, and balanced. Lingering, round, and powerful. Oaky, slightly tannic. Graphite, gameyness, green peppercorns. Cassis. Big and gentle fruit. Wonderful after shine. I would love to have this again in 10 years. I might enter this wine in the bring your best competition at Buon Vino next year. This wine was quite nice! I wish it was less expensive

Worthy of the 200$ price. Cherry colour and a nose of cherry and plum- some oak and some beautiful floral Notes. Palate was soft and full complex developed fruit like cherry and plum. Warm tannins and med acidity left you with a lovely mouth feel and long lasting finish that lasted forever in my opinion. Just delicious wine.

Elegance et ampleur. Vin très bien fait mais plutôt sur la barrique. Un pinot noir précis et puissant à la fois. Encore jeune, mérite un temps d'aeration pour s'ouvrir.

Two hour double decant. Deep ruby magenta color. Rich black cherry pie filling, dark raspberry, red currant, anise, and lemon madeleine. Smooth, dry palate, with nice, lingering acidity. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish. Don and Heather brought this to our Valentine’s Day supper club. Youth is the only flaw on this guy. It’s already very nice/accessible if given a healthy decant. This is the sort of bottle that makes me think I like Pinot.

This 2006 was singing. Guessed Chambolle. Feminine style. Complex. Colour: Rim is brownish showing age. Lovely ripe red fruits, jam like, rose and violets, red plums with a bit of forest floor and vanilla. Palate: plush but not big, M body. Tannins are quite ethereal. Strawberry, cassis. Long finish. A very seductive wine.

2015: Delicious, very fine & delicate on the palate, sublime Pinot Noir. Maybe on the nose could be a bit more expressive but this is one of the finest Burgundy I tasted 👌

More familiar with Mongeard than most. This wine is surprising, since I have had his Vosne romanees for 15 years straight. This one is tight, the fruit is sharp tart and sour cherry, forest floor, with toast notes of Dr. Pepper, with a touch of barnyard....and there is the suprise. I obviously opened this wine 7-10 years to early. But the wine speaks to the high acid and freshness of the vintage. Good wine, needs time.

WOTN for me, good value for price. strawberry minerals pepper in the nose while dried rose cassis chocolate red cherry in the mouth.
